Angry Birds Poached Eggs 3 Star Walkthrough Level 1-7

Poached Eggs level 1-7 is one of the first challenging levels in Angry Birds. You should aim for the bottom left wood plank, trying to hit it as hard as possible so all the pigs pop and/or roll off the edge. The score in the video below is 45,790.

Got a high score on 1-7 (screenshot)

I got the wood block to break (somehow…) and all the ice fell down, and they pushed the stone over (stone at the bottom left) which gave me a score of 54210.

FWIW, I moved your comment to the level page. In general, I think they can both better serve the community and are easier to to find here.

Trev, I think I know how you broke the piece of wood with one bird. You hit the wood with the bird which severely damaged it. Then the pig jumped up and landed on the wood, breaking it.(Trust me, I’ve had this happen before)

I have been close to this many times, but not been able to fully break it. You have to hit the wood just right, have the red bird go straight up and hope it hits the wood again on the way down. Or the pig would have to break it. This one is pure luck to wher you hav to shoot it hundreds of times, for th one time chance.

This is a good example where Kathy can pull out the Einstein quote again.

I did get the plank to break in a single strike. It did not involve the bird jumping up and falling back to hit the wood again, the plank simply shattered on impact. Too bad right pig did not fall :(

Returned to this level last night, and on my first ten flings I got the end of the bottom horizontal wood plank to break. Both times ice cascaded to toward the lower left side giving me scores, one being 53K+ and the other being my high of 55K+. I play on i-Phone platform. This is one of those instances when I wonder if the level has been tweaked since the last version came out…I remember this particular level giving me fits in the past.

Being a newcomer I can’t comment on older versions, but with 5.0.0 breaking the plank is pretty straightforward. There seem to be two sweet spots. A dead-on hit will often break the plank but not cause collapse.

Find the angle that takes out the ice block right above, then aim very slightly lower. If you hit it right, the bird will take out both the ice block and wood plank and penetrate the structure. This will usually cause the left half of the structure to collapse reliably giving 51K – 54K.

Okay, problem clarified, if not solved. I tried v2.0.2 on another device and the behavior of the bird striking the lower horizontal wooden board is distinctly different. With v5.0.0 I never see the bird bounce straight up but the board breaks about every other try. With v2.0.2 I did see the bird bounce a few times but never got the board to break.

So–if you want an easy 50K+ score on this level, update to 5.0.0!

Thanks to @tnatiuk17piano, @blahalb09, @pointdexter5 for the strategy and suggestions. I have been able to break the board at least 7 times but the ice has not fallen. The two bottom ice blocks on the left hold in place.

The following has aided in making consistant flings that damage the board over and over again: zoom in close, pull back on the sling and lower the sling to the grey line of the mountain background. There is a little point on the bottom of the launch basket. That point has to be seen but it also has to be closest to the grey mountain line. This is tricky but it is there. It seems to disaappear when the bird talks. It goes in an out of the bottom of the basket.

Tips for eagle destruction on Chrome:

– I found this to be a BIG PAIN in the b— until I found out a good strategy. Fire however many birds you can to break the wood and send the ice falling. Then try to break the other piece of wood and put the can next to the farthest right piece of ice. This may take you hours, but its worth having the feather.

– For very experienced shooters, play with the placement in front of the structure on the ground for making it bounce up and destroy the structure in 1 shot.

Talking about 1-7. It wasn’t hard for me to break the wooden plank, but when i did the whole structure just landed on the stone blocks and nothing happened. But finally i got perfect hit which cause the building to collapse giving me beautiful 56,200. :D

@kreyzcee, is it possible that you hit Red’s Mighty Feather by mistake? I’ve gotten into the upper 60s with RMF with +10K for the extra bird and several K more in extra damage. I purchased RMF when it came out and later regretted it when I joined ABN as I had to send in my LUA file to Slim to get my legitimate scores. Apparently there’s no other way to tell.

I personally loathe replies like “I don’t know how I did it” or “I walked away and…”, “I don’t know how to take a screenshot during the game”. For the latter one, it’s 2015, that’s not a valid excuse. A screen shot after the fact also proves nothing. Just my opinion.

I don’t want to personally attack you here, that is not my intent, but even if all three pigs and a bunch of debris has been achieved, I just don’t see how there is another 10k of debris left unless the entire level would be wiped out. That’s highly unlikely.
I understand you say you do not play with power-ups, but do other people in your friends/family have access to your device and did they maybe play? Based on your after the fact screen shot, it’s clear that you do not have power-ups disabled, since they are not grayed out. I have mine disabled, so I can not even take it as an option unless I purposely re-enable them.

Probably best to send your score files (LUA) to the admins, so they can see if this is a genuine score or not. There are instructions on the forums on how to do this.

@kreyzcee There would not be a lightning bolt next to the score. See here for more information on that topic.

I think this score should be removed. I believe you accidentally used a Power Up of some fashion.

Again, as @PointDexter5, I hope you don’t feel as though we are attacking you. I truly believe this was accidental. It is a major issue that ABo does not distinguish Power Up and “clean” score in-game on-screen.

It sure would be nice if Rovio would come out with a ABO Score Reader app that would display the highscores.lua file content in a suitable format. It would probably take one of Rovio’s hot shot coders less than an hour to program and I would pay a dollar for it in a heartbeat. A screenshot of the display would definitively end any question on score legitimacy and it would save @amslimfordy having to do Rovio’s work for them. :)

Remove it, thats fine. But i just tried a level with power ups and that score has a lightening bolt by it, as does any i used any with, which is almost nil. Also, i do not see on the link what information pertains to this. And @poindexter5..i play solely on my phone..this one is a samsung galaxy s5. I go later and enter scores on my laptop. Sometimes if im veiwing a walkthru i post it then. Im not as serious a player that i feel the need to make videos and such. Its just fun and i like to keep track of my scores. I havent played angrybirds in a few years. Ive went thru the others, but since i got a new phone i was starting over.
Im sorry i didnt write down EXACTLY what happened as i just play til i 3 star and post later, then try to hit average score.
I only posted because it seemed off the score was off a bit.

I play this game for fun, and it is exciting to get a high score. But as i said..i am not so serious a player as some. That being said. I will not post scores or comments here anymore. @kreyzcee, it really was nothing personal. I was just stating that in general, we see way too many replies for top scores with no explanation or a screen shot after the fact.

I understand you just play for fun, as do I, but since I joined here I just keep track of what I do and score, just so nobody can question any result I may achieve. That’s all. I would not want you to feel offended for anything I have said, I was just wondering if maybe somebody else would have played the game with your device and achieved the score using a PU, unbeknownst to you. Or maybe it could have just been a fluke with a lot of luck, it happens. I just did not see 10k extra in the remaining debris. I believe I have a pretty good reputation here for being friendly and sharing info, so again, nothing personal.

I saw that 1-7 was 68650 which is much higher than the top score. I did not use power ups. I don’t remember the strategy I used to get it. Is this higher score Galaxy S9 specific? I don’t want to post it before figuring out why it is that much higher.
