Angry Birds Poached Eggs 3 Star Walkthrough Level 1-21

Poached Eggs level 1-21 has a lot of birds! Fling the first blue bird low and bust through the glass to destroy the first pig on the left. Use the red bird to clear a path for the yellow bird. Fire him low and try to take down the middle tower. Use the next blue bird to clear away some of the glass and ideally take out the far right pig. One more yellow bird should be all that it takes to finish of the remaining helmet pig. The score in the video below is 79,340.

Ok, so what is your score? It is not posted. You are right, the high scores are done with three birds. I think I have unlocked the secret for this one, as I have got over 95,000 points 5 different times tonight. What’s really sad is that one of those runs was done with 4 birds. I finished the level with about 69,000 using all the birds trying to destroy as much as possible, so there is probably 120,000 points available if you add the 5 bird leftover bonus, though realistically nobody is likely to get anywhere near that.

I wasn’t going to give my secret, but since someone asked, I thought maybe I should. Hold tight.

First bird – blue bird. ideally, you want to get it to the point where there are no boards remaining in front of the middle house after using the first bird. This is hard to do. My strategy is to not even break the ice fully. Deploy the spread well before he gets half way there. Hope that the stones and the blocks will roll off of the platform to the left, perhaps with help from the birds before they disintegrate. This is about a 1 in 20 or 30 shot to get everything cleared out of there. Sometimes a long ice board from the top middle will fall off to the left, blocking the attack path for the next (red) bird. This is very annoying. If it happens, and it is blocking your path, forget it. Start over. Red and yellow bird suck at ice.

Red bird – aim at the second wood block above the ground. You aren’t going to break it. The point is to weaken it. Having a weak block in front of a fresh block is actually better than completely destroying the block in front, especially when your next bird is the speedy yellow one.

Yellow bird – A really big trick in this game that many do not realize is that the yellow bird cuts through weakened wooden boards like a knife through hot butter. Hitting slightly destroyed material does not only not slow him down, but actually helps to accelerate him through more stuff than he would have been able to otherwise. So, angle him kind of shallow, and deploy him kind of early, so he is cutting right through the board that you primed with the red one before. He should then be able to cut all the way through to the last pig, finishing the level. You probably won’t do much damage to the remaining structure, as it collapses down evenly, maintaining good balance usually.

As you go through this technique a few times, note that the angle in which you are firing your birds does not change drastically. It should be nearly the same angle every time, yellow bird maybe a little less because you will be deploying his speed kind of early.

Good luck!

Also, if you succeeded with the 3-bird solution, don’t try to mop up with the 4th bird. I promise you he will not do better than 10,000 points of damage. There is simply not that much ice left.

You can also use the red bird to push things out of the way, sort of like clearing a path for yellow. After all, the red bird isn’t really of much use against the structure of this level.

Notes for the first bird to achieve good result and expose the main structure.
The Blues:
Shoot the Blues slightly higher than shown in video and split a little earlier so one bird goes above the wooden planks, and two goes beneath them. You need to split them in way that no blue bird directly kills the pig. If the pig survives, the leftovers from the structure will just roll down the slope killing the pig anyway, and leavig for you an exposed main structure with Corporal pig.

– Another lower-the-level feather. Clear as much glass as you can with your first two birds and use the yellow bird to hit the middle pig, lowering the structure.
Then use your remaining birds to clean up whatever fell or lower the third structure. Then place the can near the left side and hope it will bounce up and hit a lot of things.

Bill’s first shot is certainly a tough one. Another way to accomplish clearing all the ice and vertical boards is to aim at the bottom edge of the first tower horizontal boards and activate late. You want to break the bottom glass but not pop the pig. Everything needs to roll over the pig to clear the space. I can’t say this is a lot easier than Bill’s first shot, but I think it is at least a little easier.

@stocktoad that’s how I’ve been playing the 1st shot, aiming at the horizontal boards & splitting about 3/4 of the way there so the middle blue hits the boards & the other 2 go above & below. Things roll over the pig, & sometimes the blues too as they fall to the ground, & off the platform. The rest of the shots as Bill describes, I’ve only managed to clear this with 3 birds once, but improved by 5k. Think I’m calling it a day on this one.

Old level, New strategy.

I normally wouldn’t post something like this unless I had the top highscore but I believe 110K is reachable with this method and would like to put it out there.

Bird 1: Generally as described above by other highscore shooters. Low arc, midway split, and hope all of the boards roll down with the piggy. BUT, although not completely necessary, it is very very convenient when you can get the lowest thick vertical ice block sitting on the main structure to be pulled down by the top thin vertical wood board. This Screenshot shows good result.
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/antsand5597/album/picture/19865/

Bird 2: The second bird is aimed at the horizontal wood board that the thick vertical ice block previously mentioned was sitting on. The red bird should destroy this block and must make direct contact to do so. If the vertical ice block isn’t pulled down in the first shot, this shot can be tricky. The first screenshot shows the contact, and the second shows a great result.
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/antsand5597/album/picture/19866/
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/antsand5597/album/picture/19867/

Bird 3: Aim the yellow bird low at the small wood brick to slice through the wood and (hopefully) kill both pigs. Here is the highscore screenshot.
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/antsand5597/album/picture/19868/

This method generally guarantees 100K or more with 3 birds but is a very difficult method compared to previous ones.
In one situation, My yellow bird did not kill the final pig and I was left with A TON of damaged wood, ice, and one pig left. I shot a 4th bird destroying almost everything and I was left with 62K and barely missed the final pig. Killing the final pig would have yielded a 67K result with four birds remaining and given a 107K score for a new highscore. Be aware that this final blue bird when split correctly could do some serious damage to give great scores. I believe 110K is doable in 3 birds and 108K is doable in 4. Good luck.
