Walkthrough video and strategy for Angry Birds Friends on Facebook Tournament Level #4 Week 2 (this tournament began the week of May, 28th 2012). In terms of getting 3 stars this is probably the most challenging of the tournament. Our strategy was to fling the first blue bird at a medium arch, hopefully hitting with enough force to topple the entire top part of the structure. Now just finish those pesky pigs off with the next boomerang bird. The score in the video is 114,420.
Our Angry Birds Friends Tournament walkthroughs show you how to obtain 3 stars and highscores with and without Power Ups. If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments. Tournament walkthroughs are added weekly as new levels come out, so be sure to check the walkthrough page.

So far.. 118,410. Using the first bird like the video.. but the boomerang bird as a battering ram.
I used the first bird to split just over the halfway point to clear a way thru the first half of the structure. If it fails just right, it will clear the path just over the first ledge. Angle your boomerang bird to arc right over the top of the first ledge, this should have the bird coming down and taking out the entire right side of the structure.
No power ups used.. but I’m sure if you used one for your slingshot, it might give that second bird more juice to take out more debris.
Applied your strategy & scored 118k+. Without power ups. But I think I’m gonna take my 2nd shot with Super seeds.
How do you get the boomerang bird back to reach the diamond and banana under the starting point?
I haven’t been able to get the GB to any angle that would allow him to go under the structure. Remember, after clicking, he doesn’t just change direction, but also angles downward… whereas, in order to get the diamond or fruit under the sling shot, he would have to angle upwards.
Don’t see this happening.. besides I think it’s just a joke from Rovio! Since the fruit/diamond shapes match the birds.
You CAN get the diamond. you need to clear all the glass in front of the sling shot the launch the boomerang bird toward the upper right. When it is above there the structures ended flip it back. Have not gotten the fruit. Don’t think this is going to get a higher score tho as you have to sacrifice all the yellow birds to get to the boomerang. I’ve gotten best scores clearing the structure with the blue bird and one yellow.
122,590 using much the same technique as the video, however I trigger blue bird to split in time to go both over and under the first ledge. This helps clear out some additional glass, adding a few more points to my total.
129 440!
Blue bird: the lower one of the three must pass under plateform destroying the big ice cube. The wood structure on the right as to collapse.
Green brid: SuperSeeds (+ aiming tool, why not)You shouldn’t not use the boomerang effet. Just aim your big bird to smash in the pile.
Finally guys, thank you for the tips on this site I used since the last 3 weeks. When I found this site, I felt so happy to see that I was not the only Angry Birds freak out here!
Glad to help you finally!
(Sorry for my english, I’m from Quebec, it’s 4:50 am :P )
Thanks for the well-explained strategy M-Victor! And by the way, your English is pretty good! ;)
Thanks! It worked. I’ve noticed that when there’s a weak piece of glass or wood that the boomerang bird gets an extra boost when hitting that first. There was some weakened glass left on the first ledge after using the blue birds. I hit that little bit of glass with the Super Seeded boomerang bird, which accelerated its speed and sent it crashing through the leftover stuff toward the bottom right. I got that score on my second try using the Super Seeds. Couldn’t get past 125K without power-ups.
M-Victor, great strategy. If you’re able to get the point across, then you english is fine, and you did, so… yes. Thank you.
@mobus1603 @dollarbill2208 If your observation about birds getting more power after they hit a weak piece of debris, Rovio will once again have disappointed me. I started playing because I thought AB obeyed the laws of physics (even if they lived on a different planet). The thought that conservation of energy is not obeyed is distressing. Maybe they have hidden explosives in some of the structural pieces???
@mvnla2 yes. take ABO level 1-21 for instance. It’s the only possible way to clear the level with 3 birds, otherwise yellow bird just doesn’t plow all the way through. that’s the best example i know.
I wish I could play this level again! :/
Your wish has come true. It’s in the current tournament again.
@salahmad :))
Thanks mate your method yielded me122k
126.000 without powerups
@mobus1603 Great observation. It’s the case with all birds. When they hit a weak piece of debris before hand, they cut through everything faster than if you had completely destroyed it. Having the realization of this bird phenomenon will come into play on many other levels, especially in the original and facebook levels. This is an advanced technique that we could stand to give some lessons on in the classroom.
After all this time of playing the game, I have not noticed any increase in speed when any bird comes in contact with damaged structure pieces. They do go thru them with less resistance, then if they were still solid, but haven’t seen any actual increase in speed or impact.
Of course.. this wouldn’t surprise me either.. AB has had no real physics qualities to it until the release of Space. Take the Birdday update for example.. that one irritated me to no end, because it was the first time in recorded history where a cake could survive falls, or even concrete blocks landing on them. On most of those levels, if you didn’t actually hit the cake with a bird, you didn’t get pts from them.
But.. then again, that’s what makes this game stand out.. strategy, timing.. and truck loads of luck!
A burst of speed may not be exactly what is happening, but there is definitely something happening, which allows the bird to go faster, further, and longer.
123,840 with only the blue bird and an earthshake power up
122.250 without any powerups.. just use the boomerang bird as a normal bird…
126,920 without powerups.
