In typical fashion Rovio sent out a tantalizing Tweet regarding new levels coming soon to Angry Birds Facebook. If this tweet was only regarding new levels we probably wouldn’t post, but alas it’s not. What makes this different is the, “Angry Birds Friends” logo on the bottom right hand side of the image above. Is this just the name of the level or some type of new game mode? Take our poll below and let us know what you think!

I thought that when I saw it on twitter – an arena or stadium perhaps as the setting for the next levels then. :)
Interesting — Notice that, especially in the foreground, there are birds and pigs sitting together. Are they friends?
i only see the head of the king pig. maybe a new enemy has come up and their joining forces and the arena is a peace treaty place
I always thought it would make a cool game of Angry Birds & Hungry Pigs vs. Scary Bats, where the levels are underground. You can play each level twice, once as a Bird trying to pop moving, flying targets and once as Pigs, trying to build structures to withstand the bat attacks
It is Flock VS Flock (I think.) Maybe you build a pig castle with limited pigs and blocks and choose a limited number of birds and their order!
Wau, that would be awesome! First when i saw this picture on Facebook, the first thought in my mind was that this is gonna be part of the Lotus stuff and all the birds were in out front, but then i noticed that new logo, well whatever it is, it’s gonna be great.

At first I thought maybe it was teamwork levels. Now I’m thinking you are maybe closer. It could very possibly be two friends competing at something AB related with the birds and pigs watching.

I think it might be something like “words with friends”, “hanging with friends”, r “scrabble with friends”.

That is an interesting concept in relation to these other games and has one of the basic foundations of using our logic and intelligence to solve the AB games.
It might possibly even be a brand new game… All new AB games have logos.

Some of those birds have hats and such on them, could the game be a reference to G+ and the avatar option in ABF? You could make your own bird and use it too?

Hah! My guess for Multi-player as well. I haven’t known or read anything prior to this post, so very fascinating. Nice to know I think like everyone else. Anyone know whether it will be a co-op or vs?
Cant wait for this feature. co-op or vs. both will be alot of fun. And I Wish they bring few more classic levels to facebook. or maybe something from other AB versions.

WAIT! It is an ARENA! It may be that you have a team made up with pigs and birds, You pick a limited order of birds and build your own castle with limited blocks and limited pigs! You have to destroy the other rival’s pigs to WIN! (Or maybe there could be a castle with birds for one team and also the other team can throw PIGGIES!
its a new challenging system by rovio. where you can share your scores with your friends

At this point, we can only speculate. Rovio has not released enough information to confirm that “AB Friends” is a new feature or a revamped/improved “Share & Play” function.
We can confirm on the other hand that new levels are on the way.
