Angry Birds Birdday Party Cake 3 Level 13 (19-13) Walkthrough

Our strategy for Angry Birds Birdday Party (Birthday Party) level 19-13 is to loft a Yellow bird nearly straight up, speeding through the two hanging pigs and into the base of the rightmost tower. Loft the Pink bird, landing her between the two peaks of the left structure. Trigger the bubbles about half way down the structures, clearing the level. If needed, you have some room to spare with the 3-star score. The score in the video below is 100,890.

There’s a 125k score hiding somewhere in this level, to be found by a persistent flinger. My best so far is only 114k, but on another attempt I missed one of the hanging pigs but threw the second bird anyway, and the destruction was so good that I scored 114k (just a few hundred lower than my best) despite having to waste the third bird to pop the pig and do no other damage whatsoever.

For that matter, even if you’re already in position for a good 110k+ score, it’s sometimes possible to throw a third bird for over 10k of debris points. The chutes probably need to be unobstructed, and the debris can’t be too widely dispersed.

One more thing: on the first bird, I seemed to get the best results by sending it as close to the tip of the rock outcropping as possible. If you get your aim just right, the bird will pop the higher hanging pig, and the falling structure will pop the lower one. In my experience, this aim gave me the best odds of opening up both chutes, which is critical to a good score. But you still have to get the second bird right, which is easier said than done – the activation point is extremely sensitive.

I think so too. When the YB shot through the two pigs and into the rightmost structure, falling debris destroyed the next two supports destroying everything down and taking the cake. However, the left structure was also hit by the debris and started to sway but stopped after some time. I think a one birder 127K will be obtained if the swaying causes the left to fall with significant destruction.

I have been using the same strategy here.
The first bird is aimed high, triggered so that it killed the left hanging pig, and destroy the wood base of the rightmost structure.
Doing right you can score up to 52k with this shot.
Like this: http://angrybir.de/16pYjNN

The idea is to clean as much debris as possible on the right side of the right tower so that when it will fall with the second shot, it won’t get stuck and be only half destroyed.

The second bird is like in the walkthrough. Trigger low enough to get the horizontal wood plank and hope for the best.

Here is the result for my highscore: http://angrybir.de/14Yklu7

There is still quite a lot of debris here, so I guess this is only a temporary highscore.

Anyway, here it is: http://angrybir.de/14YkEVS

Hope it helps.

I had 1 of the front structures collapse on its own one time and found it to be counter-productive. It lowered the total destruction I could get dropping pink between the 2 towers and, with a good lift, destroying the towers and everything around the base.

I used the video since there isn’t much else to do with this layout.

I used a slightly different trajectory for the first shot

Send YB in a flat arch and accelerate him shortly after you release him so that he cuts through both hanging pigs and his body will land on the wooden support. He will dislodge the wooden supports holding up right most structure, causing it to topple leftward. Falling debris can get the cake.
44K+ scores after first bird. Her’s a screenshot:

http://angrybir.de/QWdaeV

Second shot is a high, tight shot, like the walktrhough, to land deep in between the two structures. The bubbles should activate near the bottom row of cement squares, lifting both sides and causing them to tumble over in each direction.

Thank you @lesleyg for the great alternate strategy. Worked great as soon as I figured out which angle to bounce the Yellow Bird off of to get hit the lower wood structure. Kept hitting the rock angle to the right of the lower hanging pig and needed to hit the angle to the right of the uppper hanging pig…dah. Well it worked great in the end after seeing the “light”. Thanks for the teamwork of posting. You definitely have a great “eye” and we are all better players as a result.

used essentially that method to get 124,140 currently.
bird 1) aimed for the ceiling above the top-left pig, so as to take out both hanging pigs and
the wooden support of the rightmost structure; it’s even ok for that support to be only
damaged (it can still be taken out by a good 2nd shot). on the other hand, it is critical
that the middle structure is heavily damaged (to make the right tower of the leftmost
structure fall through it by the 2nd bird).
bird 2) try to activate the bubbles when the bird is adjacent to/slightly below the leftmost
stone block of the right tower of the leftmost structure. the goal is to lift the horizontal wood
below the two towers, making the left tower fall to the left and the right tower fall to the right
(in its fall, this may take out the rightmost structure), so the bird should be activated low enough
to grab that wood. on the other hand, it should be high enough so as to grab enough material
that the towers will be lifted at all. lifting is a bit easier if both towers have shifted a bit into
these directions already/do not rest on the wood.

if the above leaves a lot of debris, try to fling the 3rd bird into the middle of it.
already that gave me 121k, so i guess scores in the range 125k-130k should be possible.

This is what we know so far:
1/5 to 1/10 right tower will fall, hits 2 pigs, 13-16k. This sounds like what PlayDBird “saw” — My guess is he didn’t see top left of right tower fall — It hits hanging pig and pops one underneath. Rocking starts immediately after reset, but may take 30 – 60 sec or more to fall. This seems to be the most common mode.
All 3 towers rock, on different resets and tilt left and/or right; sometimes 2 or 3 on same reset.
ihatepork saw left 2 towers fall. Do you know how many points, or how long it took?
Second tower from left may fall right for ~14K pts
Sometimes get 40 pts immediately on reset.

Sorry, @mvnla2, I can’t remember many details, and haven’t been able to replicate. It was the VERY FIRST time I’d opened the level, so I was taking some time surveying the scene. Noticed both towers swaying and wiggling away from each other. Can’t remember which went first, but left just fell and helmet smashed. Right fell onto cake and MAYBE also knocked the piggie on the ramp, can’t remember for sure. Not a clue what the points were. It did take a long time, though — and patience is not my virtue, so that might be why I haven’t been able to replicate! :-)

Yeah! Having been so surprised by self-destruction the first time I opened a level, I’ve failed to notice any details also. Then of course, it turn out to be fairly rare. In this case I think the right tower falls fairly frequently, if you’re patient, but I suspect the mode you saw is much more rare.

Not too difficult! YB just off the vertical, let it climb and when it has almost stopped, accelerate it into the hanging pigs. A few tries should get you proficient at this and it will be worth it as it takes out both hanging pigs and all of the right hand structure for a score of anywhere between 35-45k. The next bird is quirky; sometimes it will and sometimes it won’t! Anyway the trajectory is similar to the YB but just a little to the left to drop it down between the two towers. Activate just before it hits the bottom and hope for a good collapse. The towers will often wobble and close together to stop this shot. Be patient. I’ve had the second right wooden tower self destruct which doesn’t seem to improve scores.

I also have noticed where the level wants to self-destruct but haven’t seen it happen yet.

Asher, I just checked. I did make mistakes when I first entered my scores (I didn’t realize that some of the sections were missing). But my score on this one is 90730 which is only slightly above the 88,000 3 star level and well below the 103,931 average score. Am I misunderstanding something?

I did, however, enter that whole section incorrectly (thinking it was the 1st section) at first and had to go back and re-enter all of the scores.

Thanks for the accountability – I’m with you…I hate when folks report suspiciously high scores. :-)

I did see that many of the changes I made earlier did not remain. I went back through and fixed them again…This is only my 3rd day on this site, so I am still learning my way around. Perhaps I didn’t take enough steps to ensure that they were saved. Hopefully, they stuck this time. I really wasn’t trying to “mess around” – It was an honest mistake. I have to say that this particular section is not easy to follow. I would imagine that I am not the first to make this mistake. I still want to review all of my scores to make sure there aren’t other errors. That may take a few more days.
