I’ve merely whizzed through these levels @mvnla2 and I couldnt find any either, very disappointing as egg hunting and playing the g.egg levels is something I look forward to. :(

I too as per the ABNest video, thanks. The orange bird activation and its path of travel determines the score one receives. This level needs some luck but is still fun to play.

Finally broke 170K and I’m calling it quits. One suggestion for the first shot. Picking up the big stone without compromising the glasses frame is pretty tricky and you only give up 1500 points by going for the cake alone. Just slightly overshoot and take out the cake on the rebound from the wall. Pretty easy to hit nearly every time.

No strategy here, but at least I can describe what happens with a really high score. @knichy, for the first shot I still prefer the bounce. It’s 90+% for me. The roll can get you a few more points, but the boulder almost always breaks the little stud holding the frame in place so it can prematurely roll left before Orange is done with his damage.

On the second shot, Orange typically does one of three things. If he’s too low, he teleports completely out of the picture for a really low score. Sometimes, he stays at the very bottom. Other times, he pops up higher. Very rarely (twice for me in several hours) he teleports to the right. This pretty much vaporizes the right frame. For my 178K he zipped back to the left taking out lots of the left frame as well.

The really high scores here are a matter of good luck, but I think there are ways to increase your chances of getting lucky, and I think I found one way to do it.

The first shot is as described by @grrtammy. Just grab your 3100 points there and run.

My theory behind the second shot is that activating expando-bird at the lowest possible level increases the chance that it will still be in between the “lenses” after it pops up, and that increases the chance that it will zoom through the lenses as it deflates.

So, I started aiming for the lowest point between the lenses, which is the right side of the pit. It is possible to fine tune the trajectory to get Stella to fly through the bridge and straight for that corner. However, one has to act quickly, as Stella must be activated before she hits the bottom. Otherwise, she explodes instead of expanding and deflating.

I had a high score around 155K, which wasn’t very good at all, but I was stuck. Soon after I hit on this method I got 158K. Still not very good, but I have noticed that my average score has increased, and expando-bird pops up above the lenses less often. I’m still going for a much higher score, and this strat looks promising. I hope it helps some other folks here.

Update: 175990/2. Got several more high scores, including a 3-birder for 167K, before I got this one. It looked like Mt. St. Helens blowing out…a big lateral blast to the right that took out nearly all of the right side. Still plenty of stuff on the left side though…there is more in this.

@jrsquonk said that there was more in it and with an extreme version of what he describes where OB did a destructive return to the left side, this is what is possible, given patience.

Same here, as @jrsquonk said, down to the right side of the pit .. OB went crazy, destroyed both sides. The level ended with 187000.
Sorry that I cannot provide screenshots here but I am not able to upload any pictures to my album. The error message is:

I have no idea what I can do, the images I tried to upload are all small JPG or PNG files with a size of 100 – 400 kB.

@anton249 Have a look in your album. The image is probably there, despite the message. I have been experiencing this issue for months and it’s always been OK.

BTW @anton249, great score. But tell me, I am interested, did you play this in response to my high score posted earlier in the day? There’s been mainly tumbleweed here for the best part of a decade and then two of us come along on the same day and absolutely obliterate the old high score. I had the trophy for 13 hours, it was fun while it lasted!

Oh, now I see that I have stolen the trophy from you (sorry!). To be honest, I was not aware of it, I only read your post and jrsquonk’s without giving much attention to the scores. Congrats to your great score too!
Looking at the newest comments is the first thing I usually do when I visit this site (besides the Challenge), to get ideas which level to play. So that’s how I got here, no pure coincidence.
Thanks for the tip to look into my album, yes the images are all there.
