Glitch for duplicated items

Seems like a weird dupe glitch. Report it to Rovio.

I get duplicates of all my items, including set items ALL THE TIME. I have been waiting for my final 2 set items for months.

I’m finding this glitch to be quite annoying because I have to spend hours recycling items. Recycling non-set items goes fast enough because I can repeatedly hit the recycle button, but it makes you confirm for every set item and I usually have to click OK twice before the set item is recycled. I spent 2 hours this morning recycling items and went from 81 essence to 689 essence. Those items were all 1 essence set items that Chuck had so I’ll have to spend another 8 hours recycling items for my other 4 birds and probably 6 hours recycling arena items. I’d leave all the items alone, but my inventory has grown so big it takes over 2 minutes to open so every time I want to change a bird’s equipment it takes 5 minutes. I have the same problem switching arena equipment too.

@lisafaulkner Golden Pigge is not getting duplicates through the GPM. In my case I think the game just syncs incorrectly and accidentally duplicates all the offhand items in my inventory and does the same for all my arena items. It doesn’t duplicate my weapons. This glitch happened to me 6 times now so it multiplied items in my inventory up to 32 times. I have 5000+ set items because of this glitch.

@killerkea Wow, dude, that’s intense. I’ve always recycled my junk items as soon as I’ve acquired them… so I have, like, 2 or 3 handed/off-handed weapons for each bird (all epic items) and perhaps 7 banner items (arena: 3 top, 4 bottom; all 3 x stars or free GPM or random diamond/platinum) and about 6 emblems (diamond/platinum)! That’s it! No problems with loading times for me! Lulz.

I learned that the maximum number of duplicate items you can have is 48 because there were exactly 48 of many items I recycled both set and non-set. I also learned that only items from the GPM and GAPM can be duplicated which means wheel spin and crafted items are not duplicated. Recycling arena items isn’t bad because it only asks you to confirm on your best item. It considers the item that gives you the most health your best item and that usually isn’t a set item. I’m almost done recycling items and I now have 2975 essence so I had around 3500 set items.
