  • Angry Birds Golden Eggs Walkthrough | All 35 Eggs @axon I found egg 36 when I checked the winner for yesterday's Mighty League. It was just hovering there over his accomplishments in the Master League. Weird presentation, but I will take it. It does indeed start a third page of eggs, and is a decent little level. Thanks, sutekh137
  • Angry Birds Classic v6.1.0 Update Adds Mighty League – First Look Video @raizir I lasted about two seconds in the Master League. *smile* Very hard. I used earthquake and a Shockwave (level 8 or so) and didn't even get close on any of the three levels to try. So, I got dropped back to Gold. Then, after I had gotten a few more stickers and was working on the ones involving using 50 tickets and failing a lot (I'm good at that), the game asked for my birthday and asked if I wanted to save progress from my device to the cloud save. Naturally, I said yes. That nuked a bunch of my stickers, but oddly not the Master League sticker (and I was still in Gold League, meaning it hadn't reset me to a week ago when I had dropped all the way to Silver). Needless to say, I'm done with the League in the original AB, which pretty much means I am done with the original AB, I assume (I doubt they will do anything other than "enhance" League play to fleece people for more money and ads...). Thanks, sutekh137
  • Angry Birds Classic v6.1.0 Update Adds Mighty League – First Look Video Don't know, it won't start until this evening. *smile* I'll try to remember to play it (I might forget over the weekend) and report back here. I don't really care about the Master league because: a) I am not that good at Angry Birds. b) I don't want to waste power-ups. c) I don't spend any real cash on the game (like I bet some successful Master-Leaguers do). d) Stickers I have left to attain involve simply spending tickets and actually failing to get the star. I can do that in any league. *smile* Like I said, though, I will try to remember to take a look this evening! Thanks, sutekh137
  • Angry Birds Classic v6.1.0 Update Adds Mighty League – First Look Video @benny123 Yes, I have noticed that Gold league is easier -- I actually made it to the Master League for the first time! Had to use many Quakes and the few Shockwaves I had left, but I made it. Also got a lot of stickers, and should be able to get most of the remaining ones (except winning the Master League -- I'll never do that). Did you notice the TNT wall? What a blatant cash ripoff... Buying the ability to stay in a League even if you can't get the stars you need (or just don't have time to play). Pretty lame... Thanks, sutekh137
  • Angry Birds Classic v6.1.0 Update Adds Mighty League – First Look Video @welshwitch55 Agreed. Though, if tickets are your only issue, log in every three hours or so and watch two movies -- two more tickets. I am not sure it is three hours, but it seems to be something around there. This can get you 8-10 more tickets a day. But like you say -- Gold League is impossible, so tickets are not the issue. I used shocks and power-ups that easily blew away the league before, and then Gold League seems pretty much impossible. Stay classy, Rovio! Thanks, sutekh137
  • Angry Birds Classic v6.1.0 Update Adds Mighty League – First Look Video I must just suck... I reached Gold League and I can't get a star in anything. Burned the rest of me shock bombs, tried earthquakes and powered-up slingshots -- didn't even get close. I have yet to star a Gold League level (much less 6 in 2 days). Is it hard, or am I just doing something wrong? I'm not buying any power-ups. Incidentally, the other leagues were all relatively simple, especially if I used power-ups. Then Gold League is a hard stop. Smells like a money grab (once again) to me. Thanks, sutekh137
  • Angry Birds Classic v6.1.0 Update Adds Mighty League – First Look Video @cams You should be able to disconnect from Facebook itself. Go to Settings and Apps and you should see AB there. You can delete the linkage from there, too (if that is what you are referring to...). Thanks, sutekh137
  • Angry Birds GO! v2.0 Update Out Worldwide – New First Look Video @partshade I definitely see your point about Go! becoming dull. I was just going through the motions. But, to me, then the right thing to do is make a NEW game. Don't just reset the version 1.0 product -- make a brand new 2.0 product. That's what they did with Star Wars and the original game, after all: they made SW2 and AB2. And those games actually had new content whereas Go! 2.0 has all the same old tracks. It's like Rovio wanted to drum up a lot of interest in a new game but didn't want to go to the full work of making a brand new creation. That's what I find exceedingly lame. Thanks, sutekh137
  • Angry Birds GO! v2.0 Update Out Worldwide – New First Look Video @partshade Definite respect for you and your opinion, no doubt. I don't even have a reason to be angry, really, since it is a free game and I never spent any real currency. But what about the people who did? I guarantee the so-called reimbursement folks got didn't cover the resources that a big spender would have put in. How do I know this? Because I had a ton of maxxed out Karts before, and now I have none. That was with spending half my crystals on toolboxes before I uninstalled the game. And you said it with "sparingly". Coins are only good for buying whatever resource is available in the daily deals. That's why I said getting coins is somewhat worthless because the whole kart-building endeavor has been turned on its head. My biggest worry is what sort of precedent this sets for Rovio games. As I mentioned before, is Epic next? Imagine someone who spent hundreds of dollars every time mastery increased having their entire team reset to nothing and resources converted to a less effective means of upgrading? That's flat-out robbery. Have any other freemium games from other publishers done this? Clash of Clans resetting all progress? Jetpack Joyride saying, "Look at what we just did! Gave you the chance to re-earn all those medals! Who-oo!" Game of War resetting everything even if you spent real cash on it? Perhaps the most galling thing is the whole "We listened to your feedback, and..." Bull roar. Not one single person sent in feedback saying, "Hey Rovio, can you reset everything and change the whole game into a completely new one while not letting us ever access the old game again? Oh, and while you're at it, convert everything I earned (either via tons of time or real cash) into resources that are far less effective at getting me back to where I was? Be sure not to change any tracks while you are at it, because I LOVE having to slog through the same old crap over and over again! kthnxbye!" Nope, not a single person asked for that, I can assure you. What people probably asked most for were new characters and new tracks. Are there any new characters or tracks in the game? I didn't see any and I was almost through the fourth (of eleven) stages. Imagine if just 100,000 people spent $5 on this game (it has an estimated 50,000,000+ installs, so that seems like a conservative estimate). That's half a million dollars. Now that money is effectively reset to zero. I'd advise every person who spent real money to print out their transaction log for what was spent and get together and see if anyone in the house is an attorney. Might this not have potential as a class action lawsuit? Thanks, sutekh137
  • Angry Birds GO! v2.0 Update Out Worldwide – New First Look Video @partshade I respect your opinion in all things AB, but I gotta disagree with you here. How far do I have to progress to see something new? I played 3/11 levels (five stages each) and there wasn't a single thing new or unique about it. I burned through a TON of play bolts, watching every ad possible until it said there were no more. And I ended up dead-ended against the final race on level 3 to acquire blow-up bird (no, I don't know all their names, sorry). No way I'd ever beat that, and no way to upgrade my cart by any straightforward means. Daily races were junk, same thing every time, same stuff: obstacles, fruit splats, same tracks. I even got to the point where the rewards were simply gold coins, which are worthless without accompanying resources. What is it I need to "get into" in order to see the potential? That's not even getting into the fact that Rovio basically took a completed game, reset it, and called it an upgrade. Is any other company doing this? If so, can you tell me the name of the games so I can avoid them like the plague? I'm not sure, but do you play Epic? If so, how would you feel if one day your progress in Epic were entirely reset -- everything, including acquired gear and classes -- and they just had you starting all the levels over under a new format/graphics? And then you found out all the levels were the same (you just had to slog through all of them again). Would you? Thanks, sutekh137
