Angry Birds Transformers: Red Bird as Optimus Prime Doing the Robot

The Rovio marketing machine behind Angry Birds Transformers is beginning to shift into full gear (pun intended). On the heels of the awesome retro Angry Birds Transformers trailer comes this short teaser video featuring Red Bird as Optimus Prime. Towards the end of this video Optimus breaks out in dance, doing — wait for it — yep, the ROBOT.

Now, as one who just saw Guardians of the Galaxy I can’t help but think of Groot’s dance number (this links to the video, but if you haven’t seen the movie I wouldn’t watch it). I think we’re in need of a robot vs. plant dance off?!

Who’s with me?

Per YouTube:

He’s brave, powerful, wise and just all-round awesome!

A selfless leader, Optimus will do whatever it takes to protect the Autobirds –- even if it means putting himself in the firing line. Not only that, but he can really bust a move! I mean, look at this guy! He’s only had legs for like five minutes and he’s doing the robot like a boss! Granted, he IS a robot… and the boss… but still!

Help the Autobirds and Deceptihogs save Piggy Island in a brand new 3D shoot ‘em up adventure, coming to iOS October 15!

The teasers are so deliberately vague, I just can’t picture what this game will actually be like. Which makes me keep checking back to find out! Nicely done, Rovio.

I would be very surprised if Rovio did not release it for Android.

Teaser video looks great. Anticipate the actual game play will be a bit like GO with slinging a bird at the end…just a guess…may be vise versa or none of the above. But would bet there will be some type of racing component.

Given the recent releases, the end product should be great.

Preordered two sets of Transformer Telepods from Toy R Us: Racers for 19.99 and Prime for 29.99. Not cheap but they are going for much more on Ebay. TRU says they will ship around the 15th.

Also read some where (maybe ABN) there will be 5 telepods packs for 5.99 and one pack for 9.99.

I agree with you @wrw01 I think the game will be similar to Go! So whoever is playing and loving Go will love this one, not sure I will even though I’m surely giving it a try the first day it launches.
