Of the many successes Rovio has had in creating Angry Birds as a worldwide entertainment brand, one of the most surprising is the popularity of Angry Birds soft drinks.
Back in November, 2012, Peter Vesterbacka, Rovio’s CMO annouced at the Slush conference that in Finland, Angry Birds soft drinks were outselling longtime giants Coca Cola and Pepsi.
Partnering with Olvi to produce these soft drinks and juices, they are now available in over 20 countries around the world. Recently the soft drinks have undergone a makeover, sporting a whole new look to the cans. There is even a section on angrybirds.com dedicated to them.
