Why is it that almost every player I face in the arena has mana shell? How do you get it?

I finally beat the 3 Ice Shamam, I used the Black Bird Cap’t, kept filling up my rage meter with veggie cakes, used the Black Birds rage ability

I’m getting the same thing, but on cure cavern 8. they must have changed it in the recent update. I face 3 Ice Shamam with around 2500 each for health, Every time I attack them the other shamam heals them complete
