    It appears this glitch has been fixed with the latest update.

    I lost most of my pearls and gems after updating my two devices.  I updated my phone last and was left with almost  no gems and pearls–the amount that was on my phone.

    Rovio has restored most of the gems and pearls and here is their response to my ticket:

    “We understand how frustrating it is to lose things from the game. We have now restored your lost pearls and gems, please note this happened because of the new syncing system and it shouldn’t happen again.

    As you may know, we have been working hard on handling the cheaters in Angry Birds 2. We’ve received many reports and messages from our players about an exploit that allowed players to cheat with multiple devices.

    We also received suggestions from many players asking us to add a way to sync black pearls and gems between different devices.

    We heard you and we are taking action! With this new update, you will be able to sync your progress completely with other devices, which means that the number of pearls and gems you have, as well as the hats you own, will always be the same across whichever devices you play the game on.

    With this, not only have we blocked a known exploit some players were using to cheat, but we’ve brought you a better experience by making it easy to keep everything you own, no matter how many devices you play on.

    This means of course that if you spend some gems or pearls in one of your devices they will get withdrawn from both devices, but the things you purchased or earned will all sync!”

    Boot camp should reappear in a few days.  I reinstalled the app on Tue and ME Boot Camp came back today (Thur).  Other people had the same issue on the Angry Birds 2 Gamers Facebook page.
