Look for Makin Bacon’s post about the ABF closed Facebook group. Once you get a critical mass of Facebook friends from that group, you’ll be receiving hundreds of gifts each day in your ABF mailbox and there is a batch redemption process that can help you make the most of the gifts you accumulate. There are members of the group with thousands of each powerup and, in some cases, over a million bird coins – all without paying any money to Rovio.

The green arrows/boomerangs indicate players who will automatically advance to the next level (the next league if you’re Gold or below; the next star level if you’ve made it to Diamond league) when the tournament ends. The top 1 or 2 players on your Diamond league leaderboard will have the green arrows. There are similar red arrows you’ll see at the bottom of the leaderboard. Red arrow players are candidates to be demoted a league or star level when the weekly tournament ends.

Purist here as well and would love to see a No PowerUp league, but worry that will not happen if Rovio is trying to offset declining revenues. Since the tournament’s inception, I’ve been playing with the regular sling and no power ups first with the objective of exceeding Red and Chuck’s scores by 100k (none of my FB friends play regularly). Once I do that, I take a screenshot and then go to work on advancing in my league group using the various slings and power ups. Maybe we can get a number of others to do the same and start posting our no power up scores here?

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas holiday! My gold league group from this week is now down to just 5 players showing on the overall score panel so that means about 30 players have disappeared from that view. I can’t imagine that all of them were cheating, so very curious about where they’ve all gone.
