Icebreaker Under Dwell Level 8A Going in Circles

One strategy for Under Dwell Level 8A, Going in Circles, is to navigate Viking to the middle cannon. To do so, send Viking to the top right cannon and slice a long block from the ice above. Viking should easily slide to the middle cannon. Then cut the ropes holding the hanging cannon to the right. Then simply shoot Viking through the coins into the boat.

@lostgreybird Pair cutting of the hanging cannon’s ropes with other slices. For example, cut the right rope with one of the cannons in the circle, and the left rope with the giant icicle.

i cant pair but with the icicle because the the angle doesnt work, & you can’t pair cut when aiming the cannons.

I ended up getting it though. I cut the icicle short with a (/) angle and made sure its top was level with the bottom horizontal cannon that shoots to the right. If your angle is good and the height is good you can shoot the viking in to it and it gets deflected up and over the next cannon landing him safely in the boat.

@Lostgreybird A lot of the videos, including this one have a second run showing how to get par. I’ve found them very useful.

My problem is that the trajectory sending the Viking TO the swinging canon never matches up. I’ve tried launching from what seems like every possible millimeter but the arc is never high enough to put him in that last cannon. He gets impaled by a spike on the wall. I’m within the number of cuts for a Par but can’t ever finish if he won’t reach that cannon. I’ll keep trying but it’s not looking good. This is the second level in this game – another doesn’t allow the whole ice block to be viewed when zoomed out and Par requires us to slice the WHOLE height – except I can’t because it won’t allow me to continue the cut out of frame.
