One strategy for Ham ’em High level 13-9 is to fire the Yellow bird straight ahead, through the criss-crossed wooden planks and breaking one wooden block in the main structure. Use a White bird and Red bird to detonate the TNT on the left side, bringing the whole structure down. A second TNT detonation will yield nice bonus points. The score in the video below is 79,680.
Version 2022:
I did almost exactly what you did, cleared with the same number of birds, and got 75220. It only gave me 2 stars. WTH?
Exactly the same with me but I figured that out without even looking at this video. But I got 75290 -__-
Next try, I flung the yellow bird like you, then did the white and managed to clear it. Score: 77150
Got 85830 with 2 birds. The bomb bird set off both TNT boxes and got everything in one shot.
90350 :)
2 birds
Did just as on film (but the first bird should get over 6,000) – top score is 90,440.
Help with mighty eagle on this one, mine seems to be stuck on 99%!
88590 with only the yellow bird. If you’re lucky enough, breaks the glass block and hits the TNT, and then the structure falls down killing all the pigs
I’ve been able to get yellow bird all the way through to detonate the tnt several times, but the tnt on the right does not get set off. Most of the times the pigs on the right side would get popped but there isn’t enough debris damage or the right half wouldn’t collapse at all so I’d have to use white bird anyways. Did not score better than the two-bird method when both tnt boxes are set off from the white bird.
Left one TNT box on right. Hammer yellow thru to first TNT box. This took several gazillion attempts to get it to work. 88770
This LEVEL IS A PAIN IN THE BUTT I tried this method many times and i failed. I give up
I too lucked out with a 2 bird kill.. Scored 90,280…
92910, using only one bird… Pull back and DOWN the yellow bird to where it goes back up slightly on the sling shot. Let go, Your arch should go straight up, but only the real short arch. Hit the zoom at the top of the low shooting arc. you will clip the top part of the criss-cross first structure but then break the ice and set off both tnt’s. I tried no less than 1000 other ways and times and finally got this to work.
Interesting method. Got 85,640 on my 3rd try with it. 1 bird.
This method is probably one of the few methods where the slingshot strength is the main factor. Interesting and repeatable strategy. Thanks!
Thank you very much for sharing this strategy Ryan. It works for me :)
Hit the glass block with the Yellow Bird many times and could not activate the tnt or just activated the left side tnt.
Modified Ryan’s strategy to where the Yellow Bird hits the end tip of the horizontal wood plank above the glass block, breaks it and then hits the glass block. Each time both tnts activated and produced scores in the 90k range. Gained 15k in points.
89020 on first try with your method! Thanks. Now for a few more tries to push up the score…
Wow this is a tough level..I got 78 k with 2 birds following video…tried ryans way but cant get angle right…ohhh angrybirdgods please help….
Slowly I creep step by step….arghh…120 pts. Below average…here it comes ..block ears..WHINEiiiinnnninnneeeeeeeeeeeee
I agree! @ryan‘s strategy worked for me! Thanks!
Thank you Ryan! I have never used that very short lob before so it took me a few tries to get the hang of it, but it didn’t take long to get my scores into the 90s once I was proficient with the technique. Can’t wait to try this on other episodes :)
Took me a while to understand your description, but based on other comments I understood it needed a short arch. This is the way to go once you figure it out. Had around 90k before, improved to 92k to 94k to 99k. Can easily get 92 to 94 regularly, so this is very repeatable.
Yes this method is very repeatable once you get the low arch release figured out. It really needs to be repeatable because there’s a wide ranch of scores with the completion of a one bird kill. I’ve gotten as low as low 70 K to my high of almost 98 K. I must have one birded this at least 50 times. I figured the average score is mid 80s so be prepared to repeat for those 90s scores. I have 2 tips to share that may help you get that low arch release.
Make sure the arch is low enough. Ryan describes it well above. The top of the arch should be below the control buttons at the top left corner. I like to zoom out about halfway to better view the angles.
Use the top of the crisscross block structure as a site for your release angle. Ryan mentions just clipping the top.. I agree, just clip that little gun site like nub sticking up. The angle will take you the sweet spot at the glass block.
You’ re hoping for a nice slow crumbling collapse to rack up a lot of extra points. Good Luck here, this is a good level to gain some points.
Thanks Ryan. I had been languishing in the high 70’s, even with your great description. But when I read everyone else saying how useful your alternate strategy was I went back and CAREFULLY re-read your instructions. And there it was! I had misread all along (one of my better qualities)! I just broke 91K on my first attempt! Much appreciated, pal!
1 bird broke the glass and got all the pigs 79905
Just done it like scott said and got 91.640… :D
I’ve tried everything on this level and can’t get more that 72000. Running the PC version and my birds just don’t seem to have the penetration power to do any significant damage. I tried the method everyone else has had success with and can’t get the yellow bird to do more than bounce off the glass. Where can I get a power boost for my birds?
Clicking will trigger a speed boost…
I know that. My birds just don’t seem to have very much power compared to what I see in the samples. I’ve tried this level at least 100 times using a variety of approaches with the same dissatisfactory result.
How about that. Complain about the level and the very next attempt worked…finally.
Just got 84,680 with one bird :)
How did you do that? I barely got 3 stars.
i get 79.780 with just two birds
A bit similar as @Ryan. Thanks for the good direction.
Aim it high arc to the point it starts to loose strength.
As soon as it starts to fall accelerated it trough the lowest balcony of the main building (instead of the crisscross on Ryan’s strat).
Once it breaks trough it will more often detonated the TNT resulting in collapsing the building in 1 bird since the structure is damaged.
Just an observation. On the iPhone version it is quite easy to break the glass structure support on the bottom making it more likely to score high. Not so on the iPad HD version.
After a few tries I was able to do a 1-Birder with both TNT’s detonating, but the scores are very disappointing for such a maneuver, only 77980 including the 3 bonus birds. I’ll keep trying, but if anyone else wants to, just send Yellow Bird at a very slight arc through the lattice wood and on to the glass and TNT.
2B just 2 pass but repetable. Destroy first structure ANY way. YB will hit main buiding and weaken the walls or open a gap. WB very flat arc or high (but not the same if yout YB was high arced). With good reflex and luck it will be 2B.
First bird same as video. WB straight into the bottom of the structure without setting bomb off & the TNT did the rest! 79,100
The idea here is to launch the first bird at reduced speed so as to enter from the left (and not from the top) in the main structure.
Then you need to accelerate to damage a little the left structure, and touch the wood plank just above the glass block.
With luck, the plank then break and the full structure starts to topple before the explosion of the first TNT box.
The second one will explode shortly after sending debris all around.
It is quite easy to achieve 95k+ with this technique, and then you need some luck to go beyond that.
The pic shows the bird trajectory (and the highscore achieved).

Hope it helps.
I know this is about 4 months late @asher – but congrats on winning the trophy and for such a fabulous score and great strategy! Thanks for sharing.
I’m not as good at the earlier ABO worlds but I’m back working to at least get over average on this level for today’s Underdog Challenge round. So far I just can’t fling YB at the proper reduced speed and right angle. I’m sure other of our super Nest friends will be able to do this right. YB either does a belly flop for me or still flies up way too high to activate him downward toward the TNT.
@gypsybird I agree, reducing speed is so much easier in Space! Reducing the pull on the sling then sending a shot at a lower angle like in Asher’s screenshot is something I find tough to do on a touchscreen with my finger. Maybe it’s easier to do on a PC with a mouse.
One way to reduce the speed when flinging at a lower angle instead of up is to tap the screen behind the sling instead of actually pulling the sling back. The closer you tap to the slingshot the slower the bird goes, & tapping lower sends the bird high & vice versa. It’s still hard to be precise with your finger, maybe a stylus would make it easier.
I find the slower high arc easier, just waiting for the bird to crawl back up the sling. Don’t know if this helps you at all, but good luck :)
This is not a level for those with big fingers!!
When I try for reduced speed, I find it easier to pull all the way, then shorten the pull. Still not easy to do!
Thanks @karen68! Yeah it is especially hard on the smaller phone screens. I did manage to raise my score by about 1k. Wow! hahahaha. I tried a stylus and still couldn’t quite get the right speed with angle. I’ll try the tapping behind the sling as you suggested. I do appreciate your guidance!
Thanks so much for the strat @asher ! And yes @karen68 a stylus makes a reduced pull shot a breeze!
The key here is @asher ‘s strat is that yellow bird does * not * set off the TNT immediately. The best result for me has been when chuck breaks through the board and lands on but does not initially explode the TNT. While the structure starts to shift left, chuck will then roll off the TNT to the right and bounce back left to then explode the TNT. This throws everything out and flat resulting in greater destruction. Easily high 90’s and very, very repeatable if you can manage the short shot.
I tried @karen68 ‘s tapping method with some success, but as @swelld says, a stulus is the way to go. I find also that
I need to zoom all the way in to get any consistancy, but
I hate playing zoomed in as it makes me seasick ……or could it be the avian flu???
@asher, @swellD — Yes, I think a stylus helps, but what would help even more is a really big touch screen. My 94 K was the first time I even got 3* trying this strat, and I don’t intend to try for a higher score.
used ryan’s approach to obtain the same angle of entry, by letting the bird creep up until it reaches the fork of the sling, before releasing, activating it shortly after reaching its apex, breaking the wood. while the structure collapses, the bird rolls off the tnt and activates it upon falling down. got many 90k+ scores within little time, with a best score thus far of 98,810, so no need for a mouse or stylus i guess.
@vuelva, I. managed 96k without a stylus on my iPad, but boy it sure is easier with one! I started using a stylus about six months ago. It was weird at first, but very shortly I began to wonder how I did without one for so long.
Today I have two 98k scores, one with Ryan’s shot, and one with @asher‘s (thank you!). I recall trying asher’s method way back, but just could not get it. Today, I did! Not sure which way is more effective, or easier, either way it is a difficult shot to make successfully.
interesting. did your scoring improve in general you think, using a stylus?
i only commented to say that i found ryan’s shot way easier (something like 1 in 4 as opposed to 1 in 25) to pull off on a touch device (as also reported by karen68), and that i think it’s equally effective wrt high scoring. although a stylus is more precise, i don’t use/have one, also not for other apps. it’s just that i prefer to touch a touch device. it’s part of the fun for me. (i wonder whether anyone has had plastic surgery to have more pointed/precise flinging fingers (preserving tactile sensation) :-)
@vuelva, I just stumbled on your question regarding the use of a stylus (confession time, I was actively seeking out all your recent posts ;). Yes, I do think using a good stylus has helped my scores, if for no other reason I can play longer (not sure that is a good thing). Before getting the stylus, I would have to use different fingers, so one would not get overly sore. I was also getting pains in the back of my hand. Discomfort aside, I love the small tip of my current stylus, and better visibly with my hand not getting in the way.
For a while I was happy enough with the Bamboo stylus with replaceable rubber tips, but my new favorite is the Lynktec TruGlide PRO with a small microfiber tip. As the name suggests, it glides nice, and has a smaller tip than the Bamboo. Unfortunately, the tips are not replaceable. The TruGlide PRO runs about $25. I am on my second one now, the first one lasted about four months before the tip became too soft and mushy (At first I thought my iPad was malfunctioning), A bit expensive, but I would not want to fling without this stylus.
not sure following is a sin, but hope you will be absolved anyway. thanks for the info; will look around for styli. never had problems with sore fingers or hands, but do play with different hands and fingers depending on position on couch, weather etc..
great @asher
here my video after a few attempt with 96k:
https://youtu.be/lEu4q0k04VM
Trying to fling the white bird over any debris from the crisscross structure, yet under the main structure, is a VERY tricky shot! Esp. if you can’t first shave off those little pieces jutting out with the yellow bird. I scored better, 82,200, when I tried this level the first time, months ago. Now that I’m trying to improve my score, I can’t seem to aim or detonate that dang white bird at the precise moment. Oh, Matilda, you are the bane of my gaming existence…
It’s actually possible to clear level with one shot. What I did is half-cock the catapult at 45 degrees, as the yellow bird launched, slowly, and arced over the first pile of wood with rocks at bottom, I sped up yellow bird and he went right through into the TNT
A one birder in Classis, similar to @asher‘s strategy above except I kept chuck low through the thin pieces towards the bottom of the left structure and broke the plank above the left TNT. pieces started falling the left TNT exploded then shortly after the right for a new high score.
high score — https://angrybir.de/3IEaHUb
97k/1 Simple and straightforward. Has this maybe got easier?

Works just as well with Reds Mighty Feathers – here’s a video for 102k/1.

We know what you mean @steviep147 (Red’s Mighty Feathers!)
@admins – nothing to do with this! FYI The challenge site is down

A deliberate 2 bird approach. Yellow bird flat but high enough to avoid setting off TNT. The aim is to destroy the top part of the little left hand pile of wood then destabilise the main tower by removing the lower left hand pig and the vertical wood plank to the left of it (our left, not the pig’s left). Then drop Matilda’s egg on the remaining pile of rubble on the left and let the carcass cause the main tower to collapse. if successful it will happen over several seconds in dlow motion, eventually setting off the left hand TNT and the the right. I had enough debris left over to suggest a puppy might be possible. Only one for Classics, I think. A Classics fluke with one bird might get right up to about 108k
@ozmongoose Hi. Assuming that you used AB ORIGINAL for your score? If so well done and don’t forget the claim the puppy!
@steviep147 Hi. I did use AB ORIGINAL but unfortunately not quite enough for a puppy!
Actually @asher had the Originals high score which you beat. All the other scores were made with Red’s Original Feathers which just makes for confusion. Submit the proof and ask @sweetp for a puppy.
Think this was clarified much earlier as not qualifying for a puppy. There are not two parallel Challenges. But I have no idea where that thread is.
I must have missed that. I understood when the “parallel universe” scores were first allowed in the daily challenge that the corresponding high from each platform would be eligible for a puppy. Did I read the rules wrong? Ouch! If this is indeed the case it makes a mockery of the whole thing, as many of the levels on Red’s First Flight are clearly easier to score well on and will often trounce any Original game scores. Many Nesters do not have access to this platform, as at the moment it’s only available on iOS. and so are clearly at a disadvantage. @sweetp can you clarify? @Asher @comex666 and anyone else, your thoughts please?
The daily challenge is back up and I have reread the rules for the underdog badge.
As of 1-Apr-2023, top scores from either version of Angry Birds – Original or Rovio Classics (recently renamed to Red’s First Flight) – are eligible for an Underdog badge. Therefore, it doesn’t matter which version you play, as long as it beats the Highscore posted on the Challenge page. Score proof rules apply to both versions.
It’s the first bit that confused me. Top scores from either version etc. I perhaps wrongly took that to mean a differentiation in platforms.
Not as if ABO is that available either.
The only time I get a puppy these days is when Classic comes along.More please @sweetp!Same basic one birder others have mentioned found best results came when Chuck broke the small glass block and went straight through to the left tnt.
Proof of score @sweetp thanks

nice flinging BN (@briann) !!!

I got to 102100 with two birds but in the end this was the one bird approach as described by @brianN and others. I shot as low as possible from the sling but it took a lot of repeats. Still think there is few more k possible.

@sweetp for puppy, thanks
Finally got the one bird strat in Classics to work, low with acceleration fairly quickly out of the slingshot, through the small front structure and the glass block straight to the left tnt. Had a lot of scores in the high 90ks before finally getting 104k. @sweetp
