Angry Birds Ham ‘Em High 3 Star Walkthrough Level 13-10

Our strategy for Ham ’em High level 13-10 is to use one White bird to clear a path to the TNT on the left side of the level, then use another to blast it. If needed, drop the suspended TNT onto the far-right pig. The score in the video below is 59,090.

Three level between me and total destruction – 13-10 is one. I cannot get the second white birdto detonate the TNT at the bottom. I can get it to send debris to get the far right TNT but inevitably the next two birds di nothing. I’m staying up until these damned levels are done!

Two bird solution very similiar to the first two White Birds in the video with a few differences: first bird took out first pig on left along with the stone blocks falling from the top obtaining some addition points on the way down and the second white bird after activation flew over the top and hit the tnt and took out the bottom pig on the right.

Same as video, but ensured the thin vertical (and preferably also the horizontal) wooden posts on left side were destroyed with first white bird, rightmost pig was dead and the hollow square immediately left of the pig trio was clear, otherwise reset. The second is then an easy shot to egg bomb that hollow square to get the TNT.

I found that higher scores …. 65k and higher consistently attained by using the first bird in such a way as to leave the at least one of the stone blocks standing vertical from where it sits at the start which is horizontal. A fairly easy shot described below. Second white bird shot so that the hen head nips the now vertical stone by the first shot, rolls over, hits the TNT, and takes out the pig below by falling on it. The shot must be high enough to allow the bomb release as close as possible to the other TNT not yet exploded sitting on the floor. This is a tough shot.

When I finally got the shot I was looking for, 72k.

1st bird: Shoot the hen as in the video, and release it so that it hits the corner of the wood, destroying both the horizontal wood and vertical wood. And hopefully standing one or both of the stones vertically.

2nd bird: The key shot. Tough. Somewhat high….allowing for both a straight vertical bomb drop close to the TNT, with the hen head hitting the top of the vertical stone(s) that you placed from the first shot.

Rinse and repeat until it all comes together. Took a lot of tries.

@admins,@mvnla2@kelani, @mumsie42 – This morning, while playing the Daily Challenge,I once again got a great score,( 90,080 ),from what I can only guess was a glitch. I’ve posted a screenshot. In it you can see that there are two birds unused. I launched the first white bird, aiming for the right side of the upper-left wood plank. Just as the egg hit the wood, all the tnt’s exploded at one time. It did leave the far- right little pig sitting on the ground. As I was about to launch the second white bird, the chain from the hanging tnt fell on it,giving me an incredible score.
For @mvnla2 & @kelani– once again this has happened on my android-based Thrive tablet. It has only occurred this one time.

@meanguy I’d say congrats, but yeah, given the score and your device’s…energetic history, I think that’s probably a glitch. I also got a puppy on this level today, and despite a miracle 2bird shot with lots of lucky destruction, I only got 76310. At this point, I think we must assume that there is either something unusual about the Thrive that causes levels to blow themselves to bits, or you are the luckiest guy on the planet :) I noticed a few times when this has happened, it’s been caused by a lone normal-sized TNT exploding and causing massive damage across the entire level. Is this common to all the glitches, or just some of them? And, does this only happen on AB original? I also meant to ask you, after the Birdday Party challenge glitch, what Android version is yours running? After that incident, I did a bit of research, and found a lot of conflicting info about what Os versions were actually available for the Thrive. I wondered if you were running one of the unofficial ICS upgrades, or an official one (if it ever came out). I think it’s likely something about that OS version, but as Blossom River 20 taught us, sometimes the device matters, too.

As far as what the glitches mean for you, as long as you play on that tablet, I think you’ll have to make judgment calls about whether a score came from normal AB randomness, or the Thrive C-4 Effect (for lack of a better term). And we’ll have to rely on your judgment. If you want to get to the bottom of the mystery, it may help if you keep a record of each level this happens on, and what the trigger seemed to be. If we could say ‘It’s always a single TNT’, then that would narrow it down quite a bit.

@kelani– The last upgrade I made to my tablet was the official ICS version, directly from Toshiba. I did the upgrade earlier this year.
I believe I have reported a glitch or two that has happened on my PC,but the majority have been on my tablet. I really wish I knew why. I am not very computer literate, though I will often work at a problem until I figure it out or find someone who can help me.

Several months ago, while playing the Challenge,I had a glitch (I don’t remember the level) occur that gave me a score extremely beyond what was possible. That time,I reported the glitch & the score to the Admins and did not enter it in the Challenge.

I don’t think I’ve paid enough attention to previous weirdness that has happened, but with regard to the tnt’s in this level, the middle tnt appeared to ‘super’ grenade, then a piece of debris, possibly wood, knocked the right tnt away from the chain. That tnt then took out a piece of wood that landed above the far-right little pig, which looked like it might survive. Then the chain above it fell, ending his day & giving me 90,080 points.

Since I first joined ABN,I have always played by the rules.I have never used a power-up,going so far as to contact Amslimfordy when the ‘flock of birds’ first started showing up. If you or the Admins feel that these events are not fair,I’ll understand if my score is removed. If you have anymore questions, please let me know.

@meanguy thanks for the info. I’m glad you finally got the official ICS! I know lots of Thrive users were upset at the prospect of their device being obsoleted before its time. I’ll keep looking into this. In case you haven’t noticed, I love a good mystery. :)

FWIW, I believe what you’re saying, and I don’t think anyone here questions your credibility. You’re an ABN Alumnus, and have always been proactive and open about each glitch. Plenty of people would just post the scores without saying a word. How you’ve handled it says a lot. I definitely appreciate it, and I’m sure others do as well.

Since I stand to benefit if your score is removed, I don’t want to risk influencing that with my opinions. All I can say is if I were in your position, and got a potential glitchy score, I’d ask myself two things:

– If someone else posted this score, would I buy it?
– Is it in any way possible for others to reach or beat this score?

Then I’d make a judgment call, or let the @admins decide. I definitely don’t envy your position. It must be very annoying to play for hours, get an amazing score, then have to wonder whether it’s legit or not. :/

@Sal9 & everyone else- When I reported the “hardware-specific physics anomaly” I said I would abide by whatever decision the Admins made about my score or getting another puppy. My previous score before the ‘anomaly’ was 70,700. I have played by the ABN rules since I first found the site. I’ve read of other players getting to keep artificially high scores via the now infamous Santa Hat Glitch ( it was repaired before I played that level) and another involving dolphins that I’m not familiar with.
Whenever something other than normal gameplay occurs, I always report it. (This has become easier since I learned about Dropbox,I believe from @kelani) I don’t use power-ups & know less about computers then the average 8 year old,so cheating is out of the question for me.
If you look at my post on today’s Challenge page,Mine & Dine 16-3, you’ll see that I reported an out-of-ordinary occurrence. This one I was not able to take advantage of. I have no control over when or how things get weird with these games or with my tablet.

Here’s My Video – which shows a successful 2-birder using the walkthrough strategy. I only got 67k on this, but the shots are the same.

My 2b strategy was much like the walkthrough, However that video didn’t get great results with the first two birds,, so it shows a 3-birder. In my attempt, I found two minuscule sweet spots, which gave some lucky debris action and a few extra points.

Shot #1: The horizontal plank and all four wood and stone blocks above the leftmost pig fell leftward, and hit the left-side debris at full speed, breaking more debris, including two or three of the hollow stone blocks. I think the key is to have Matilda leave nothing behind that will to block the fall of this falling debris, thus slowing its fall onto the other blocks.

Shot #2: The wood planks and wood/ice blocks forming the upper right half of the main structure were jolted rightward by Matilda’s rebound. The hanging TNT broke loose and fell a short distance before detonating. This blasted the aforementioned right-half debris back to the left side debris pile where it broke, along with a few stone blocks The blast destroyed the wood block and hollow stone block to the left of the TNT, damaged the other hollow stone block, and killed the far-right piglet. That seemed to do the trick.

@sweetp, or anyone else who needs to know, I am claiming a non-glitch high score on this level of 80580 with a strategy that I think may not have been mentioned before. No offence to @meanguy, it looks like his 2014 score was allowed to stand and nobody has posted any other comment for 6 years.

Anyway, a 2-birder. First white bird aimed slightly below horizontal and exploded on top of the pile of stone blocks to the far left of the main structure. The carcase needs to then remove the first long vertical wooden plank, thus exposing the route to the main tower beyond.

The second bird has to drop its egg in to the exposed well before the main tower with the release point as low as possible. The resulting explosion should net at least 68k but can be much higher, especially if the TNT on the right explodes, which is very common.

A gain of 11000 in one day.

I think this level, like others in Ham Em High may have got easier because this strategy seems too obvious not to have been mentioned before. I have a screenshot which I can post if I can work out how.

Rank: Avian Overlord with 16585 points

An alternate strategy (got me 74k): first bird drops over the right-hand side horizontal plank (near its right corner), and the carcasse cuts the chain to release the TNT. This gets rid of the right side of the structure including the two pigs. The second bird drops on the hollow stone that the largest pig used to sit on. This should destroy the rest of the structure, setting off the TNT. This approach from the right seems to give me better scores than going from the left as in all the other posted strategies.
