One strategy for Trick or Treat level 1-1 is to launch a Red bird into the top of the structure, next to the pig. This level is super simple, requiring a one-bird clear and a little bit of destruction. The score in the video below is 44,790.

Just what I did :). I found that just bumping the end of the plank will cause the bird to drop and destroy the lantern, which seems to let the structure fall down for more points. I liked this challenge level.

Hitting the wood plank increased my score along with the bird dropping down to get the lantern. Debris fall seems to play a major part in the higher points.
Zoom in and line up the back of the launch basket/tail feathers with the top black leaf of the tree in the background. This provides a consistant aiming pattern for landing spots on the plank’s end and also under the plank above the lantern. The latter technique also provided scores in 49k-low 50k.

Also got 51030 using this method but barely hit the bottom of the plank, hit the left bottom vertical one, bounced off and hit the left lantern.

Aiming at low left corner of wooden board was the key matter of many levels :). AND some repetition of course. I rise from 46, by 47, 48 to 50K. Lack of time for more now.

I am revisiting all the old levels and trying to up my score a bit. On this one I hit the long horizontal wooden plank and got lucky. I got a score of 51460!

I managed to hit 50k by attacking the space above the lantern. Hitting the wood resulted in very inconsistent scoring. Sort of like Dory in Nemo (in singing voice) – keep on flinging, keep on flinging…!

Yes, @mecstaveler this is the challenge level. Also note that now that the Eggsspedition level is over, it is again possible to win the Underdog badge by beating the highest score that the level had when the Challenge started. In this case, if you get higher than 51,880 you get the badge.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean. The Arctic Eggspediton level is done and has nothing to do with today’s daily challenge. To get the Underdog you need to… 1. Beat 51,880 on Trick or Treat 1-1 2. Tell what your strategy was to beat the score. (You do that right here) and 3. Take a screenshot showing your high score and post it in your album. You should post the link to your album with your strategy. Good luck!

Little tip: horizontal wooden plank should be destroyed soon after hiting by a bird. This caused a much more chaotic fallout with more damage and collisions by other parts of structure.

+180, more than enough for me with this level. Still 2 blocks left, so 52k is definitely possible. But score like 52830 is unbelievable, because farthest tiny square box has a very, very low chances to be destroyed.

@bernersenn your “favorite” challenge! A 1-bird R&R level. I’m stuck at 48, any tips on hitting 50 other than,”just keep flinging”? I’ve been hitting between the lantern and the platform, the platforms itself … Even a big arc can get 45-46 but I just can’t hit 50. Must, Whiiiiine!
