  • I’m playing on a Kindle Fire HD and just went to play Curse of the Necromancer…..the game crashed :-( and when I rebooted a message popped up asking if I wanted ABE notifications. I clicked yes and the game loaded as if I had never played it before :-( Despite logging in via Facebook it has still left me with nothing on the first level despite being level 31 and everything that went with it!!! Help :-(

    This also happened in the past two days on the children’s Kindles but they don’t play it very often

    Can you log in to your Rovio account? If not, email Rovio and tell them. This happened to me and they couldn’t do anything to restore, but they did give me a large number of lucky coins.

    No way :-( I had nearly 600 gold coins :-( :-( I will try but I signed in once and it hadn’t ‘synced’ properly so I never signed in again :-(

    Email Rovio and let them know you’re livid. I told them how I felt, to put it mildly, after my level 18 game was totally lost. They gave me 1,200 lucky coins. Still super pissed, but it did compel me to play the game again.

    Hope that helps. They should be able to fix it, but if they can’t fix it, I’d definitely ask for some kind of compensation.

    The same happened to me, they were able to restore a backup from 2 weeks before, nothing newer. Gave me 1250 LC to compensate.

    So they’ll be able to help you, but you’ll loose some progress.
    Complain and say you lost much progress and hopefully you’ll get 1250 LC to compensate too.

    I just lost 15 weeks worth of progress also and got reset to ZERO. I had just copied into my spreadsheet my entire status and when I logged in it reset me to this:

    OUCH. I think Rovio just cured me of my ABE addiction. If they don’t fix the issue by Monday, I’ll file a dispute against all the purchases I previously made.

    @toothgnasher did you try contacting Rovio to see if they could fix it? Others with this problem have been able to get results that way.

    I wouldn’t be surprised if Rovio nuked you (and others) for botting, assuming their TOS has something on this.

    @toothgnasher Apparently Rovio considers automation to be like cheating because someone made a few posts about a free product that does the same thing as the mouse clicking automation program you were using and his posts were quickly deleted. I won’t mention either product because I don’t want to anger the admins.

    I feel sorry for you losing all your progress. It seems a bit extreme to me for them to delete your account without giving you a warning first.

    @graugeist, @killerkea I thought about the “botting” angle, but clearly it’s a bug affecting others, too. I’m pretty sure that the only way they’d know I was botting is by reading the forums. After all, I do the same thing when I play manually, except when I play manually I’m more efficient! It’s not like I’m hacking the game here (though I have another account in which I certainly WILL do that given this experience).

    I finally heard from them. It was not a great outcome as far as I’m concerned. They smurfed me back to the status at the last game upgrade – MORE than two weeks ago. Then I had 5,000 snoutlings, level 37 and no birds greater than level 7. Yeah, they gave me 6,000 LC – but I now am back in Cave 4 (was on 13). That’s a couple of weeks of my life (back to day two of my 13th card rather than day 6 of my 15th) … and, of course, I got NO result from the contest which just ended (I was in first place by triple second place). I suppose the good news is now that I have a slew of LC, at least I can get some “hats” I never had the LC for before (skulkers, sea dog). However, I suspect even if I spent that trove of LC I’d never get the sets. The Golden Pig Machine continuously gives me trash.

    Dude, you bot. You play maybe 30 minutes a day “for real”, not 20 hours a day.
