Sideswipe’s components are mixed up.

Okay. Let me explain. Go to this link / Facebook Hyperlink below & scroll until you seed the Timeline Photo detailing the Sideswipe event.

Now, if you look at the Timeline Photo, you’ll see the promotional image for Sideswipe, which has him with 5-spoke wheels, & his chest (front of vehicle form) has dark red headlights & the Autobird symbol.

With his Level 1 Game Model, however, he has 3-spoke wheels (which turn to 5-spoke wheels), & his chest (front of vehicle form) has 2 pairs of bright yellow headlights & an indented vent on the hood (loosing the Autobird Symbol).

With that said, I’ve deduced that the components detailed from his promotional image are supposed to be his DEFAULT / STANDARD components. And the components detailed from his Level 1 Game Model are supposed to be part of his UPGRADES (instead of being his default / standard components). Final verdict: Sideswipe’s components are mixed up & NEEDS fixing, & Rovio must be aware of this.

 

UPDATE! (As of 9/21/17 EST): It seems that Sideswipe’s issues mentioned above are also applied to other characters similar to him, such as the recently released Red Alert & possibly Sunstreaker (if he is coming to the app sometime in the future). Once again, go to the link / Facebook Hyperlink shown above and scroll down until you see the photo detailing the Red Alert Event.

At max upgrade level, Sideswipe has only 3-spoke wheel and the rest of the figure matches that of the promo art with exception to the wheels. So basically they put Sideswipe’s max model on the promo picture and thus your deduction is wrong. With that being said, this is not something one should lose sleep over (noted by your emphasis on “needs”) when the game is riddled with other game breaking bugs.

@datguygamer But think about it. Sideswipe’s chest / front of vehicle form in the promo art has the Autobird Symbol, has dark red headlights, and a slightly slim design.

But when Sideswipe is at level 1, his chest / front of vehicle form has no Autobird Symbol & instead has 2 pairs of Yellow headlights & a vented indention on the hood.

Think about it. A indented vent on Sideswipe’s hood & 2 pairs of yellow headlights. That’s something the Max Level Sideswipe PLUS the Sideswipe promotional images (ex: for his event) do NOT have. That’s when I’ve assumed that the components Sideswipe has at level 1 should have been for his UPGRADES (since the 2 pairs of headlights & indented hood vent do make his chest / front of vehicle form fancier appearance), and the components from Sideswipe’s promotional images should have been for his DEFAULT / STANDARD components.

Not only that, but for Sideswipe’s 3-spoke wheels turn into 5-spoke wheels when transforming into vehicle form, and even with upgrades, the 3-spoke wheels in robot form don’t change & the vehicle form wheels always stay as 5-spoke wheels.

Just because I have made a deduction doesn’t mean that I am right. Like you said, maybe I could be wrong. It’s my fancy way of calling it a guess or a hunch.
