Rovio Account Question

Home Forums Angry Birds Epic Forum Rovio Account Question

  • I have a question for anyone who may have used their Rovio account to access Epic on more than one device.

    If you previously played Epic on both devices, does it update progress for the account based on the device with the highest progress to date, or does it default the second device to the progress made with the first?

    I ask because I have a Rovio account set up for my Kindle and was curious if I logged into that account from my iPod if it would update my progress to the level achieved on that device, or if it would drop the progress on the iPod back to what has been attained on the Kindle.

    Rovio account sorts stuff using the latest progress algorithm which is usually the highest.

    If you are logged into a Rovio game with your Rovio account, all progress is saved in the cloud and not on your device itself.

    So you in your situation, if you made the most recent progress on your Kindle and were logged in with your Rovio account, and now you log into your iPod and log in with your Rovio account, the game on the iPod will be in the exact state it was on your Kindle.

    I will give it a shot and see what happens.

    OK, I logged into the Rovio Account associated with the Kindle on the iPod, and it switched from the level 42 team that had been on the iPod to the level 19 team from the Kindle. But when I log back out of the Rovio Account my game switches back to the level 42 team. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but at least this way I can try to play the Tinker Titan event between crashes on my iPod while I wait for Amazon to get version 2.0

    Rovio will tell you that if you want to be sure to not lose progress across devices, you have to log out of your account on different devices when you are finished. It’s a pain, but it does seem to keep things synchronized. Going back and forth between iPads and Androids are especially problematic, but if you remember to log out of either before logging into the other, it relatively clean.

    Based on my newfound knowledge, BabyBurbman lives again! I can now play all three of my accounts from my single device. All I have to do is log out of one Rovio Account, and log into another. I already had three email accounts that I use on a regular basis. Now to get 10,000 event points in time to get another elite upgrade!

    One Device – Three accounts, who knew?

    @burbman Epic supports the same number of accounts as the integer overflow (granted if you can manage that many).

    @datguygamer – I think I will stop at three, ThankYouVeryMuch! ;)
