Positive aspects of improvements by Rovio

  • Although it took some time to find them, there are indeed some real improvements after Rovio/Exient claimed they improved the game.
Firstly, there are the spark runs, which have improved significantly by lowering the points needed for sparks, making the balloon pigs less lethal and introducing the possibility of “buying” a 4th bot. See also this link .
Secondly, the problem with the continuous crashing of the game seems to be tackled, although I did have that thought many times before, but later on these problems did reappear. So cross your fingers.

Btw: I’m fully aware that there are a lot of issues which have not been improved at all (see almost all topics on this forum), but I’d like to emphasis the more positive aspects.
And no, I’m not connected in any way to Rovio/Exient, so this isn’t some kind of promotional talk.

Must agree with the spark run improvements as before I would sit on level 12 getting 210 sparks and since then I have managed to get to 29 which is 380 sparks but I sit around level 26 to make sure I can get 350 sparks each run.

Still getting black screen after ads which requires me to go to home screen and then re open to start the node and at the start of the event I had one crash to home screen when trying to do a event run and had the same issue when trying to do a normal mode too but since then there has been a number of soft updates and I have not had the issue since.

@moifirst I don’t think they have lowered the score it’s just before balloon pigs and walking mortar towers didn’t give you any points making meadows, beach and desert pretty useless. Now they give you points you can get higher scores.

@phillips You’re correct that items like balloon pigs and WMTs now give you points. However there has been also a lowering in the score. All these things, together with the other mentioned improvements, make a higher score ( -> more sparks) possible.

But flying pigs are all so harder to shoot down. On a regular run with EG it only takes maybe 1 second to shoot down any type of flying pig, on the Spark Run it takes 4 to 6 seconds to shoot a single one, imagine a swarm.

Must admit flying pigs are still op and what makes it worse is when they take out a tf and it swaps over then this tf starts to take damage as soon as they are on the screen and sometimes nearly dead as well

@luis-carlo-arocha that is the same with all enemies. The early levels they were way easier to kill than in normal levels but as you reached higher levels they all became harder to kill than normal levels. Although haven’t had a swarm of flying pigs for a while must of been fixed a few updates ago. Most that appear at a time are 3 once you destroy them another 2 may appear but nothing like you used to get and still get in normal runs where about 10 appear out of nowhere.

Flying pigs still remain difficult to defeat as always. Also one can be attacked by unknown sources as I’ve experienced sometimes, when a bot had lost its life in half an episode without any (at least to me) obvious cause.

I still refuse to do spark runs.

I must admite spark runs are better now. I can collect 600 sparks with the possibility to earn 800.

Dead End kill flying pigs with two shots at most. If he is killed, I must rely on luck to not be swarmed.
