No reward for 'ranking up'

Home Forums Angry Birds 2 Forum No reward for 'ranking up'

  • Gaining stars playing the Arena but no reward gained from one star level to the next! Always got them in the past but very hit and miss these days – a few meagre gems last time but nothing this or the previous few rank ups.
Each rank up demands more and more stars but precious few rewards in recognition – the only benefit being more daily feathers.
Is this a general complaint or just me?

I have the same bug too and I know why.
There’s a glitch where, for example, if you have 60/105 stars to the next rank and you gain 8 stars in an arena battle, the game thinks for a bit you have 52 not 60 stars, then adds 8 and shows 60/105 stars until you exit the Nest. After that, it will always show the new amount of stars, which will be 68/105 stars. Star gains in regular levels work normally – but the star gains in the Arena have caused me to miss at least half a dozen rewards already, including – most recently – my reward for reaching rank 25.

A little workaround is, if you aren’t that much into the new rank (9 stars maximum!), you can win arena battles and still get rewards.
The funny thing is, this workaround (and the glitch in general) allows you to get up to THREE rewards for ranking up. First, you rank up in a regular level and end up with 0 stars to the next rank. Then you win an arena battle with 5 stars, and another with 6-10 stars. You’ll get the reward every time.

Thanks, Yoshi for working it out – I thought I had yesterday when needing 10 stars to rank up to 38 and gained three on’the map’leaving seven I conveniently got winning in the Arena – great! I thought expecting a little chest bursting with three gems to pop up and then it didn’t… Seems I did things the wrong way round!
