Check out this ridiculous bundle offer for Grapple that I given when this event started. I strongly suspect that Rovio/Exient gave me this particular offer just because I had bought 5,000 gems (during a previous event) that were only intended for emergency last minute instant recharges for the challenge runs (as the game calls them), and instant bot recovery if my bot gets killed, especially during a challenge run. Previously, the only Bundle offers that I would get didn’t cost more than 2,000 gems (except for the ones that had costed real money).

When you buy that bundle you’ll only get these high cost bundles from now on. Happened to me as well… You can wait a few days then it will be 2000 gems. I’ve stopped buying new characters for gems… Playing to get 10000 tokens

Only playing for sparks,  but already saw unicron for the first time in a while.  Also, there’s a red crown Grapple at the top of my leaderboard,  because of course there is.

That’s a lot of sparks, I guess, in that bundle, but even so it seems overpriced in comparison to the occasional eggspark offers.

@deindiaan   This is the FIRST time that have received a Bundle offer that costs 5000 gems. The highest Bundle offer that I have ever bought only costed 2000 gems which was the first time that I was ever offered any bundles that only costed gems, and all of the bundles that I have been offered since then have only costed 1000 gems and 2000 gems. I’m pretty certain that I’m being offered this 5000 gem costing Bundle offer just because I had bought a gem pack with 5000 gems in it. Gem packs (including the bonus sized gem packs) are NOT bundles because they only contain gems, so they should be used to determine the size of the bundles that are offered to each individual player.

Also, I never said that I was going to buy the offer, as I, too, am playing to try to get 10,000 tokens. I’m just appalled that they would offer me such an expensive offer (that is probably not even worth the price that they’re asking for it) so soon after I had bought those gems, it’s like they are saying that they want me to waste all of my gems when they know that I desperately need those gems elsewhere.

I meant when you buy a gem pack that costs around 50 euro/dollar you’ll get the 5000/2000 gem offers from now on for the new characters. I’ve bought some of the 30 euro/dollar gem packs before and then I always got the 2000/1000 offers. Before that even the 1000/750.

 

I have one gem pack offer left which cost 99,95 Euro for 10400 gems(100% welcome/ first time bonus,’I’m not going to try what happens if I buy that one ;) (Which is a huge amount of money to spend!!)

Is anyone else experiencing the 501 error Internet connection problemy,  for the grapple event ?

I just can’t get in due to the problem, I did manage it once, by clicking on the rollout popular,  so there can’t be a connection problem as I have done shockwave spire with no problem at all, and you need to be online to do it.

If the is a glitch, please can it get a fix asap, thanks.

@quar   It’s not really a glitch (more of a delay reaction to your internet connection, instead), and it is not limited to the Grapple Event. I experienced it during the previous event. The game takes a moment after loading from a launch (or relaunch) to establish a connection with the Rovio/Exient servers (especially with slow internet connections) in order to allow us access to the event screen, so other features may become accessible sooner than the event screen. All you have to do is wait a minute or two before you try again to access the event from the map screen, so you don’t have to use the Rollout button on the info screen as a shortcut.

Unfortunately I have kept the game open for over an hour, and am still unable to access the grapple event, my Internet is fine everywhere else. So I’m not now able to enjoy the game like I have. This is the first time this has happened,  I am not happy about this glitch.

Do you have the latest version of the game installed?

Yes I  updated it a couple of days ago,  which is when the problem started, it was fine before,  no problems at all.

In the last few minutes I have uninstalled, cleaned the cache etc, and then reinstalled,  to no joy, it’s still showing as connection problem for grapple event only 😠😠

Strange no problems at all here with the connection. Did you try to switch from wifi to 3/4g? Else I’d think you better make a ticket for support.

@deindiaan   I don’t think that it is because of the internet that there is a problem, since he said that it was only the event that was not working properly, and that the other internet-required features were still working.

Anyone notice that when you’re using Grapple on Missile Day, you only ever get two missiles every time a silo launches?

Usually if you’re fast enough at hitting the first missile, you can get as many as three missiles per silo launch.

I tested this by switching to GSG and I was able to consistently get three missiles.

@deindiaan my Internet is not the problem,  it’s something to do with the Grapple event only. I have put a ticket in already,  I am just wondering if anyone else are having the same problem.

Huh. I occasionally experience problems connecting to the servers when I launch the app or switch to it. Been doing so for as long as there have been events though sometimes it’d more frequent and persistent then others. All my other apps have no problems . Usually i can switch out of the app and then back, waiting a few seconds each step, and it reconnects no problem. Occasionally repeated attempts don’t work and I have to fully restart the game. That nearly always works.

On other news I gathered 10,000 tokens and unlocked Grapple. In case someone has forgotten Grapple needs Birdium to upgrade.

Seems like Grapple leaves a lot of blocks on the table. The effect is cool, but the destruction seems to be less than what I would expect.

I’ve seen him multiple times per day. Must just be luck? I’m not leveled up enough to do more than half damage to him anyway.
