Which do you prefer? A more health or more attack?

Depends what you’re up against. If the enemy does a lot of damage, you’re best off with more health. If they have a lot of health, you should have more attack. I keep one of each type of both armor and weapon for every bird and choose accordingly. For Chronicle Cave battles, I always start the battle with just two birds to see what I’m going to be facing, then leave and start again with a properly equipped team and a well-chosen hired bird that fits with the enemies I’ll be facing. If you just go in blind, you might find out you’ve wasted the once-per-day hire on a team that’s useless against the foes you’re fighting. (Particularly a problem in Cave 5 where half of them are Ninja battles.)
