Not sure if anyone else has noticed this, but the lotus flowers regenerate after entering your nest, the arena, and the cave (or any battle). I have had several times during this event where all the timers in the game stop… The stamina timer, the Dojo timer, even the arena timer! it’s really annoying. I sure hope they update the game with new level classes, because I have 250+ double XP potions and nothing to use them on.

@loganimolgmail Do you get new lotus flowers each time you do one of these activities (enter nest, arena, battle) and return to the main map? That certainly does not happen in my game. What system and device are you playing on? I use an iPad air running iOS 8.1.3 and the latest version of EPIC.

My lotus flowers regenerate, but not quickly, maybe one every two hours?

Surprise of the morning: I woke up and was still in 1st on my leaderboard. The competition is closing in, though.

It’s a bit annoying today as I have not got a single 7 stamina fight all day :(

I notice the lotus flowers come back every 3-4 hours, but sometimes it takes about 6 hours (I check every half hour in order to fight 7 stamina battle).
So far there’s no “reset bug”.
Hint: deploy Chuck/Wizard and Blue Trio/Spies (with crossbow set) can make the battle way easier.

I haven’t had any issues with getting 7 stamina or 5 stamina battles. Then again I’m using some of my energy storage to fight additional battles. Nice to have friendship essence to roll higher scores. Currently I’m at 47.040 points, 2nd place has 17,480. At this point I’m only using the accumulated energy drinks until they run out and no further energy drinks.

Yes, the flowers regenerate after avery battle, every entrance to my nest, every entrance of the chronicle cave and every entrance of Terrance’s boat. It makes it pretty easy. I finished out the competition with 54K and my next nearest competitor was at 25K. After a while I stopped using stamina drinks and just saved them up. I have about 70 stamina drinks, 270 XP drinks and my achievements show that I won the event, but the tab for the event says “coming soon” and when I click on it, it says 3 days left… not sure what is up, but I want to roll for my xp! it will put a couple birds to the next level, which will help for the arena.

I feel bad for the other people in my group, as I think i had a pretty unfair advantage. I never had to use a single friendship essence the whole event… Though it was nice, because the refresh timer froze most of the time.

Does anyone else have the “coming soon” on the event tab?

@londojowo Do you realize that the best prize you can possibly win is 800 snoutlings for 1st place and up to 1500 snoutlings from the wheel spin and since you already have all rank 10 birds you don’t need any snoutlings? You can have half your score and no one is likely to catch you.

I wrote this yesterday, but apparently didn’t post it, and hadn’t read the comments above yet.
I haven’t figured out the lotus yet. There seem to be a max of 5 (not playing overnight). However, sometimes they appear 1 h after you tapped the last one, and sometimes not for 1.5 or 2 hrs.
Also, in terms of mastery, and I think this has been true for all the events, the mastery obtained from any battle is pretty low. If you want mastery, play CPC or SRC. If you want battle medals, it seems to me that you probably should play the Mandarin.

@loganimolgmail — What device and operating system are you using? I don’t think my lotus regeneration has any relationship to other activity in the game. It seems to be on a timer.
How many lotus do you get in a day?
If it makes you feel any better, I think we concluded that for the events the people on your leaderboard do not have the same leaderboard.

I am playing on an iPad. I wish I would have counted all the lotuses, but probably upwards of 50 (x5) per day? I haven’t heard of anyone else experiencing this phenomena, but it’s been great to collect all the resources.

@loganimolgmail — I don’t think you’ve said what device and operating system you’re playing on, plus what version of Epic?
For the rest of us, I think the only connection to entering the nest, etc., is that the lotus may only appear when your game connects the server, which it seems to do when you go to and return from a different screen. But so far, new lotus for me seem to be at 1hr + a few minutes, even if I go to another screen.

I am playing on a retina iPad (I think this makes it an iPad 4) running iOS 8.1.3. I am playing the most updated version of Epic (1.2.5) though I was seeing the regeneration of the lotuses in version 1.2.4 as well.

Yes, I could have backed down and more than likely could have used the time grinding in the diamond league instead. However, the top 10 places are cheating and I was bored so I decided to burn energy drinks instead.

@loganimolgmail I use an iPad 3 with an older OS and didn’t experience the same thing you did. The 3 is the first iPad with a retina display. Version 4 has a faster processor than the 3. Version 5 is the iPad Air and version 6 is the iPad Air 2. There are 3 generations of the iPad Mini.

So finished first (yay!) and got 2000 mastery Chuck, 6 stamina drinks and 2000 mastery for all birds. I guess I could have hold out for the best price of getting mastery for all three arrows but after 5 spins to get the price I did I settled for that. Could have done worse ;-)

Didn’t expect that to happen.
So what’s the point playing for first three spots! So glad i didn’t fully commit playing the event, just for few extra stamina.
I had 1 spin on wheel and after roll had the 2000 for every birds and 2000 blues 6 stamina price.

ETA: Ok, it finished after a full close of the game and reloading. I won 1st place and got 2k for all, Blues, and Bomb. Took a few rerolls, but it was worth it to me, and I’ve still got friendship essence to spare. This helped me level up Red’s Guardian to 8 and Bomb’s Sea Dog to 5.

@renitz Yes, you fight to get a better place so you can get a better spin on the wheel+some snoutlings :-)

Place 1-3 gives you three stars, 4-6(?) gives you two stars and below that gets you one star.

Okay THAT was weird.

I started up Epic right when the event ended and spun the wheel and got what I described earlier. Now when I opened the game again I got a new notification that the event had ended and I got to spin again. My Friendship Essences had bee restored as if I never had gotten the reward and the mastery for my birds was restored too.

This time I DID get the best reward: 2000 for all, 2000 for Blues and 2000 for Bomb after only three spins. Weird but… thanks :-)
