@BrianN look for a  app titled files open and you should see the file open it click the 3 dots and select delete.

If no app click on the 3 dot top right of this page and select downloads and repeat above.

Thanks for replying @ixan57.Tried looking in settings and file manager nothing resembling app titled files open.

Tried your second suggestion and deleted the initial download that sets up the install but there was no mention of the partial install itself on the  Chrome download history.When I did so it said ‘deleted from download history but still exists on your device.’So still have same problem.

It’ like a ghost in the machine.

I knew that @hunnybunny. Just trolling. Woman’s Hour seems to be on most mornings when I take Twiggy in the car for our daily route march, er…. walkies. Never been a Radio 2 man, I got to Radio 4 via 5 Live. Radio 2 sounds quite a lot like what Radio 1 sounded 50 years ago. So can you imagine what Radio 2 might sound like in another 50 years? Least of our worries.

Always good to hear from you @sweetp, however brief. Were you involved in the redecorating of the BP when it was re-launched? You did a good job. I particularly like the color (I’ll go US spelling here) scheme for the new indoor swimming pool but the pool room walls make my eyes go funny. There again it could just be those funny cakes that Tom Hanks was passing around. OB is getting very lax with the clientele.

Glad to hear all is well @sweetp.Don’t you just hate it when real life gets in the way of birding activities?

Speaking of which was able eventually to find and delete that rogue partial file but it won’t reinstall.However my inner child is happy as I’ve been able to download some files containing playable flash games.Playing AB Philadelphia Eagles while I watch them in the playoffs.Quite an easy game but the ‘Philadelphia’ Mighty Eagle has a pretty high bar.

Ah, reminds me of my pen anecdote.

At university my good mathematician friend Rob had an expensive ink pen which developed a fault so it took it into Smiths to get it repaired (a service they obviously offered 40 years ago).  The girl scribbled a handwritten note to confirm possession of the pen, the problem with the pen and a repair price. He put it in his pocket and forgot about it for a while. A few days later he took it out not realising what it was and was somewhat startled to read PenIs Leaking £2.

Seen out of context this was indeed an alarming statement.

Doesn’t help that there are numpty news reports of bad damage in Bangor, North Wales when in fact it’s Bangor Northern Ireland.

Headline here would be “Bin gets blown down street”.  Still enough to close schools and the main bridge to Anglesey. When I was a kid etc etc etc…

Still gives me a chance to check out some of those AB Web games.Vuela Tazos has some levels that are extremely difficult to 3*.In fact I’d go so far to say levels 4-6 in game 1 were the toughest I’ve ever come across in the whole AB pantheon of games.So there!
