In a way I feel there is a legacy here to protect in memory of those that have gone before and are no longer here (Rat, Kathy…) but it’s easy for me to get sentimental when I’m not faced with the monumental hard work in keeping it going. We all know nothing lasts for ever – we just hope there’s enough sticky tape on the roll to last for a bit longer.

Hello guys saw the funniest thing today.You know there’s been a pile of wet weather,sure you’ve sampled some of storm Bert?Anyway my daughter has a little part-time job at a shop only 1/2 mile from home so normally she walks but with the weather being so inclement I said I’d pick her up after her shift.

So I’m parked up waiting when this guy staggers out of The Brechin Arms absolutely steaming.He passes by me and stands outside the KoheNoor Indian takeaway swaying like mad then he sees something in the gutter(you can imagine after all that rain they were like small rivers).I honestly don’t know what he picked up but he threw it at the shop window and as he did so he fell over and rolled into the gutter.

As you can imagine he was livid and he started kicking the wall of the takeaway and shaking his fist while I was hoping he didn’t see me crying with laughter.I do hope the owners of KoheNoor are Hindus cos that was instant karma.

ps my daughter was gutted she missed it all(she was the one who took that video of Granpus having that pratfall in the trampoline play area-you can hear her asking her gran if she’s ok through tears of laughter.)

Speaking of red squirrels saw one with incredible road sense last week(forget which day it was,one of those nad freezers).It ran along the grass verge on my side of the road and I prepared to brake in case it made a sudden dart.But no,it stopped on the grass until I’d passed and as I looked at it in my rear view mirror I kid you not it looked right then left before crossing the road.I know it was supposed to look right again but that’s mighty impressive for a rodent.

Tried googling Highway Code for Squirrels but no joy as yet.

Hey @hunnybunny I think the Welsh rugby team need to hastily arrange a friendly game against The Seychelles or Andorra just to get that monkey off their back before the Six Nations starts in Jan. Mind you Andorra might give you a game.

Surely surely surely any Google search involving squirrels and road safety would have thrown up The Tufty Club. @hunnybunny, you must remember Tufty. Kids in the 1960s were taught to cross the road safely on the basis of how a squirrel did it. Oh the irony. Tufty still lives! I’m filling up.
