EVERYPLAY replays of a attempt

Home Forums General Discussions Forum EVERYPLAY replays of a attempt

  • Well, it said I couldn’t go wrong by choosing this GENERAL DISCUSSIONS as a place to post this.

    I’m sure at least Android users have noticed in A.B.SPACE the new (maybe it’s only new to me) EVERYPLAY option to watch your attempt at solving a level again and then share/post it to facebook or somewhere similar.

    I haven’t seen any mention of this here on the nest though as far as my limited-by-laziness search results have uncovered. Has there been discussion of this at all?

    I think it’s a pretty neat feature and wish it would be available on all the AB games, but I only see it on SPACE right now, and it’s not on my girlfriends ipad, so….. not sure where I’m going with this all of the sudden, lol…. anyhow, I guess I am just opening this up for general comments at this point. Happy flinging

    @tmax Indeed, it was included on AB Space Android only. But you will find that feature on Bad Piggies.

    @tmax, a little more info here…
    EveryPlay plug-in in Space was rolled out for Android during the latest v2.1.0 update, but not on iOS devices.
    I play on an Android (v4.4.2) and noticed that it’s been available in Bad Piggies for iOS, but not for Android users.
    Hope that makes sense why your GF’s iPad does not have the same Space plug-in.

    It’s a very neat feature indeed and hopefully it will be embedded in more AB games in the future.

    I just tried it since I got a good score, but unfortunately Everyplay had some problems then and the replay didn’t show up. But it works fine now – so I guess its back to the slingshot and hope for some results worth sharing :-)

    As I guess you have all noticed, Everyplay was lost in Space(!) with the Solar system update.

    I have recently contacted Rovio about this, and their reply was:
    “Unfortunately there were some issues related to the Everyplay functionality so it was removed from the game. We do not yet know if it is coming back on a later update”.

    I did indeed have some issues using Everyplay to begin with, as I mentioned in my previous post. I experienced slow uploading which sometimes crashed, and I sometimes had difficulties watching others replays. I contacted Everyplay about it, and it turned out all problems was related to my slow wi-fi internet connection. When I switched to using mobile data or used my PC, it all worked just fine. It seems the Everyplay videos have quite high resolution, and that a good connection is required.

    I have replied to Rovio that I am really dissapointed with them removing Everyplay, as I think is was a great feature. I actually thought we would see Everyplay eventually in all the Angry Bird games, but it seems we are far from that at the moment. I can only hope they get lots of complaints, and that they will reconcider their decision!

    Thanks for the info @gladvold! Everyplay worked pretty well for me while it lasted. However it was never available even for nearly every android device.

    My current solution is Az Screen Recorder. It is only available for Android 5+ aka Lollipop but it works for any app including all AB-games. I do have problems occasionally with Lollipop being overly eager to free memory, since my device has only 1GB ram.

    There is a nice example of what you can do with AzSR in AB2-forum courtesy of @scott-katz:

    I’m disappointed as well, @gladvold and @micromax, that it was removed from the last update.

    But I’m glad we were able to create the videos showing our alternate strategies and also helped many of us get through some difficult levels!

    Thanks for telling us about Az Screen Recorder @micromax. I will have to check it out. Are you able to upload to YouTube with the app?

    MicroMax
    @micromax

    Hi @sweetp, AzSR does not share by it shelf, but it will invoke all suitable apps for that, for instance Youtube-app, if it is installed. I use VidTrim for trimming (AzSR after small payment would handle this too) and Youtube for upload.

    That’s great info @micromax, but I don’t know which app to install. There are three to choose from by different developers.

    To be exact @sweetp, I have Az Screen Recorder – No root by Hecorat.

    Ahh, no wonder I couldn’t find it in the Play Store. My Android version is 4.4.2, so I’m out of luck and won’t be able to record my gameplay. :'(

    @micromax

    Well @sweetp, you could after doing one of the following: root, install 3rd party Lollipop or get new device. I took the 3rd option in february. My fairly decent 8″ LG cost only 130€ and migration from 3 year old Samsung was much easier than the thread on the subject lets one to believe.

    Thanks @micromax, for that screen recorder tip. I downloaded it and it seems good. Only trouble is, I’m lazy! Having to actually handle it for every (usually failed) attempt feels like a drag to me. That’s what I loved with Everyplay, that you didn’t even have to think about it until you actually had a success finish, and THEN choose to tap “save your gameplay”! But we’ll see, maybe I’ll get used to it! It does work nicely!
