Drifting! – New Event!

All I remember is that for the better part of the first year, a bug in the game kept Bumblebee from spawning on any of the map nodes.  So I never had the “joy” of being forced to play him.

One hour left today, and I’ve encountered BP twice and Unicron once.

Both BP runs were of the low scoring variety (approx. 750 points each time) even though both times I didn’t kill him until after Astrotrain’s flyover.

I was surprised that I could kill Unicron, but it was close.  Just barely did it before he went off the screen.  I don’t doubt Dead End’s firepower, but I’m used to killing Unicron at a much more sedate pace using GSG.

Interesting thing is that Dead End can target and destroy Unicron’s flaming boogers, although it seems that this only works when the booger has only just left Unicron.

@quickgaming – Rovio usually begins an event with a high-scoring level to suck us all in so we play the event. It is their chance to convince us that we can do it. Finger Day is when Rovio follows that day up with a really low scoring day, basically giving all of us the finger.

i have obtain all sparks, now i will play when i will remember the game and only to collect some coins… though i am 345.000.000 coins… even after spending at least 750.000 coins every day at steel crates i can barely make near every day around 300.000-400.000 coins easy from map a little game etch… so i don’t see them ending very soon…

345 mil on coins?!?! and you get around 300/400k every day ? am i missing something here ?

I don’t know about the 300-400K/day, but 345 million is doable if you’ve been playing since the beginning and always use the video coin doubler at the end of each run.

I made it up to 110 million coins with my ongoing video boycott.

@elektric I am playing from 15 November of 2014 and my favorite en/con is Goldbrick and as always i always watching the ads at the and of any mission from map or event. And i have alredy 1.530.000 pigs and i have already play 40147 events from map and the weekly events. So yeap you don’t miss something. And believe me it’s easy to earn 300.000 – 400.000 coins per day even now that they nerf the money from the map.

And here is my stats from the game and sorry for the mistake it’s 340 million not 345.

As you see with 2 runs i gained 25.000 coins if i play around 4 hours maximum per day i can make those 300.000 – 400.000 coins.

Managed to take down Unicron using Dead End again.  But once again, it was super close.

Timing really is key – if you have too many WMTs / Falling Monoloths / Missiles to dodge, there’s no way.

After watching some videos of Drift, I’m not sure if I want to get him. I hate the way he fires. I think I’d rather get sparks and coins.

I can vouch for @elpapam’s runs, I’m running Goldbrick as well and get runs like that. Those totals are actually about 39k. The video gives a bonus of double your score on top of your score. On top of map runs, I get about 150-200k from the lab.

Kinda OT, but wondering if upgrading the silo is worth it. Currently at Level 20 (max 10 SR).

Yes and no.

It has made my life a bit easier in terms of managing materials drops (don’t have to worry as much about overflows, and making sure I have enough mats for TF upgrades).

But I’m still not seeing the “improved materials drops” that you’re supposed to be getting with an upgraded silo.

I don’t really see any harm in doing it, unless you’re desperately short on coins and/or mats already.

Is Drift really worth getting? I’ve seen videos and he doesn’t impress me.

I don’t have drift, but I’ve seen videos of him too. And he looks really bad. His projectile is too slow. I don’t think he is useful in events or spark runs at all. Lucky for me, I don’t have Wheeljack, so I have something to play for this event.

@deszaras If you don’t use him in missile day or pig city, maybe . You’ve seen how everything he shoots instantly blows up. I like him, but there are better bots. He’s fun though. I would probably get him if I had enough tokens.

I’ve overpowered Wheeljack and got his Panels. Now to coast for the sparks.

@deszaras He does hand many good points, but if you have other options, such as unlocking Wheeljack or overpowering either Wheeljack or Brawl, those may be better options.

@millforce2K With Wheeljack, Richochet and Deadend already part of the squad, he looks to be the weakest. I’d rather get the panels, sparks and coins even over overpowering any of the two bots even though Brawl could use it but he’s the worst of his squad too.

@deszaras Good point. I think it came down to a coin flip to overpower Wheeljack or Brawl and I went with Wheeljack. Not that I plan on using either in an event any time soon.

Wheeljack isn’t in the squad with Dead End and Ricochet. He is in a squad of weak bots (Ultra Magnus and Rodimus),and he is clearly the best bot in that squad. There are currently only 3 members in the Wreckers, so one may be added later. Having a heavily upgraded Wheeljack would help a lot when that competition comes.

Now for speculation: who would they add as another Wrecker? That is the only squad with open spots that make sense for Ironhide to be in. Jetfire was also in the Wreckers…

@joel687 I checked later on and released why I had those three grouped together is because of Rodimus being in both wreckers and hot rods. With the right accessories. Rodimus isn’t  that bad. Drift would be more appealing if I didn’t have Wheeljack. Drift likes like a poor combination of Wheeljack and Prowl. Are the panels a better accessory for Wheeljack than the launcher?

Kup should be the next wrecker. I’d love to see a generation one version of Ironhide but I think they’d make him too much like Heatwave.
