  • Just cleared all 6 nodes and while I did get beat up I completed all of them. 4 were previously unplayable where 3 I died in seconds after start and 1 couldn’t handle the wave after wave of flying pigs about half way through. All four were energon characters and was able to survive the onslaught and rehealth throughout the rest of node.

    The coin payout still stinks though, 5 nodes were all sub 1000 coins. 2 of those cost more to rehealth than I earned.

    Really hope that there was a fix on this. Need to unlock two more TFs and then just collect coins and play missions to upgrade until something new shows up….

    Doesn’t seem like it. Even with most of my TFs at L11 I still encounter nodes that give me serious problems.

    I don’t think Rovio’s had a chance to update anything yet. AFAIK the most recent mini-update was just to fix the crash-on-startup bug.

    Well I can’t explain it but I’ve just played probably 30 nodes since yesterday and have completed all but one and that was a glitch, buttons unresponsive couldn’t call in buddy, use energon power or transform and got creamed by a row of monoliths.

    The shotgun pigs seem to have been toned down a bit, I only lose a couple of hearts when they swarm attack instead of dying almost immediately.

    Now I’m not saying it’s easy, a lot of those I barely squeaked by with a heart or less left, but at least now I have the chance to complete instead of just giving up and then upgrade that TF.

    Over the last couple of weeks I always got stuck nodes that I’d have to upgrade to pass, and even that didn’t work all the time so I’d skywarp only to get the another stuck node and having to upgrade again most of the time. I spent more time doing missions and was playing 4-8 nodes a day while today I’ve done 18 without any problem, and I’ve done 3 sets of 4 hour missions and 1 one hour.

    Fyi I’m on Android and I believe your on ios. That may make a difference.

    It’s been about two months since the iOS update, when I had nearly all my TFs at level 10 and was nearly at rank 250. Then it went to H-E-double hockey sticks.

    In the past week, finally, I can actually run nodes and not experience inst-death. I haven’t been plagued by the crashing that others have been experiencing, so my level of irritation and frustration has dropped. My TFs are closing in on a 50/50 split of level 10s and level 11s. I send out level 10s who still experience insta-death on easy missions, and usually get 5 keys and don’t care that they aren’t available to play nodes. A couple times a day, I drop in, collect mission loot, play all the nodes that were tied up on missions. Often, I can’t play at all as all the TFs spawned in nodes are on missions. Yesterday, a gold dome spawned with the TF who is upgrading. Sometimes it’s convenient to take down an eggbot with a deciptihog to work on that achievement, only if the timing is right and it only costs me a gem. Eggbots seem to wandering further afield to nodes that haven’t been opening up since November or December.

    The nodes opening up are mostly easy and medium again…maybe it’s linked to rank? Maybe skywarping so many impossible nodes cleared them out? Or as @optimuspig mentioned in another thread, Rovio messed up the ability of the level 10 TFs in the most recent release.

    I wonder if those nodes opening up isn’t because Arcee and Airachnid are still relatively low level compered to the others and they will close down again once the ladies reach the vicinity of L8/9/10?

    Hmmm. My Arcee and Airacnid are at level 7, I can upgrade them as a test, starting late late tonight when current upgrade finishes. Other TFs also spawn in those nodes, and some level 10s experience insta-death, esp. in the node right at the centre, at the bottom.

    I think they did manage to nerf the game without an App Store upgrade. They probably did it in the code that gets downloaded when you load the game from your device.

    I no longer face insta-death. Never. I do have bots dying on me but that comes only from my bot taking damage on hard levels or when I play sloppily.

    My Arcee and Airachnid have been at level 8 for a few days now. Yesterday, at bottom of the map, centre-beach area, a medium difficulty node spawned a level 11 Brawl.

    Yeah, my TFs are all now L11 or L12, and they’re still spawning lower-Beach and Forest nodes. Weird.
