Bumping up from 17 to 18

I’m not sure how this is supposed to work but I had Matilda complete 17 before 18 was released. The status bar was maxed out but the feather numbers started at 0 again. What do I have to do to get up to 18? Should that happen automatically? I’m playing in the Arena against people with multiple 18’s. Thanks!

If you were at 17 with enough feathers “in reserve” then you only need 1 more feather to get upgraded to 18. For example, I think you needed 3800 feathers to go from 17 to 18. If you already had 3800 feathers and then opened the free chest to get 10 feathers, you would be moved to level 18. That’s why you see people with all 18s shortly after the next level is added.

Thank you but I think I got s*****d on this twice. I also didn’t bump up from 16 to 17 when 17 was introduced. Once again, 16 was maxed out already. Seems like I had to do these levels twice.
