@mmotorsport Go for this event to get Blaster. He is great bot and definitely need your attention. You can use most of the bots from the list. Just play hard and you will take him with tokens.

So the new event’s name is ironic given how all bots in this game are essentially clones of each other and they are attacking our wallets.

@datguygamer  I would rather have scones attacking my wallet. At least, then, I could eat them afterwards.

@asen That was exactly my idea. I was able to dump a bunch of sparks into my soundwave and get him 180% bonus. I don’t think I can hit top of the leader board, but I can hopefully collect a lot of tokens throughout the day and end up top 3 for a good bonus each day.

This event is pretty good.  My main choices are Soundwave/Photoblast or Soundblaster/Glassor.  Already have five hundred tokens!

I would call it a mini finger day because I was able to get up to 800+ points before bonus.

That’s fine and well, but are you going to come anywhere close to 400K total for the day?

Because that’s what you’re going to need to max out the Challenge portion.

Pretty much,  it’s not Finger Day.  Drive away from Balloon Pigs.  When they crash,  you still get the points.

Averaging 650 points (pre-bonus) per run, but being on the 400K Challenge scale = Finger Day.

Definitely not Finger Day. Just got a base score of 851.

The scores or difficulty are not what make Balloon Pig days horrible. It is the token thresholds. On a regular day (TNT, blocks, energon structures, WMTs, etc) the thresholds go 1000>2000>5000>8000>15000…
But on Balloon Pig day they go 2000>4000>10000>16000>30000…

So even though you are getting around the same number of points per run as the other target days, you have to do twice as many runs to get the same number of tokens.

The point is that scores don’t scale up to match the thresholds.

Doesn’t matter if you score 851, even if you scored 851 on every run and had the maximum +700% bonus, you’d still need 59 runs to hit 400K.

851 x 8 = 6,808

400,000 / 6,808 = 59

Even if you played the maximum number of natural runs in one day (27) you’d need 8 recharges (510 gems) on top of that.

So yes, Rovio is very much giving us the finger.

Also, 851 is nothing to write home about.  There are some target days where you can easily score into the 1,000+ range pre-bonus.

Wood block day and missile day, are good examples, and those have the 200K max threshold.
