Angry Birds Fight! Level glitch?

Hi, I unlocked Matilda by working my way through the first few islands and completing the 3 star challenges as I went, but when she unlocked she was instantly level 106 and has a gold star instead of a blue star…

If I use her the xp bar never changes when getting xp and her stats definitely dont seem like a level 106, so there seems very little point using her…

I also unlocked the pink bird (I forgot her name) with 6 gems and she is instantly level 32 and her xp bar also doesnt fill up. (she too has a gold star instead of blue).

I have battled against these birds at normal levels like level 11 so its looking like mine are glitched somehow…

Anyone know why they are like they are and if theres a way to fix them if they are glitched?
