Aging Hardware

I’ve been playing Angry Birds daily for over a decade.

Unfortunately my trusty tablet barely holds a charge anymore. I can get maybe 20 minutes out of it before I need to recharge.

I can’t imagine the old .apk files would install on a modern Android device.

Any advice on how I can continue to play once my device finally dies? I still take frequent backups of my .lua files.

Hi @chirpy43 I don’t know much about backing up .lua files but you seem to have that covered.If you have access to a PC I would recommend installing an emulator like Nox or Bluestacks.Have been able to install and successfully play even very old versions of Angry Birds(2012 onwards).

Same here @chirpy43.  Plenty of Angry Birds .apk files available on (for example) Uptodown, all for free. But you do need a PC with a bit of RAM for those emulators to run smoothly.

Aging hardware = my eyes, my fingers, my body in general. It’s touch and go as to which will last the longest – the game or me.
