I got the same apology message that everyone else got but didn’t get the 100 gems. Several others had the same experience…an apology but no gems. I put in a support ticket with Rovio and I suggest that you do the same if this happened to you. Rovio might not believe or act on my lone ticket but they might if they receive numerous tickets with this same issue. Nothing to lose if you try.
