Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Moon of Endor level 5-28 is to send Chewie through the first three ropes, eventually colliding with the further leg of the AT-ST. As it swings, the AT-ST should eventually blast the main tower into oblivion, leaving only one pig trooper high above the level. If you aren’t fortunate to have him pop via ricochet, use Chewie to crush the branch. The score in the video below is 127,090.

Little lower than video, clipped toe of Scout Walker and Chewie did more damage to pile below Walker and did more damage to the dangling leg. This allowed the Walker to swing more freely – 137,050.
Whoo, got lucky here.. Scout Walker landed upside down and had the time of his life shooting down debris. Waited until that stopped and used a second bird to finish the level
happened to me as well.. walker upside down and destroying everything including the log when it fell from the second chewie
Two birds. The hanging pig on the the log was left, so I used a second Chewie, who smashed anything remaining in the process.
Bravo for sharing and congratulations on your top score @wicket182 :)
My “strategy” for 144,830 (currently 4th place): aim just below the toes of the left leg, just barely cutting the rope at the toes and stopping there. The right leg should remain intact and bent at the hip joint. This allows the AT-ST to fire more shots higher up on the right structure and further to the right, and fewer shots down to the ground. An almost complete clearance of the right side is common.
The rest is mostly luck though. If ricochets drop the hanging log, the level can end too soon to build a good score. On my best run I had another stroke of luck with my second shot to cut the last rope and to drop the log: the AT-ST’s head rotated all the way around clockwise and started firing to the debris on the left. It destroyed most of the debris (for about 10k extra points) before the level ended.
I should probably add that it’s beneficial if the AT-ST’s left leg is torn completely off by the falling Chewie. Otherwise its drag may stop the swinging too soon and its weight will prevent the head from turning around.
Thank you for your strategy @wicket18! With it, I think I perhaps discovered another glitch? I’m not sure exactly how it happened as I had looked away for a bit, but wgen I looked back, the rope of the AT-ST looked segmented (see screenshot). I couldn’t tell what it was hitting to wrack up so many points so fast.
http://angrybir.de/1iJoTsN
That’s exactly what it did to me. Your screenshot Is what I was trying to describe as a stretched rope.
Oh good! I wasn’t quite sure how to describe that. It was weird though!
@rubeeinthesky can you double check your score here, i think you may have entered on the wrong level or its a mighty typo lol. 22k above second place is a lot. If it’s legit then Bravo and Congratulation !!
Hi @kathy. I think you might be correct. This score and the one for the next level look really close. Unfortunately, I’ve gotten a new phone since I entered this, so I’m unable to prove one way or the other. I will remove my score.
Aww @rubeeinthesky At least write it down somewhere in case someone gets a score that high, I’ll feel terrible of it is legit: ( but it doesn’t seem likely. Ty for the quick reply:) Happy new year: D
@kathy I actually keep track of my scores with a spreadsheet (yeah, I’m a nerd like that!). However, that still doesn’t prove anything. The last thing I wanna do is post a bogus score! Thank you for bringing this to my attention. :)
Lol @rubeeinthesky that doesn’t make you a nerd, imo it makes you a lot smarter than I, i wouldn’t know how to make a spreadsheet of ya paid me haha. I hope eventually someone can come close to your score so you can get your trophy back, i really feel bad now for questioning it: (
No worries @kathy. :)
Alrighty then it’s time to Wwwwwwhhhhhiiiinnnneeee !!
@rubeeinthesky I noticed you hadn’t entered your score for this level, but you mentioned maybe a glitch?
I know again it’s been a loooong time, but if you could remember any details it would really help me out
Such as .. Did you wait for the ropes to stop swinging before you fired Chewie , and when you aimed’over the left toe’ as @wicket182 explains , did you actually hit the left toe? I guess i mean did your where did your aiming dots end? Sorry i know that is a lot to ask after such a long time, but maybe you write details in your spreadsheet , *asks hopefully* thanks for any reply you can offer:)
Sorry @rubeeinthesky jeesh these levels all run together after a while, i didn’t realize this is the level you removed your score: ( duh:\ can you tell I’m getting very frustrated with this episode lol, maybe time to move on i think: (
Hi @Kathy. I guess I should’ve read through the comments to try and jog my memory. Yes, I experienced a glitch as @wicket182 described and using his/her strategy. If you take a look at the screenshot that I posted back in March of ’14 (http://angrybir.de/1iJoTsN), you will see that the score in that shot is 148,170. Like @wicket182, I probably had to clean up with Chewie, which would’ve left me one bonus bird. I’m now feeling that the score I had entered then (169,890) was probably legit.
Dang it. I would not have reposted my score this morning if I had known this would be today’s challenge. Some @admins deleted my score and comments for some reason. Sure would be nice if they would make an inquiry prior to doing such.
There used to be more comments for this level. Look at the comment counts vs what we can see
From time to time, old scores are purged when it has been a long while since levels have been played.
Also, I could not find a screenshot of your top score in your album. To be able to keep your score, could you please provide one?
As written in the https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/about/faq/#leaderboards page:
“To avoid suspicion, we’re asking that those who obtain a top score leave a comment on that level’s walkthrough page detailing the strategy used AND provide a link to a screenshot of the 3-star score tally, which appears after you complete a level. Screenshots must show the initial highscore tally directly below the 3 stars. An exception to this is to provide a screenshot of remaining debris before remaining birds are counted, and the level times out to the tally screen.”
Since the moment is long gone, you can replay the level and show the 3-star score screen that will show your current high score. Here is an example of what I mean:

Thank you for your understanding.
@sweetp I don’t think you’ll get my understanding but you will get my acceptance. The screenshot was in my Album with pretty clear naming.

I looked at my activity page and found comments from four years ago which were also deleted from this page.
The long cut and paste you provided was not applicable four years ago and I think it is unreasonable to make it retroactive.
Thanks for your understanding
Nice score @wicket182 ~ it held up well in the Challenge that ended earlier tonight so I expect you’ll hold onto the High Score for a long time! Kudos !!!
thanks for the screenshot. You’re still the trophy holder for this level, so no worries.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Happy Flinging :)
Argh !!! AB Star Wars has locked me out of the game on my PC. Asking me to activate the full version, it won’t accept the activation key that I properly bought and paid for years ago. As I first said ~ Argh !!!
Hi@ll
just a nice and imo a beautiful to watch strategy for 2-birder.
Aim up in the sky and over the first floating rock. Chewy will have a bounce there continuing to the log, while breaking the ropes.
The log will “fly” to right structure, collapsing there (very different outcome).
The AT-AS will shoot the whole left side, some nice ricochets on this. Sometimes even the trooper on the AT-AS will be hit, so even here a 1-birder is possible.
Points from 120k to 130. Enough for three stars.
___________________
My 140k came from a 1-birder. High fly chewy just under the floating rock and the AT-AS falls perfectly for destroying all the right structure after a while (and itself with a last ricochet) and well before the speedy countout on this level.
140300/2
thx to @liontooth for the tip with –under the floating rock—
chewy hit the the rock and fall to the left leg
second over the rock
