Sorry everyone, I fell asleep watching info-mercials last night and wanted to see how a post would sound written like one. Moving on.
This update includes:
- A 1000-Coin Galactic Giveaway! Scattered around most levels are Bird Coins. Simply hit them with something (a character, debris, a rocket, etc.) to earn upwards of 1000 Bird Coins!
- Carbonite Rewards! Similar to a few other Angry Birds apps, there is now a randomized lottery to earn you a free Character Swap. The Carbonite takes 8 hours to melt, so you can earn a free Swap once per 8 hours. Or, if you’re impatient, melt the Carbonite immediately for 80 Coins (this price decreases as the timer counts down).
- “Traitor” Mode! At least, that’s what I want to call it. You can now use Bird Swaps on Pork Side levels, and vice versa, for a small fee. To become a traitor for a single level costs 10 Coins, and for all levels costs 299 Coins. Note that these are separate purchases per side.
- Disable Character Hints! If you’re tired of getting instructions on how to use a character, you can disable this in the home screen: Click on the Gear, then the exclamation point (or “shriek”). Bye-bye pesky reminders!
So don’t delay, hurry to an App Store near you to download this latest update. These Bird Coins are in high demand and retail at $9.99, yours for free (just feel bad about the very poor handling of your lovely birds).

Right now having problems collecting the coin right under the tree on B1-7.
It appears that I was unobservant, and stopped looking after collecting the coins in the air.
Hmm! A wolf in sheep’s clothing, I think. I think you have to use a character swap to collect some of the coins.
@mvnla2 You seem to have gone through a decent number. What do you think about a forum to request specific levels for video walkthroughs? From what I’ve seen, most of the coins are pretty trivial.
@amslimfordy Most coins are manageable. I’ve cleared out all of Rewards Chapter (except for a few levels which I have yet to unlock) and Escape to Tatooine. However, I’ve discovered a few in Naboo Invasion to be impossible. I also have yet to try Naboo Battlefield.
@AMSlimfordy — Stepped AWK for several hours. I see that you made new forum. I’ve only done B1 levels, and have a list of ones I couldn’t complete with available birds.

THIS IS THE GREATEST UPDATE EVER.
Once again I have to praise Rovio for their use of “permanent” upgrades, obtainable in game for reasonable prices (read: free). I previously had enough in-game coins to buy permanent Darth Vader usage. For only 299 coins (basically nothing compared to the price of Vader himself), I can now use him in every level.
This update doubled the re-playability of the game. None of the bird characters come anywhere near the power of Vader.
Meanwhile, I’m sure some of you have seen my guides on how to unlock reward levels using the swaps they give you. Well, that’s out the window now… because you can get UNLIMITED free swaps if you’re patient. Obviously we still have to see which characters are available in the carbonite, but hopefully they’ll be the ones that aren’t already in levels.
For another 299 coins (or I suppose 10 coins if you just want this one, but really, 299 is nothing), you can use the pig swaps on level B1-10, an easy score level (around 80k each time). This isn’t as important, there are workable pork levels, but this bird level is the most reliable in the game.
So yeah, great job Rovio. This is how you make a game with micro-transactions: reward patient and hardcore players with free things.
One more thing. I’m sure so some “hard levels” are “little” redisigned! Eg at B3-3 a tree fly with extremal easy!

Does the ability to swap Pork into Bird (for example) work with Telepods? I have almost all of them, lol.
Yes. As long as you purchased Traitor Mode for that side, you can scan both.
On ‘Traitor Mode’ does the all-levels purchase mean every single level in the game or just in that episode?
It’s all levels in the game, for that side.
@spacemaster The entire side — so about half the game. It will cost you 598 coins to get ’em all.

No. It means all your Pork Sider go to the Bird Side and vice versa. You have to pay for both side, though.
My first carbonite hatched into Kit.

I got the Ewoks. I think that the Carbonite prize may only be Carbonite Pack characters.
I got Chewbacca, so it is not limited to the carbonite pack.

No, they register immediately.
So… Idk what I’m missing. I made a list of every level (I believe there are 188 of them?) and how many coins are visible in each. And my total is only 919… 485 on bird levels and 434 on Pork levels. It’s possible I missed some but unlikely I missed 81 of them. It’s also possible that some pop up after hitting certain objects in levels. Please share if you discover some of those. If you’d like my breakdown by episode or level even, I have it all written out before I started shooting birds at them.

There are apparently coins in the rewards levels, did you count those?
There are some coins hidden in vegetation, at least in levels that have the pod-racer. Also I think there may be coins in some of the hollow logs.

Oh, this is a whole new game with the “Traitor Mode”. Often thought when play through the first time what it would be like to use Darth Varder on the Bird side. Now we shall see. Thanks Rovio with never stopping to surprise us!!!

Traitor Mode was a good idea! All level need Re-gaming and we should find new strategies.

This update doesn’t seem to solve the missing achievements, on Android at least. I am still missing some achievements, for example “Galactic Empire”, which doesn’t show up in the Achievements page, Overall tab. So I have no idea what the status of this achievement is, did I earn it already, or how far along am I… Can anyone confirm this bug? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
I have this bug as well. But some other player said that they still see everything in the overall section. Strange. I already reported this to Rovio, but they did not understand the problem.
SUPERB news Rovio! I just take update, clear again B3-19, collect all coins in 3 attempts and take #10 a next try :).
I’m having trouble to get the two bottom-most coins on Level PR-5 (Count Dooku Reward Level). Any help? (With o without character swaping…)
I managed to get that with Boba Fett’s missile.
@mighty-red-1 says to drop the TNT and fling a steel ball into the hole, but it seems to be extremely difficult.
Is there any way to keep track of my coin collecting progress like how many coins are there remaining on the levels? and one more thing does anybody know a good level to use my 10 Kit Fistos and 10 Jabbas?Bought them yesterday and still haven’t used them ecause I fear that I might not reach the target score needed for the reward chapter levels,any ideas?
There’s no way to keep track of coins, other than counting.
For your characters, try BR-11 (Chewy’s level). Hit the wood separating the two metal bars in the top left. You don’t need to activate any powers, so this works for every character. The tower will slowly fall to the right and you should get around 100k. Don’t fire the second shot until everything has stopped. You (usually) need another Chewy to hit the two on the right side.
If you have 10 of each, you shouldn’t have any trouble.

There are a couple of lists of the number of coins on each level; haven’t converged on a master list yet.
There are also some tips, and that is the best place to ask for and receive tips. There are some levels on which you can’t collect all the coins without a swap (at least as far as I know).
PR-5 is difficult, maybe impossible without a swap. I have the bottom coin left (1). Was able to get the second from the bottom with lots of tries and luck.

@mvnla2 – There is a very easy way of getting any coin (no matter where it is located) using Tusken Raider. Fling him anywhere and just touch the coin, that’s it! I posted this information in the forum as well.
ok yea i get it i absolutly love angry birds and especially angry birds star wars 1 and 2.they are without a doubt the best of the series..a b and star wars…wat more can u ask for…now i agree that this will add some more playability to this game but iv had 4 updates and still no new chapter…..its getting way too long now for the coming soon (supposedly) chapter..rovio i love ur games but iv already paid u cash to unlock everything why so long between chapter updates….yea battle of naboo had some hard levels but not that difficult that 5 months later we are still waiting pheewww im not as excited as every1 else about this….i will be happy wen new chapter comes….this is just rovio milking the tit too much…..
maybe a bug but my carbonite rewards seem to come much faster than every eight hours, did one for seven am and was able to redeemed it by 10 am?
it would have been cool to get an achievement for collecting the 1000 coins. so we are sure we got them all

I just collected all coins (I think) in B2 and P2, and didn’t get a reward.
It’s possible that you get a reward for collecting all coins in all levels, but not sure anyone has done that yet.
Have you been keeping track of the total number of coins or how many you collected? I started too late to keep track of coins.

i’m checking the forum often for coins and i’m still missing…
i kept track since the beginning: coins I have and then start counting the one I collect.
@Joeyba — There is no official word that there is any bonus, but as far as i know no one has found more than 920, and I think that @Sparty83 and @EricBridz have done a fairly exhaustive job of searching for them. The idea that the missing 80 are a reward is just speculation on our part.
