Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Hoth level 3-22 is to fling Leia toward the northernmost large asteroid. Target the westernmost asteroid with her tractor beam to pull the asteroid into the orbiting TIE Fighter. Leia’s impact should move the asteroid into the path of the northern TIE Fighter and push the AT-AT head into the gravitational field. You need a little luck with how the head falls, but it should typically crush all piggy storm troopers in the way. The score in the video below is 54,290.

Its a little easier by aiming Leia at the top left asteroid and half way the’re grab the back of AT-AT. Sit back and watch the piggies pop each other. Very repeatable for 59k plus easy to get 3*.
This method worked quickly for me, getting 56k on the dot with the 3rd try!
Yes, much better, thanks.
I am aiming a little higher, waiting until top pig is at 6 o’clock for lunching and shoot at 11-12 o’clock above the big stone at it. This stone crushes at top planet and one piece kills left pig. The top big stone gets in the way of top pig, kills it and gets pushed into laser pig and the right pig and finally crushes the pigs on the lower planet…
In the description above the video did you mean ‘eastern’ instead of ‘western’?
I don’t believe so. Looks like the western asteroid gets pulled.
Leia and I don’t get along very well, so I let Chewie loose, thanks to him I was able to raise my score to a decent amount. It’s just that Leia is very independent and only goes and does what she wants, not always necessarily what you need. As soon as I have a working strat, I’ll post it.
I prefer this strategy:
Aim as in video, but pull at the ATAT’s leg after you’ve passed the first asteroid. The head will crash on the bottom planet and destroy everything that’s there and then with some luck turn around and start shooting things that float around. It’s a bit unpredictable but at least you usually get a fair amount of destruction.
All though this level is very unpredictable, it seems you can get pretty good outcomes regardless by sending Leia slightly higher then 3 o’clock, just over the lower left big asteroid and then “grab” the AT-AT at the wire pieces hanging out from him. Leia will slam into the top big asteroid which should take care of the top tie-fighter.
Meanwhile the AT-AT will be pulled up and left, shooting lazers along it’s path at the right tie-fighter and rocks, then shooting down to get the two bottom troopers. Once the AT-AT has moved far enough to the left, he bumps into the left tie-fighter. With some luck it kills the tie-fighter. The impact causes the AT-AT to be pushed back up to the top planet with it’s lazers shooting east. It should get stuck there shooting lazers to the right breaking up the remains of the big asteroids which can get you a lot of points as they hit stuff and break up to decend into the bottom planet.
@lesleyg that’s exactly what I did! I found it to be the easiest way to get over avg. and a bit more. You explained it so perfectly I can’t even add to it!! :)
Once again I’m thanking you AngryAdvisor @lesleyg. Not 5 minutes after thanking bird-addict for providing a strategy that finally helped me get an above average score, I tried yours once again & got 64410 on my Android phone, an improvement of almost 4k. While far from the TopScore of 73330, if the Angry Birds Gods look at these 2 posts as whines (certainly not my intention), maybe I’ll keep getting lucky & slowly creep up 3-4k at a time ; – )
@justpast40 – You’re welcome ;-) Congrats on improving your score…twice now! Look out Top Scorer…Justpast40’s on a roll :D
Thanks AngryAdvisor (@lesleyg) … Between f91jsw & you on 3-25, I also had success … Still 50 or so spots from Número Uno, but not too bad ; – )
I found an easy answer is to aim Leia as @lesleyg describes, but instead of grabbing the At At, grab the left most astroid. That astroid will break apart against the upper planet while Leia slams into the upper right astroid, pushing it into the path of the upper left Tie-fighter. Next is a chain of events that clears the level. The left most fighter will slam into a piece of asteroid and push it into the AtAt which crushes the troopers on the bottom planet, before going down, the AtAt will push a piece of asteroid into the path of the far right fighter.
@bird-addict..I’ve tried lesleyg strat..i guess I’m not quite getting the aiming point of 3:00 ¿ The big asteroid really only allows a 1-2:00 aim..any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.should i wait for the tie to come around..sryy just a tough time here..;(
Thanks @bird-addict. I don’t remember how I got my very sad original 3* of 57530, but I had a lot of trouble improving to above average. I tried the video & a number of other strategies. Yours was the only one out of all those I tried that enabled me to get a barely above average score of 60690 on my Android phone after just 3 or 4 tries. It’s far ….. from stellar & I’m going to keep trying, but for now success !!!
Your welcome @justpast40 and congrats on upping your score even more by giving @lesleyg‘s strat another go. Angry Advisor has helped me more times than I can remember.
Good to know @bird-addict ;D And that’s why we love our Nest so much…Like the song goes, “We get by with a little help from our friends” :D)))
This is another one of those levels where I just try everything everyone suggests, cross my fingers and hope for the best… lol
Not a favorite of mine this one is.
Top score, wow !! And i was just complaining about this new level with the score counting (and ending) before every pieces have fallen…! AB’s God was obviously with me but 64K and more are repeatable.
My strategy (with my poor french-english ;-) is :
Just as the level starts, i aim Leia on the north west side (10 o’clock or so, cause it’s turning !) of the big rock under the upper asteroid. As soon as the trooper turning around reaches the east side (4-5 o’clock) of the leftmost big rock, i launch Leia.
Right after impact (Leia push slightly the big rock under the asteroid to the right, and so creates a larger “passage”), i activate her force on the “head” of the leftmost big rock just under. This one goes up, hit the upper asteroid and brokes into 3 pieces. One piece of stone is sometimes destroyed immediately (no matter) but the two others go down slowly.
After 3-4 seconds, one of them should touch/kill the left trooper still moving alone in circle and, because of the shock, this little piece of stone should jump to the right and push again the rightmost upper big rock (same one pushed earlier by Leia’s impact).
At this time, if a little luck is with you, the 2nd upper trooper should kill himself on this rightmost rock (the trick here is that the AT AT’s head NOT being destoyed by the rock or debris, and still firing straigth away), while the 3rd trooper, turning around the last big rock down on the right, kills himself on debris when reaching the north. There, some new debris should push the AT AT’s head on the lower asteroid and kill the two remaining pigs, while the blasters still firing here or there on small pieces of stone.
There is for sure different “cascade effects” but here is the main idea to get an honest score. Hope it will help….?
C’est génial Mr Heureux ;). Vive la France! I really well remember hours spent at setting my previous score (61,2K). Now I’m at 65,7K. I lost precision at the moment but I will be back (as always).
65K I made also by wating 3 revolutions and a lot of ping-rock happened. Staring at first occasion or wating one circle gave scores from 58 to 65 – not every time of course but frequently.

many thx to @happy66 and @thee-michelle
here my video:

As for the first bird, a level begins; and five seconds later to the position of the screenshot.
When, in a timing to tap it, the first bird passes right above left big stone.
To break a stone on a planet.
Because the right big stone got luck to come off, it was repeated.

@thee-michelle you’re picture helped me a lot. Thanks
Video strat, but launched a bit too early, missed the first fighter, However, the at at’s head swung around and took him out for me, 57k first try . 3 stars and moving on, for now.
I just scored 71,170 points using the strategy posted by @happy66 and the pic by @thee-michelle . After hundreds of attempts enough stuff fell onto the lower asteroid,before the level timed out, to earn another puppy.
@sweetp – https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/meanguy/album/picture/16449/
Good luck & happy flinging to all !!!
Good job @meanguy !! Happy for you ;-)
@happy66 – Thank you !
The “L” factor needed here is pretty high. I’ve cleared the level with one bird and not gotten 3 stars.
