Golden Droid #2 (aka, Golden Egg) is located on Level 1-25 of Angry Birds Star Wars Tatooine. The Golden Droid is under the main structure, but out of reach for any of your birds. Instead, drop the small stone on the left side with Luke, then use Obi-Wan to push the stone further right and into the Droid. Once you hit the droid, you’ll immediately be transported via a hyperdrive to the level. Anyhow, if you need help, the video below shows the location of the Golden Droid on level 1-25 and how to pass Droid level #2 (D-2) with 3 stars.
Go back to the Complete Star Wars Golden Droids & Bonus Level Guide. If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments, as that's what the leaderboards are for.
I found another way of doing this, albeit accidentally. I tried to replicate the method shown in the video, and after a couple tries I finally got Luke to move the rock instead of destroying it or missing it altogether, lol; my aim was a little off though and Obi-Wan missed when he tried pushing it. Forgetting the words of Yoda, I lost patience, and flung my second Luke off the ledge in frustration, only to find that my other Luke hit the stone with just enough force to reach the egg!
Easier than any of that, I just flung the first Luke straight down the cliff and it rolled right to the droid.
I did it that way too Judy and it worked great. No need to overthink this one.
similar to mine. i aim luke dead center between the two brushy plants. saber so he hits the plants and not the stone. the stone hit luke and rolled him slowly, and he actually took out the droid. so i guess it’s NOT “out of reach of any bird.”
50K is 3 star min – no need for * here.
True. 49xxx is 2 stars.
Thanks.
We’ll probably review all those threshold minimums over the weekend and remove those asterisks.
FWIW, I’m working my way through the normal 120 right now.
Is 48xxx 2 stars?
50,150 with te same strategy xd
My path is identical to the video, however my score is 30 points less than 3 star score(49,970) – how frustrating. Will keep tapping and hopefully can squeeze a few more points somewhere.
I’m in the same boat, at -370 pts. from the third star. Don’t know where I’m going to find them. This could get right interesting.
49990 with wheel destroyed… Grrrr !
For me the trajectory on the first planet was the key. I was trying to follow the gravity line closely and doing no good. Then I lowered the trajectory and my scores improved.
The important step for 3-starring the bonus level is to make sure the wheel that knocks over the laser is destroyed. The video shows R2-D2 zapping it, but I got it by luck when the Tie-fighter debris crashed into it.
Yes! Don’t even look at the score. Make sure the wheel is destroyed or you won’t get 50,000
Not strictly true. I lucked in to getting four pieces of tie fighter debris to fall on the planet. The extra points from those got me to 50000 without breaking the wheel.
it soo frustrating im having a mental breakdown no matter what lv i play only two star all of the video r star because u just got lucky
Watch the video, that’s it? You could say that about any of the walkthroughs.
I got 49860 using a slightly more difficult strategy. Aim R2 to catch the top of the grav field of the middle planet. Timing is everything with this method to avoid the lasers or have it flip you over to destroy the wheel and land R2 to tilt the laser. Debris was still falling when the level ended, so 50k may be possible.
After many tries using the method in the video, 50200. :D
Try angling R2 so it catches the outermost edge of the middle planet’s grav field in the left planet’s field. It takes much practice, young Jedi, to get R2′s hits right to destroy the wheel and tilt the laser cannon to make its ricochet shots. You’ve got to completely destroy the metal blocks on the non-grav moons with the ricochets
@brave1966 first of all i can’t EVEN get the Droid shot..did you have the extra souped up Obi Wan power?
I can almost get it but not enough oomph or I’m using Obi wrong as usual:( o did read the tutorial i finally found it..Ty:) and mvnla2:)
@Kathy: I got this droid using cool saber Luke and standard Obi-bomb. LOL
In the bonus round, I did not destroy the wheel but still got 50190.
I don’t want to flag high score but I wonder if it is possible to get 55k on this level.
It’s impossible to get 55k in this level. Mostly I get scores between 49k ’til 50k, but never reached 51k.
Thanks. Indeed looks phoney.
Also, don’t hesitate to silently flag. While I’m not working too much on flags in Star Wars right now, I do check them and — if they are very out of line — I will remove the scores.
Just as a heads up this player u are referring to also had entered high scores in atleast 2 challenges i know of ,and presently has 4 scores entered 2 top 1 second and 1 9th if i recall corectly
Proper actions have been taken. :)
I was able to get the golden droid just with Luke. I had read the description above without watching the video and interpreted it slightly differently. I aimed Luke slightly lower and then used the lightsaber to get rid of the plant holding the round rock (the rock is out of the range of the lightsaber). The unexpected part of this is the force of using the lightsaber pushed Luke down the tunnel and right into the golden droid. Freeing the rock didn’t matter.
As above i was having alot of trouble getting last few points ,finally was able to get it 3 or 4 times with this narrower trajectory ,, http://youtu.be/lK2GoEiHR50 i was unable to edit it ,so sorry for the background noise and 2 min ,instead of 50 seconds ,hope it helps ,good luck and may the frustration be absolved …
Short version… http://youtu.be/tarbUwNdVAk ,cheers
Nicely done @xebic88!
Yesterday I discovered that I was -7 below average (50.250) so I try to improve. After a lot of repetition I earned 50.460, some 50.250 again, 50.400.
Some observations: all wooden staff destroy it’s not enought. Next: number of rotating broken wings from Fighters counts but higher then 3 OR when it hits at wooden staff.
All above and/or R2 made something rare like @xebic88 video shows = eg fly around a planet and destroy wood. I try to provoke R2 to act like this video many times.
With my actual score my R2 made crazy raid over woden roll – like snowborder or skateborder. This gave me: 50.870 / #4!
Thanks for the video @xebic88 :) after R2 rolled over the sore he drifted and got shot and bumped around a few times where i picked up extra points. The lower trajectory is definitely the way to go on this one:)
Thanks for the video @xebic88, I went with the lower trajectory like you did, & R2 knocked the laser down, it shifted a bit before settling & I know I picked up a few extra points by laser shots hitting the stone on the leftmost moon as the laser settled. I tried to work out the timing to try & make this more likely but couldn’t manage it. Got lots of scores 20-30 points below 3 stars before finally getting 50k.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! :-) :-) :-)
Arrgggggggggggggg! I sent R2 around the spheres, broke the wheel with my energy field, knocked the cannon over to get the automatic shot that destroys the pig-tie-fighters and had debris break the brown piece of wood and still didn’t crack 50,000. I don’t know what to do next.
About the only advice that’s viable to give is to keep at it. A slight variance in your shot placement will eventually get you over the top. As frustrating as it seems, it’ll eventually happen. I know, as I went through the same frustrations.
An annoying pain in the backside, that’s what this level is. What finally worked was a strat noted above: launch your R2 in as low a trajectory as you can get.
Out of shere frustration I started experimenting with the initial aiming point in the first spheres gravity field. On my last shot, I lowered it to the point where it almost didn’t get swept into the 2nd spheres field. When the Droid got to the third sphere, it came in at high speed. It broke the tall piece of wood and the wheel, knocked the laser down and flipped over it, swung around the center and broke the smaller piece of wood. I got a 3 star score and I’m not even going to try to repeat this ridiculous method.
This level is all about timing the R2 “zap” to both knock the wheel over AND destroy it at least partially. I was stuck at 49K and change until I got a lucky explosion from the ti-fighters and it took out the wheel. I also tried throwing R2 lower than in the video. So, basically, just keep experimenting and hope for the occasional lucky bounce. Not much of a strategy, I know, sorry.
I don’t have an alternate strat I just came to check to see if anyone else had a stroke of genius to three star this level. I got lucky and a piece of tie fighter struck the wheel and destroyed it sending me over. This might be one of the most thin three star margins I can think of in all of AB.
I just improved my score by having R2 take out the wheel and flip over on the laser without breaking it AND the level timing out before it could shoot the ring of tie fighters. Randomness
Einstein suggests that doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is a true sign of insanity.
Maybe it’s just me but the sheer randomness of the point system in these droid levels is mind boggling, more destruction doesn’t seem to bring more points but sometimes less points?! Not to mention R2s screaming hissy fit is a bit erm annoying, kind of like bubble girls screeching when she first came out! Anyways I had better luck going in more than so close to the edge of the atmosphere.
Aimed lower than video.
R2 (and not the wheel) tipped the laser.
50.030
What is the deal with all of the space debris floating (wires, nuts, bolts, space junk and a few characters) around the Tatooine levels? Is there something I should know? And if so, how can I destroy them all? I have tried to but some just don’t want to dissapear. please let me know, And thank you very much. David L.
