Golden Droid #1 (aka, Golden Egg) is located on Level 1-13 of Angry Birds Star Wars Tatooine. The Golden Droid is above the main structure, but out of reach for any of your birds. Instead, use Obi-Wan to redirect the laser beams being shot at him toward the Droid. This is not an easy task, but our video can show you the idea. Once you hit the droid, you’ll immediately be transported via a hyperdrive to the level. Anyhow, if you need help, the video below shows the location of the Golden Droid on level 1-13 and how to pass Droid level #1 (D-1) with 3 stars.
Go back to the Complete Star Wars Golden Droids & Bonus Level Guide. If you have a different strategy feel free to leave a comment below; however, don't just post your score via the comments, as that's what the leaderboards are for.
You can also use the Falcon to activate the bonus level.
I may have to use a MMF for this. Anyone got any more detailed tips for without? like timing? Using video strat, I’ve been able to break the wood many times, but never a direct hit on droid, which seems to be required.
@fidslady Is that for feathered kids (fids)? I use that all the time, but unless those I know play Angry Birds or have birds as family members, they have no idea what I am talking about. It is hard to contact members directly without being friends, so I hope you get this, albeit a bit out of place.
I tried sending Obi-wan up on a high angle to use the force on the laser bolts, (around the 1 o’clock position), but what ended up happening what that the bird got hit by the bolt, then deflected into the Golden Droid, activating the bonus.
@TruckDriver — I would love it if you could provide more detail. Were you trying to use force on first laser bolt (of group of 3) on the way up, or down? Did you actually activate the force? Was Obi-Wan hit by the bolt you were aiming for, or another? Well, I was going to say “Hope you are stuck somewhere and bored enough to answer this,” but figured you might not appreciate the being stuck part. So I’ll just say I hope you can remember some more details. Thanks for your help, I am really having problems with this one.
@mvnla2 – I was trying to activate the force from a higher vantage point, so I sent up the bird, as previously stated, with the intent of using the Force on the incoming blaster bolts, but mis-timed it, and wound up getting hit by the bolts instead. This added additional energy into the birds pre-existing trajectory, spinning it through the wood boards, thence into the Golden Droid.
The idea was that I wanted to get as high as I could, to attempt to make the bolt deflection easier, but my goof had an accidentally positive outcome.
I’m not stuck, just getting loaded, and I had the time. However, I’m not going to turn down a happy accident within the game! This level was a real pain!
Thanks! Will try again. I’m sure this level is giving me more pain than it did you. I have 3* on all the bonus levels now, except for this one, which I can’t even unlock. GRRR!
Hey @TruckDriver — You can take all the credit for this, plus undying thanks! Whoot! I finally made it. Actually, I did it with your intended strat, not the accidental happy mistake. I would say that I sent Obi Wan closer to 12 than I and activated just below laser bolts (OK, they should be called laser pulses, and I’ll forgive Rovio for slowing them down from the speed of light).
Well, I’m glad it workedout for you! I’ll call it a real strat rather than an accidental discovery, if you insist, as I’m certain I can live with shamelessly taking the credit!!! :-)
@mvnla2 and @truckdriver thanks for your tips on getting this golden droid. I just started playing ABSW a couple of days ago and I’m still figuring out how to use Obi-Wan. I could not get the hang of the video walkthrough but did manage to get the droid by aiming O-W at about 1:00 o’clock and redirecting a laser pulse through the top of the wood.
Somehow I cracked this level (and several others) months ago, but not by diverting a laser (or strategies mentioned herein). But whatever way I used, I never bothered to remember bc I assumed they were just easy levels. I was on a roll I guess. But Some levels (like 2-18) were a mystery to me so i skipper them. Today I decided to go back and web-search a solution to levels that eluded me; and found this site. now I wish I remembered what I did on this one, bc it sure doesn’t seem so easy as it did the first time through … I know I didn’t put much time on it and it didn’t seem extremely clever at the time. … Dumb luck I guess?
I think there must be random ways to achieve the target without any specific method. I think I used direct hits and the power sling. But I can’t prove my theory until I repeat my success. Now that I got into 2-18 using this website, I am going let my grandkids “refeat” the levels that eludeded me before.
Your method worked for me on the 4th try. I couldn’t get it to work otherwise.
Lol @truckdriver who knew your mishap would turn into a strat that helped us all get the golden Droid
Thanks for posting it:) now to figure out how to get above average on the level..
You see!? Sometimes it’s actually useful to be a living, breathing train wreck on the hoof! :-)
Thank you very much! It worked out for me, about the 2nd time. However, for me, Obi-Wan did not get hit by the bolt, but simply deflected it into the top plank of the structure, activating the bonus.
Omega X
I am actually happy that they made the bonus levels a little more challenging to get
I observed so many starting levels (2st ones) of each series are harder. So here we are. At 1-13 it some time and attemp is needed to hit Droid box. When you start to hit systematicly near – it’s easier to repeat.
D-1 – again. 63.210-63.220 – easy – after some adjusting. Going further – higher then 63.220 is horrible. I made 63.230, next 66.440 and 63.490. To be continued.
Does getting obi-wan upgraded in later levels help make this easier?
I don’t think Obi-Wan’s power is retroactive.
Score: 64080
Found that the “front door” is not the only way in. Move up one and aim to enter through there. As with the front door timing is everything. This way in will also allow for the total destruction of both of the little green squares. I also tried the entry down one but was unable to destroy both squares
hey, nice one @trogon I just got an extra couple of hundred which was pleasant!
cheers for that – great tip.
After VERY short confrontation with @trogon way – I raised and scored #3 with 63.850 :). Also by higher close door. I also tried lower one but shortly – one greene light survive. So there are only 2 scorable ways.
I was carefully observed and practise timing before so I must only reudjust (+5 min at this special clock). First scores was awfully low. Even lower then with classics entry. Before I was at 63.490 which was nice before your post :). Many persons must test your way – judged by scoreboard change. THX Trogon.
I tried the upper door start and cleared absolutely everything on the board. Guess I didn’t do it the “right” way. Still only 63410. #frustrated
I revisited droids and bonuses today and found I had a below average score on this one. Had no idea how to increase my score until I saw this comment about using another “door”. Thanks @trogon – very inventive!
Going one “door” up with apparently some good timing got me 64060, second place (at least for now). Thanx for the tip! Let’s see if I can get those extra 20 points :-)
thx to @trogon for details
here a video with 63k:
https://youtu.be/lwzhhdDOuDk
It’s a tough on, but after I watched the video , I needed to get that laser up there … it went diagonal and destroyed all 3 planks after the eleventh try. The triangle has to be perfect.
=D
the golden egg scored exactlly 63220 , with a green light left …
Thanks a lot @amslimfordy.
Don’t worry about green lights, all the red lights must be dealt with before the big crush, and key to high score.
Me too-same results! And by now I should know to check the walkthroughs a bit earlier in the game!:0
How the heck can you get above 63,220 on D-1??? All I have left is a single green light. I’m guessing it has to do with the impact of R2 on the circling thingie. This one’s tricky! :)
Do the golden droids exist in AB:SW Facebook version? I cannot see them but could that be due to me not having enough stars or do they only appear in the standalone AB:SW?
Thanks for all the walkthroughs, etc.
No, they are notin the Facebook version.
Just reached 63,830 on this one. Used the upper entrance. Not sure how others are getting more points?
There is more then one way to score but is VERY hard to do :). Each green light counts etc. To many work to low difference at score – only for chalange or couriosity.
@archaeoman what’s the upper entrance?
Just started Star Wars and I did get the golden droid.. I want to go back and replay, but I am unable to it. How do you get back to play Golden droid #1 ? Appreciate your help. Thanks!
@withersphy Go to the “Bonus” episode — at the far right, where you would normally select Tatooine or Death Star.
Thank you! There is a whole section I didn’t know existed. LOL!
@Kathy I’m over here!! :) For the life of me I can’t figure out where the extra points are coming from?! I’ve totaled Everything but the score changes! Weird!!! :/
@Kimmiecv the upper entrance is through the cement block with the green light on top.
I have no idea where the points come from I’ve had the exact same shot, cleared everything green lights and all..and get z different score each time:/ ¿
Perseverance prevails…just like the video….phewwww that was difficult…
