Our non power-up strategy for this explosive level is to send leia north, and aim her tractor beam at the first large asteroid so that it lands on the tnt below. The resulting explosion should destroy all the pigs. The score in the video below is 93,300..

My strategy was to hurl the middle asteroid above the structure (the one that floats to the right of the small icy one) into the only metal piece. I aimed at the corridor the “trains” goes by, launched when the “train” passed and tagged the asteroid when the bird is above the metal piece. The explosions cleared all pigs and my score was 96350. Hope this helps.

I had trouble with this one until I finally realized that I had to let go of the big asteroid as Leia started to move past the outer “train” track area, so that the asteroid would get flung down with more force onto the planet in the middle. I had been holding on to that asteroid with a death grip the entire time, and then wondered why it wasn’t hitting the structure with enough force to break through to the TNT.
Duh.
Well, at least I have a little better insight into how to use Leia’s tractor beam…
this level is evil. pure evil. and have i mentioned this week how much i hate the crystal system? I have followed the darn video exactly…28 times. I don’t even have one star yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
94,340 Using this strategy! Thank you! @JackS I went through a lot of crystals too! What Junkenmetel wrote above you should help! I’m not even sure what made the difference on my last fling but everything started exploding earlier than I thought I actually made contact!
Ok I think I figured it out. My bird hit that metal plank that is next to the TNT and nudged it enough to tap the TNT which is why it exploded earlier than I thought everything should. Although this tap sometimes leave a piggy or two intact flying through space. BUT when it does pop them all your score will be in the 90,000+ range!
OK 96,410 using video strategy and releasing tractor beam before Leia leaves the train route area. Thanks for that tip Junkenmetel!
My strategy is simple: just hit the wooden plank just above the metal plank. No need to catch anything. TNT explodes and everything destroyed. Wait for half a minute to complete. I got 97500 with this.

86350 gave 3 stars. Catching the asteroid is harder than it looks, and when you do catch it and hits the bar…….nothing happens most of the time.

The structure isn’t on the planet. It’s in open space.
To be more precise – it’s on the planet without gravity field.
You can also use Leia’s tractor beam in the bottom part of the planet on the TNT and that will also cause everything to be destroyed. Make sure you hang on to the 2nd Leia on the sling so that more points will come before the level times out. The asteroid is not needed to 3 star this level.
I’ve seen several references to “holding” the next bird in the sling so that destruction can complete but I can’t figure out how to do that. Every time I hold the next bird, the level never times out. I’m on a PC. Does that make a difference?
– teddyman – you have to pull the next bird like you are going to shoot it… after everything is done then slowly put it back in the center of the slingshot and it will not fire.
Thanks Birdflinger, I swear I had tried that and the bird had just dribbled out of the sling. Worked fine like you said and added quite a few points to my score.

just shot Leila (without using her powers) strait into the planet as the train is in the back…..explosion and 94,000 points
Used this strategy with a clone bird, blaster and TD.
For all who DOESN’T noticed: there are 2 planets with gravity field… one above and one BELOW… so the thing is synchronize the TNT blow to “try” to send most debris in both directions… the gravity fields will do the rest.
Obviously, there is no need of PU’s for this lvl and is possible to get +100K with some luck.
ERROR: there are 3 planets… the other is on the right and up (more or less 2 o’clock) and it seems there is a 4th right-down but far away but not confirmed. So… 3 planets to send debris… better than 2.
