Angry Birds Star Wars Death Star Level 2-16 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars Death Star level 2-16 is to send Han towards the top “oink-commander”. Aim your blaster at the junction of the two angled steel planks of the top left structure. Your blaster shot must be perfectly horizontal to achieve the desired ricochet pattern: ricochet on top-left, bottom-left; bottom-right; top-right and detonate the tnt box on the other side.

This is without doubt my favourite level so far!
Genius mix of throwing the bird, using his action with timing and using the terrain to make the most of all of it.

Wow, some adjusting a shooting point and 2nd with 66.450. The main conception is clear. Little differences (non paralel shots) sometimes makes fun & 3* score (but not as high one).

I find this level a bit more challenging than the others so far, one has to fire from an exact position in order to get all the pigs with one bird.

I think that even if you dont hit the junction of the two angled planks, you can hit further up that top left structure and still achieve the result (wonderful to watch !). The key is to shoot absolutely parallel to the ground so if your first trajectory is not quite where you intended, have Hans shoot on the perfect horizontal and you might be pleasantly surprised

I found this level pretty annoying, until I got the hang of it! I normally play zoomed out but found that zooming in made this one a lot easier to get.

Funny how that works..it still amazes me..within 10 minutes of posting i improved from 122 spot to 47:)

@Kathy Yes it Is!!! This and the last level are as awful as I remember! Now I’m hoping for some ‘L’ factor to get me the heck out of here! I gave up on the last one for now, bored out of what little mind I have left! :/

I agree with @karen68 about this being a rather annoying level. Even after I got the hang of it I found it to be annoying. I prefer levels with multiple options for 3*; I think we have a much better chance of continually improving our scores (& for this reason I’m not really lovin ABSW, but that’s just me.)

I’m the opposite of karen68 on zooming. I am much more likely to play zoomed in rather than out. For me, on an Android phone some levels are way too difficult to get a precise shot if zoomed out.

It didn’t take too long to figure out my aiming point & I managed a 3* with an embarrassing 62150. After a short while, I apparently had more closely followed the video & tapped just about where the 2 pieces of slanted metal meet on the slant to the right of top pig & managed an above average score of 65140, which eventually improved with lots & lots of time & effort to 65650. I think the limitation of this “only 1-way to 3* level” is proven by the fact my mere additional 510 points moved my rank by 174 places.

Many many other times I’ve cleared all but the piggie on the lower left. I’d sure like to know what to do for 67k. I’d also like to request @gregger66 share the strategy.

@justpast40 funny, I returned to this level yesterday to see if I could improve a bit, & I’m back to my original assessment, it’s annoying. I agree, there’s a lot of levels that require a 1-bird clear, with a small point spread from average to top score. I’m used to seeing this in the first few levels of an episode (Poached Eggs is a great example) but there are a lot of them here. Makes your ranking on the leaderboard a bit deceptive too, as you can be tied with a whole lot of others and not too far off the top score.

I pulled this off slightly different, shot han at the lower left bird and aimed blaster up and carnage ensued. 3rd try with this method. 67k

I find it easier to aim the laser exactly horizontally if you shoot from farther away, after launching Luke to the left away from the pigs. Of course you can get a few more points by launching towards the structure and eventualy hitting something.

The most important thing I believe is to use Han’s body to take out the top left pig before firing, so that no fire power is wasted on the pig. Then I aim a flat shot at the top of the crease between the the two metal slabs on the front, angled side of the top left partition.

Ideally these shots deflect down and just catch the left end of the middle island with the three metal blocks. I know I’ve hit it right when the mustached pig and his two supporting glass blocks eventually all come crashing down on the lower middle island, destroying it.

I’d love to hear how 70,680 was achieved by @thealarm. It doesn’t seem like that much destruction can be generated.
