Angry Birds Star Wars 2 Escape to Tatooine Level P2-17 Walkthrough

One non-character swap strategy for Angry Birds Star Wars II Escape to Tatooine level P2-17 is to shoot the top-right platform with the rocket, deflecting Jango Fett into the first stack of hovering platforms. The chain reaction can clear the level in one go. The score in the video below is 152,250.

My strategy for this level was to get mad and threaten the first bird that if he didn’t get me 3 stars on the next try, I was going to give up and go play some candy crush. Worked perfectly!

Great strat! Got 140,700 on third try. ;-)

I used general grievous only. Went at an arc over the bullets. Used the light sabers to deflect the next set of bullets down onto the tops of the platforms. One bullet deflects into top floating platform. The rest of the platforms take out everything else for massive destruction.

@cali_mom Using General Grievous is a great strategy. Following your suggestion I increased my score to 161k!!!!

When initially trying to help narrow down the 3* minimum, I stopped at 146k per the video. I’ve not been back to any of these SW 2 levels except for Challenges. During today’s Challenge, I couldn’t manage to better my 146k, until I tried @cali_mom with the suggested “swap” by importing the Telepod & I managed an oh-so-embarrassing 4k improvement to 150340. As a (young) senior here on ABN, I find the idea of Telepods absolutely fascinating, especially when considering the fact I grew up BC (before computers)…I just wish I’d found the correct arc to get in the 160s … perhaps when I focus on all of the SW 2 I’ll have a better handle on these characters.

Managed to improve just under 3k to 153060 with 2-birder using cali_mom swap for 1st.

I imported General G. telepod per cali_mom swap & since level was not cleared, used the #2 in line as next per usual play. My 150k & 153k are terrible scores considering the almost 169k, but if you’re still in search of 3*, this may be an option.

My method was to launch Jango over the first set of platforms and fire the missile straight down onto the center stack of wood blocks. Jango should then crash into the top right platform as the missile causes the others to go off and scatter usually clearing the level.

I found this highly repeatable and much less frustrating than the video method which I tried for hours and generally ended in all the platforms clustering and blowing up without taking anything out.

This is the only way I was able to get three stars on this level (156,180). Thanks for the strategy!

This level is really more about luck than skill, I think, and I had none with the video strategy or the one posted earlier so I tried this: I shot Jango Fett at about 45 degrees between the laser blasts. I shot the rocket into the lower platform on the left side. Jango went up in an arc and landed on the floating platform in the upper right. After that it was all about how the platforms crashed around. It took quite a few attempts to get the timing right and did I mention the bit about getting lucky??? :)

One slight mod or at least a clarification that worked for me – fire rocket to land just to right of bone tower on left. This more reliably insured that the two on the left were smushed.

I think I fired Jango’s rocket at the apex, and Jango landed at the periphery of the top right platform. The next thing I knew, the two sides were cleared. Got 150k.

This is the strat that worked the best for me. It gets all the platforms into play at about the best time for them to cause max damage with one bird. Video strat worked well too but seems to max out at 52 or 53k.

I tried various strategies, but felt that after all I was influenced by the luck.
My high score aims at jango to 45 degrees and aims at the missile to 180 degrees (the lower left of the screen) of the position of jango.
The method is the bird beating against the laser with 100% of probability.
It is left to luck afterward!

My start point was 144K. I don’t remember but it was rather 1B. My best registered 2B/3* was 142.780. After return I pass 150K barier with 3 methods and 145 with 4th. This is a sign so many ways are possible there!

What must be done? A hit of Nest-Ship (NSG) with gun fire. Without it is extremly tiny possibility to finish (ok, I made this once but forget it ;). Descryption for other details:

Left set of Nest-Ships (LNS) have tendency to fly to R side so better to do something to destroy L side. Independent or rather little or more asynchronic activation of NS sets help to pass in style. Making upside down of all NS gives Bones Collector points.

You can go Over or Under shooting NSG. You must think about Y-shoot but by NSG hit by Missile or “The Bird Against the Machine” (BAM) like Thee Michelle and JTB wrote.

Scores/ways. By near Harden13 and Bird Leader oficial video. I try to go low (a bit lower the film) and shoot at first gap by the Bird and at NGS by Missile (few 149-151, 156, 151, 144, 152, 145K). Missile goes just over Java head. Aiming at first NS works too. And all this area.

By The-Michelle way – 153, 154, 146K. Next by combination of this way with my ingerention – 146, 153K. I go high, aiming at gap between LNS & RNS by Missile and at NSG by the Bird. By JTB – 145 up to now but I’m little tired.

One more interesting but crazy thing. I was always curious (not only there) why is a gap between first set of red shoots? Here I’m possible to fly between 1st and next 2 shoots. Fast start with minimal delay and step angle. 1B but 2* for now.

Same as video, thank you @birdleader, took a bit of patience but it finally worked. I launch the first bird as the far right basket descends, doesn’t really seem to matter where bird ends up as rocket (fired to gun) turns basket turns on its side and takes out the other baskets and, if you are lucky you get a chain reaction.

@maiasatara, I feel your pain, but I honestly haven’t worked on these SW2 levels, whereas it sounds like you’ve spent many many hours.

With the video I’d managed an embarrassing 146, but with cali_mom “swap,” I used a Telepod, I did eventually manage 150k. As you know, some of these ABSW 2 take so much more P & P than others…..sometimes taking a “long” break & switching to ABO, ABS or ABR helps reset the hand-to-brain ….. GL

I followed the @jtb strategy, shooting the rocket into the left tower. I got a pretty good result (around 128,000 before counting the 2 bonus birds) but not a one bird clear as I had a little piggy under the bones in the bottom right corner and the floating platform still intact. I fired Darth Maul into the laser stream from the platform and started him spinning before the lasers arrived. He redirected the lasers into the floating platform and that crashed into the little piggy on the right to give me a 2 bird score of 157,150. The moral of the story is, don’t give up after the first shot!.
