One strategy for Utopia level 4-29 is to use two Ice bird to freeze the bases of the three towers, which you can do by using the top left and top middle bumpers. Now bounce blue birds off the bouncers — likely the top middle and far right ones — to destroy the frozen blocks.

Sooo… any other methods? Can’t get above average on this one.
Put both ice birds in the gap between the first two towers following same trajectory. Manually explode the first about half way down. 50% of the time (roughly) both towers will collapse leaving a blue bird wipe up (taking out at least one lollipop). Collapse of two towers depends how much is ‘iced’ but I fluffed a third shot once when on course for 117/120k score (first two towers had virtually disappeared) – hence currently only 104k. :)
101 520 doing that, very easy to do actually, THS 3 450 520, score addict achieved xD thanks!
Congrats!
Ingenious!
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH. I could not 3 star no matter how hard I tried until attempting your strat. It took a few goes but eventually glory. Thanks again.
Thanks, @dasa! This level has been driving me nuts! I had tried just about every possible approach, and was barely able to get above average. When I finally checked here, I was able to get close to 100K in just a few tries with your approach. I would never have thought to throw the two ice birds in the same place–brilliant!
I will start this out by saying my score of 110,520 was a 3-bird triumph. I nearly had a 2-birder. But, like @fleshyskeleton, that little piggy on the right in the chair didn’t want to fall over. Hopefully you have the same luck I did on this one. With work and a lot of luck, you can get above average on this one. If you don’t play for averages, a 3* score is attainable with enough destruction. I played it fully zoomed out.
1st Bird – This one is going to be sent into the first set of bouncy stuff above the gravity field. You want your targeting line to be barely into the left side of the middle section. This sends Ice Bird down into the gap between the left and middle structures. If you do not freeze the right stone block at the base of the left structure, restart. (On my high score run, I actually broke the aforementioned block and the left structure collapsed into the middle one, taking out the right side of the middle structure.)
2nd Bird – You are going for the far bouncy thing above the gravity field. The targeting line doesn’t really do you any good here. But, it will look like you are going to be aiming at the bottom section of bouncy stuff. When you release the bird, you will hit the middle of the middle section or a little below it. This is the shot you want. This shot has to freeze the right structure and the bottom-right part of the middle structure. (On my high score run, the bottom part of the right structure got broken and the whole left side collapsed into the debris left over from the first shot. The only thing left standing was the section of the right structure holding the piggy on the lounging chair.)
3rd Bird – (My high score run used this bird as clean up.)This shot is clearly dependent upon your leave from the first two shots. If you didn’t break that little stone at the bottom right of the left structure, you want to take the Blues to the first bouncy thing. Aim a little right of where you did for your first shot and split the blues about the tip of a pinkie away from the bouncy stuff. This should cause a blue to hit the middle structure and cause a topple to the left taking out that little block at the base of the first structure. (Sometimes, a blue will get that block for you.) This should leave a very unstable right side of the middle structure and the right structure. If that is the case you want to send your…
4th Bird – …to the right floaty, bouncy thing about the same place you aimed your second bird.
5th & 6th Birds = 20k.
Sorry for the wordiness of this one, but the words hold the key. While I was coming up with this strat, I nailed a 106k run!
P.S. I know the “bouncy stuff” is actually licorice. I just like saying “bouncy stuff.” :D
Great Strat @rdnzlrips82!!! I got mine with the three birdies!!!
Thank you for the Great tips ;-)
Now I just need a score like yours ;-)
How long did it take you? Just curious because it doesn’t seem like it was that long when I sent you the PM.
Violation of Walkthrough Statute ABN 2.67-87
Dear AngryBirdsNest member @rdnzlrips82,
It has come to our attention that you have ignored our numerous warnings to refrain from using superfluous, overly simplistic language in your walkthrough write ups. By continuing to choose phrases such as “sparkly thingies,” “roundish object” and now “bouncy stuff” I’m afraid you’ve angered us thesaurus-thumping geriatric grammarians one too many times. As a result, we must issue this citation for being in violation of the above-named statute. Without these standards, many of our younger, more impressionable members will have their brains turned into a substance that resembles Lemon-Lime Jello. Or what you and your friends at The Bloated Pig might refer to as “jiggly junk.” Have a nice day. Aloha.
@surfcow: you sir, are one of a kind lol
Hahaha, brilliant!
LOL, good idea!
@surfcow…you are the Mark Twain of ABN. You really outdid yourself on this comment. I just got home from my H.S. Reunion (which one is not important) where we had a lot of laughs but this was the best one of all.
So, I copied and pasted this into Google Translator and this is the translation:
Dear rdnzlrips82,
I really enjoyed your breakdown of this level and appreciate all the help you have given me here and elsewhere on this site. Your dedication to writing successful strats is one of the main reasons myself and others visit this great site. Thank you for all that you do.
Sincerely
@surfcow
My reply is:
Thank you for the kind words, it is always nice to help another flinger! :D
Thanks for the laugh, friend. Your next drink at the BP is on me!!
Humble and helpful, I love it @rdnzlrips82, will be trying your strat and thanking you in advance (as you can see by my score I need all the help I can get)
@windwalker this video from @yuriyigolkin may help. The third shot is tricky, but with your skills I know you will have it in no time!!!!! Good luck!! ;D
yuri video, click
@windwalker two more things. If you scroll down to @pourpete ‘s second description of his strat, his third shot is easy to do. (My score 99,170 was with 4 birds) Also @burbman points out possible self destruction after first and second shot, worth noting
Ty @sunshine my friend I will head to the video and hopefully will be able to get some improvement in my score.
Grande Salutations, @surfcow. Thou art certainly a Great Master of Rhetoric! This thread really gave me enjoyable reading. I did have fun reading the strategy description by @rdnzlrips82 as well. I do agree with @duffy on the Mark Twain reference. If ABN ever decides to add another badge, I would recommend ‘Mark Twain’ for exquisite writing. If we have the ‘Truffle Shuffle’ and the ‘Buster Keaton’ awards, why not ‘Mark Twain’. Just a thought for our ABN Fearless Bird Guards.
Outstanding @surfcow! Bout time someone enforced the walkthrough statutes round heryah! What we have hererah is a failure to comuncate!
So glad my attempt at humor wasn’t taken too seriously or I might have been charged with impersonating an ABN administrator. Of course, [CENSORED per Executive Administrative Order #3252013] knows exactly what I’m talking about. Hahaha. Just kidding! Now if I had spent less time creating phoney citations and more time actually paying attention to some of these brilliant strategies, then I wouldn’t have had a below-average score for seven months. Thankfully I’ve been given another chance with today’s Challenge. Many kudos to @rdnzlrips82, @pourpete and others who were able to tame this beast. Aloha.
@rdnzlrips82 — Thanks for the PAT! Improved my score, but still slightly below average. What was the difference when you got your high score? I have never seen the stone block at the base of the left structure break.
1st shot took down left structure and left side of center structure. Good “L” factor. Aimed at middle of left bumper.
2nd shot took some of right structure, leaving easy 3rd shot. Aimed #2 slightly left of center on middle bumper.
3rd shot easy cleanup, bouncing off lower right bumper. Still lots of points left.
Thanks @rdnzlrips82 Once again you save me in space lol!
Great detailed strat got it first try:)
Nearly 3 years later, this strategy still works best! Thank you @rdnzlrips82, I got it with three birds, although with BB, I attacked the right side first since I was able to freeze most of the far right tower.
Here’s my video to demonstrate. I didn’t get a high score like yours, but above-average was good enough for me!
What would really help me, in addition to the written descriptions, would be to post the scores after each shot, as on the video. While the descriptions are certainly useful, it is the scores that also indicate if I’m in the ballpark.
@duffy – If you are logged in and have started using the Leaderboards to post your own scores, you should see the posters’ scores by their names. You can also go look on the Leaderboards for each episode and level to see how people are doing. You can see the Minimum required for 3 stars, the Average score and the High score (with the member name of the current high holder). I don’t see a score for you currently for this level so I’m not sure you are using the Leaderboard or just didn’t post for this one yet.
Thanks @GypsieBird. I do post to the Leaderboards but haven’t yet for this level. I’ll check out what you said but what I meant was that when, for example, rdnzlrips posted his strategy he would include the score he had, especially after his first shot. Some players do this & I find it very helpful. I don’t think you can get that info from the Leaderboards, although there is valuable info there too. Thanks again for your reply.
If you give me a little time (which in my world could mean 5 minutes, 5 hours or 5 days.) I can come up with some score guidelines for you @duffy. Just let me know if you still need them. I have a busy night of work ahead of me because we are having our third party in three days tomorrow. But, I would be more than happy to help you if you still need it. Just comment here or find me at the BP. Either/or!
@rd…I would be so grateful for some guidelines but it certainly doesn’t have to be immediate. I have plenty to work on untl it is convenient for you. Your offer is so utterly gracious; I can barely believe it. Thank you.
@rdnzlrips82… I sure hope hope you don’t feel the need to do this because I mentioned you in one of my comments. I was only using you as an example which is why I purposefully did not use an @ before your nickname. I wasn’t referring to you specifically or critically. I would feel badly if you thought that.
It is perfectly alright. I don’t mind helping people if they need it. Sometimes on my PAT’s I do that. However, this one was made for a friend and I just kind of did a quick work through. I didn’t really make it in-depth.
I will try to work it into my Agenda. It’s no big deal, really. I got the Helping Hand badge by doing this for other members. There’s no need for me to slack off about it. I will report my findings to you here as soon as I get them.
Thank you @rd.
@duffy After trying this level out about 50 times, these are the scores I have come up with. First we will tackle the 3* tracking.
1st Bird = 1,400 – 3k
2nd Bird = 3,000 – 6k
3rd Bird = 20,000 – 50k
4th Bird = 50,000 – 65k
High Score Tracking
1st Bird = 30,000 – 50k
2nd Bird = 50,000 – 70k
3rd Bird = 70,000 – 80k+
These numbers are not very legit because there is so much luck involved with this level. But, hopefully it helps somewhat.
You worked a miracle @rdnzlrips82 as my 108,630 will testify. You are the Mother Theresa of ABN and you should be nominated, not for a badge or a rank, but for sainthood. If sainthood cannot be bestowed by the Powers-That-Be, then I nominate you for every badge and rank that you have not yet recieved, which can’t be that many, and all those that ever shall be proclaimed in the future. Thank you, thank you,
thank you from the bottom of my heart. Oh! Did I say thank you?
Well @duffy I am glad I could help. No Badges or Rankings required. Just knowing I helped someone is reward enough. You came away with a heck of a score, too. Congrats!
Thank you.:D
WOW!! Thanks everyone so much for all these amazing strategies! My score has improved 10k so far. It’s barely brought me above average but I definitely will come back to this one soon and see if I improve! Thanks again! :)
Just got a three bird score for only 99,830. It brought me above average but it’s still not enough. I’ll be back to this level again someday.
102330 with 3 birds…boy was this frustrating….My 1st 3 star effort of 95,010 was just barley above average score by about 70 points, but as so many great shooters bettered their scores, I needed lots of H & L (help & luck).
Shot 1st freeze bird to the right of center on the middle licorice (bumper) freezing some of right side of middle tower & quite a bit of the right most tower.
Shot 2nd freeze bird slightly to the left of center of 1st licorice (bumper) freezing some of right side of left most tower & some of left side of middle tower. I don’t think the tower bases were frozen, but don’t remember : – (
At this point nothing other than a miniscule piece of ice had fallen & I’m pretty sure the score was less than 6,000. It really didn’t appear that any more or less was frozen this time than the other 10,000 times I’ve tried (ok a slight exaggeration as I’m exasperated with this level).
Having been stuck on my 1st score, I decided to try something different with the 1st BB, ok, I should say the only BB. I shot towards the licorice (bumper) at the far end, aiming just above the tallest part of the middle tower, still in the gravitational field, splitting immediately before hitting the licorice (bumper) ….. & watched in amazement while all of the towers slowly fell as the 3 split birds hit EXACTLY where needed.
I don’t think I’ve read that anyone shot the 1st BB this way, so I hope it helps someone else, but please go easy on the points because I don’t think I can survive another go-round with this level if the average keeps improving & exceeds my best ….LOL
113810 – 3 birds and did not hit any of the two lollipops.
It took a couple of days but I finally put together 2 difficult but repeatable shots with one “L” factor shot.
Shot 1 off top left bumper, described by many others above. This time the left structure and left side of center tower both collapsed. Difficult, but repeatable.
Shot 2 off center bumper collapsing remaining center structure and some of right structure. Also difficult but repeatable. This opened the middle of the planet for shot 3.
Shot three at lower right bummper. Sent just inside (along top of) the gravity field, splitting close to bumper. Lower birdlet into remaining right structure. I’m not sure about middle birdlet, but I think it took out some debris from center structure on the floor. Top birdlet was the key. It struck the very top of the bumper and took out BOTH lollipops. That was the “L” as I have been able to repeatedly take out the top or lower lollipop, but only once both.
Here’s a screenshot of the score:
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/pourpete/album/picture/883/
Good shootin’ @pourpete – congrats on your high score here and your very nice spot on the leaderboard!
Thanks @PlayDBird but we know there’s always another hot flinger coming along! ;-)
That’s exactly what I did PourPete only my third bird only got one lolly. Arrrgh! Now I’ll be trying over and over to get your 120k with both Lillie’s. The trick is to get that first tower collapse and then the far right bumper for the third.
Exactly@dougwo nicely explained! Good luck on getting both lollipops! It’s nice to see someone else getting close…
By the way, it may not be clear to folks that the AIM on the first shot is to the middle of the bumper. The ice bird actually ends up hitting left of center. You need the bird to bounce once and the strike the little protruding ‘foot’ of the left tower directly. I can get collapse about 20% of the time.
@pourpete thanks for you very helpful tip!! :)
@pourpete Thank you for posting your strategy. Been trying to get above average on this level for a long time. A few tries after reading your post and I have broke 100K !!!
WTG @jtwade. So glad to help!
Maybe – but your highs here and on 4-24 look very good!
Self destruct potential here (kinda) Chewing pigs are shaking frozen structures. Going to let this one sit for a bit after each of first and second birds to see what happens.
Well, this level is probably something I couldn’t imagine even in my worst nightmares. My original score was 86k and I’ve managed to increase it with 14k, but that’s pretty much it. I just can’t get that left tower to fall with the first bird. Couple of times I’ve been so close for getting 110k, but then that one evil piggie survives and laughs at me ;(
You shouldn’t complain @lisko, you have a very good score compared to mine, I was only able to raise my old score by 8k and also haven’t been able to get the left tower to crumble with just the Icebird, and my surviving piggy sticks his tongue out at me as well as laughing and sneering.
@WereWolf69 Haha, actually I’m not complaining, in fact I’m pretty much cursing this level to the lowest level of h*** (sorry for that). It’s just so hopeless, it would be nice to get even 10k away from the top score, but nope, not even close to it ;( And that one pig, I can swear that if I ever get it in my hands, he will go through a very painful death, haha :D Well, I think maybe I should try that level once more and just threat the pig until it dies :D
@lisko, you and I think very much alike, I also tried again but all I could get was another 2410 points, so you’re still the Champ to me, you can’t even begin to imagine my vocabulary when these booger swines get on my nerves.
Even the birds work against you on some levels, like when they hang around after they’ve been used, or they conveniently roll over and gently push the pig out of harms way, or go anywhere except where you’re aiming him, BTW, when the bird hangs around don’t fire your next bird until that one poofs out first, otherwise they lose some of their ooomph and hit softer. Well catch you later and Happy Hunting!
@WereWolf69 – Hahaha, Thanks, you made me laugh out loud with that comment! :D I’ve already got so sick for that one little pig which won’t die no matter what I’m trying! :D
And yeah, you’re absolutely right about letting the bird just *poof* ’cause I’ve noticed exactly the same thing! I’m beginning to give up with this level, in the evening I could probably open a cold beer and after drinking it = straight to bed so that I’ve got my batteries loaded for the next challenge :D Good luck to you to the next challenge (if you decide, you won’t be trying this one anymore) :D
Glad I’m not the only one having trouble. I think my birds have been over-indulging in donuts & licorice because they don’t seem to want to do their job. In about 3 hours of playing I’ve had the left tower fall on the 1st shot twice, naturally followed by me messing up the next shots.
I came in below average at 94k & have only topped that score twice, all towers were still standing after the 1st 2 shots, I just lucked out with excellent crumbling of the towers with the 3rd bird. I’m finding the 3rd shot really hard to nail down, most of the time the blues don’t seem to do much.
Good luck on this one everybody :)
Well methinks that the last two Challenges have been chosen to make me need to buy a new iPad because of the indentation now present on the top left of screen from constantly jabbing ferociously to restart! How did I even get my paltry, belowavg, current score!!
@karen68 & @Mumsie I have to admit that I gave up with this one. My mental health was on a real test on this challenge so I think it’s better to save some of it for the next one :D But hey, in the end I managed to get 14k more so I consider that as some kind of success :D
This is the first time in quite a while that I have worked so hard at the Challenge and not been able to even enter a score….. I wish I remembered how I got my birds in shape originally because apparently my birds have been eating the same donuts & licorice that @karen68 ‘s birds have been indulging in. I guess I will continue for a while yet. Maybe more bird exercise will help their lassitude.
@stocktoad that’s a pretty nice score you have to begin with! I think I’ve put in about 4 hours on this one between last night & today, & beat my pre-challenge score of 94k only 5 times. A little disheartening! I can’t decide whether to put the birds through their paces some more or preserve my mental health as @lisko suggests and move on.
I decided to take a break and move up one level to 4-30 just for the heck of it. In 10 minutes I got the one birder and upped my score by 7,000 points. Now I feel better.
@karen68 at least we’re not pushing boulders around for this challenge………I think that’s better?
@swelld good point! ;)
Wow. Think I’ll sit the rest of this challenge out. No success here. I wonder how I ever got the score I do have.
For the daily challenge I had a quick look at previous versions to see if this level has changed since its introduction in version 1.2.2 but it looks the same.
40 minutes gave me 109k twice and a several lower 100+ scores.
@pourpete ‘s strategy – the lucky collapse and third bird off the far bumper is the way to go for outrageous scores. If you don’t get things to collapse on the first two shots, you can still get 100+ scores by shooting the third bird to the middle bumper; aim a click below the second shot and split about midway.
many thx to many people for tips and details
first bird between the first two towers, break the bottom-right-stone from left tower
no activate
second near the atmosphere between the second and third tower
no activate
here a two-birder with 120k:
