One strategy for Utopia level 4-20 is fling the Red bird through the northwestern-most pig and hope for a huge domino-effect, clearing possibly all the pigs. The score in the video below is 115,800.

That explosion is so cool – like fireworks! This is a gimme level compared to some of the others….
Yep, this my favorite level, well….of utopia
@playdbird the 4th of July!! Goes with your rank, kaboom! ;)
This level looks like the Olympic Rings
Of course Utopia would have a Level 4-20, with all the junk food, candy and snacks floating around. This can mean only one thing. You guessed it: dentists from all over the world got together and paid Rovio mucho dinero so they would unleash Utopia and its sugary, subliminal message upon us unsuspecting lemmings. Party on, Wayne. Party on, Garth. Aloha.
P.S. How did I get such a high score? Man, I dunno. Like, I was all, “Whoa, this level is trippin’, dude.” And then, like, the red bird said, “Dude. Surfcow. Beeee the Birrrrrrd.” And then I was like, “No way, dude. Youuuu da bird!” And so I let him fly, toward the pink donut. It was, like, soooo amazing. All the other birds started squawking at me, so I was like, “Sorry, dudes. Bummer, huh?” I saw the score and I knew right away it was really high. I’m pretty sure you’re gonna like this level. Totally. Oh yeah. Which pink donut? Uhhhh, I’m pretty sure it was the round one. Later, dudes.
LoL @surfcow ;-)
Nice doughnut dartin’ dude, totally awesome for sure. That’s so weird…I aimed at a pink doughnut too..how did we both know to do that, pretty awesome stuff ;)
Best walkthrough strategy ever!
@BirdLeader, wow, high praise from the big guy himself.
OK, so I forgot to mention something about this level. I hope I’m not totally imagining this, dude, because that would be bogus. So don’t laugh, OK. I was staring at the round donuts and heard this trumpet and I couldn’t shake this really weird feeling. It was like, “Surfcow, aren’t you missing something?” Then I go, “Yeah, I am missing something! The XXX Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony. Oh no.” Must have been all those donuts I inhaled; I dont usually have conversations with myselves. Anyways, I swear this level has something to do with the Olympics. Aloha.
@Surfcow…Pure classic Surfcow! Any fake tips for me today? I think most of went for the pink donut but we didn’t come out with scores like yours. Congrats.
Actually, Rovio did tweet about it. I didn’t get it at first, but I somehow saw the connection. https://twitter.com/AngryBirds/status/229129576440287232
@surfcow…wow! What an honor to be complimented by BirdLeader – Big Bird himself! Now don’t let your head get as big as your tummy after feasting on all that praise. Great score (but I told you that already).
Yup, it’s an Olympics Level.
@surfcow‘s comments are outstanding. Too funny. I’ve noticed (dude) that this level nearly always concludes while damage and points are still accumulating.
@surfcow: DUDE! Great post – you might be needing to change your handle to ‘SurfDude’ now of course. I’m like….which pink donut? Oh, the round one! Then I realized there were too many to choose from and I tried for all of them and now I have a tummy ache! So Mahalo dude! hahahaha. I’ve tried over top and under bottom of the 1st yummy donut but it is like surfing for me – the tether keeps yanking my finger and causing the bird to go in a different direction than I intended. <>. I know I have 3 starts but, like with all good donuts…I want more. (I’m soooo greedy). Thanks for sharing in such a FUN way. Party On @SurfCow – Dude.
@SurfCow – Nice strat but more than that, thanks for the giggle!..
Careful guys, I heard they’re going to be requiring drug testing on any players who are suspected of sugar overdose!
Yep, it’s confirmed….the pigs are handing out pink slips….!
LOL @surfcow !!! On third attempt, I shot RB into pig’s left ear and KOWABUNGA! Pure “L” factor, but fun to watch. This level gave me the munchies, too!
muK :)
Back for challenge day. So far the reading has been more fun than the playing. (No improvement on my 121k yet as the big guy just refuses to perish despite a number of debris pieces giving him a shove. As for those worried about their fix, a number of sugar dispensaries have opened up around the country but I hear Colorado is especially sweets friendly.
Ok. Whine. I’m trying the over and the under methods and, when I can get all the pigs to die, I’m still 8-10k below my previous best of 121k. I can’t imagine what a good score would look like at this point. Once the fling is over, it’s all up to luck. I’ve tried all the spots but I’m going to go bald with all this lather/rinse/repeat business.
Not really much of a new strategy. Just a slight alteration but since I achieved the current (and I am sure briefly held) high score I’ll mention it. Toss the first bird around the top-side of the snow-ball planet such that he hits the mid-sized snowball, then bounces over the pig and hits the other mid-sized snowball. Not sure what then causes the larger one to go off at that point, but sometimes it does and then the chain reaction begins. Points were still racking up when the level ended.
Why do I have this sudden craving for doughnuts and candy?
@suicidesolution, your “over the donut”strategy seemed to work best for me. It was more reliable in getting all of the popcorn to pop and other general west side damage.
Congrats on the high score @suicidesolution. Thanks for sharing the strat too! I’m working with this one now. I’ve hit the medium snowball a few times (mostly the red bird just breezes by it) but still leaving the big piggie on the 2nd planet…using a 2nd bird doesn’t seem to bring up my score and I’m sitting below average right now. Your strat is sound and I’m going to keep on using it. Thanks!
By Gosh! Right after I posted above, I went back to flinging at the donuts! It worked this time and I just raised my score! Woohoo! Now at 124k+. I think some of us have realized the ‘magic’ in posting and whining about not having luck on some of these levels – because each time we whine and go back to the level, suddenly something works. LOL. Thanks again!
This strategy worked best for me too! Simple and sweet, thanks! ;)
This strat worked best for me too. I actually aim to skim the two small ice balls (12 o’clock) smashining into the mid-sized ice ball (1 o’clock). Red continues around, taking out the small ice ball, and finally into the large ice ball (4 o’clock). From there, chaos sets in.
Nice start SuicideSolution.
Sorry, should have been nice “strat.”
Alright @suicidesolution! Excellent score, my friend. That sneaky sweet tooth is courtesy of the sinister graphic designer who hatched this diabetic nightmare. Oh wait. The talented artist I’m referring to is @hayyie, an active member of ABNest. Nevermind. In the words of Bruce Springsteen, “Tramps like us, baby we were born to munch.” Or was that Homer Simpson? Sorry, my bad. Aloha.
Thanks Friend! Wish I could spring some spontaneous and appropriate lyrics back at you, but I’m too busy working on a dream about how to use ice-bird for a 10th level freeze out in Candy’s room. With all the candy around it’s hard to be a saint with the piggies. Once I’m done Growin’ Up…nah, I’ll just keep living in Youngstown.
Cool to know that @hayyie is the designer and also an ABN member. Love this community! Makes AB so much more enjoyable.
yep, @hayyie won a contest that Rovio put on. She came up with name and the candy/snack concept. Her drawing impressed them, quite a bit apparently. P.S. I guess that’s The Price You Pay… Lets hope we can Rendezvous again. Aloha.
Thank you for the kind words, @surfcow ^^
Sigh, looks like the Twymeister is going to have to change avatars again, this time to a funny looking little man in a white suit, carrying a white jacket with really really long arms, and calling, “YooHoo, @Surfcow” DUDE, they’re coming to take you away, hey hey!
@twylatime – they gotta catch me first. BTW, I got the munchies so bad playing this level I tried to eat my iPad. Bad idea. Alohahahahahahahahahaha.
Hey everybody, I realized that this level has something to do with the Olympics: The gravity fields are centered like the 5 rings of the Olympics logo. And like @playdbird said: “That explosion is so cool-Like fireworks!” There were a lot of fireworks from the opening ceremony! Rovio thought ahead to making a level that was somehow homeage to the Olympics!
nice catch!
i never saw that!
Wow, I can’t believe that wasn’t caught
@hayyie…congratulations on your design and winning of the contest. Great job. Soon all of us AB players will be fat as pigs!
@duffy ~ Thank you so much ^^ and haha xDDD I hope not and you beat down the fat pig instead!
Thanks I have tried lots of stargtyies for this level
lol, I just scored the top score (so far)
129490 – 1 birdie, just did like in the video, pure luck shot
Just posting to whinge at this level, and the fact that I’ve spent 3+ hours on it now and still not managed to get more than 114k. I started going over the top and this kept yielding 113k – then after 90 mins came on here to see some other ideas… now spent 90 mins going under and still no better.
With that said – I’m hoping it’ll work first time now!
Hahahaha literally 3rd effort after posting…
Top route 117k!
1 birder, only get 111140
I got to 113,xxx once, but I haven’t been able to get near it since and it’s driving me crazy. Every time I manage to clear the level, I’m way short on points. What I need is a couple of black bomb birds, that’d hook me right up.
I’m renaming the big pig Repulsar since it seems to have its own anti-gravety that pushes everything away.
I’m having trouble visualizing what @suicidesolution is saying in his solution. What pig is he talking about in his first toss? The one on the backside of the planet or the one between the 2 planets in space? The one on the backside seems to be unreachable since the bird gets taken by the middle planet’s gravity.
@ohforfive: Thanks for seeking clarification. Sorry my first description wasn’t enough. The first shot is over the planet with all the icestroids, the upper left planet nearest to the sling-shot. Fire the first bird such that it bounces off the top of the medium sized icestroid at about 1-2 O’Clock on the planet. If you miss the icestroid the red bird will go too far and take out pigs on the planet occupied by Repulsar. If you hit it just right the bird will bounce and orbit around the ice-planet over the pig at about 5 O’Clock on the that same planet. When your bird strikes the icestroid at about 6 O’Clock the chain reaction will begin and the game-physics gods are in your favor you’ll get a one-birder. If it doesn’t work (sometime Repulsor repels everything) just keep trying and you’ll get it eventually. I hope that helps! Good luck and please let me know if you have any more questions.
@suicidesolution Your description has pin-pointed exactly what I needed to do. While I haven’t 3-stared the level yet, I’m getting close. I have a problem getting above 84,xxx with 1 bird, which I think is the only way to get to 115,xxx points. Thanks for the clarity.
I’m not sure exctly what it is, but my first attempt after my last post got me 3-stars. Finishing a level after complaining about it on the board is something I’ve been doing through all the AB games. It’s very mysterious.
@ohforfive: Congrats on the 3-stars! Nice work. I’ve had the whine factor work for me too. Some cosmic connection between the ABN and all the AB games out there.
After providing the more detailed description yesterday I played the level for a while hoping to improve on my current score. Best I did was 124K using the same method, but certainly noticed a very wide range of results. Since you have the hang of the shot I bet it wouldn’t take too long for you to improve to 120K+.
Thanks @suicidesolution for posting that I’m sure I read it when I first did the level – still helpfull on the retry!
:)
Alright @rat9 what’s your strat for 131k?
@swellD, have you noticed the rotation of the three large icesteroids? Sometimes they rotate counter-clockwise and sometimes they rotate clockwise. Sometimes they rotate in the same direction, while at other times they rotate opposite one another with one or more barely rotating, if at all. Freaky, eh dude? I’m pretty sure the rotation, or lack thereof, has some effect on how the cookies crumble, or in this case, how the popcorn pops and where the ice balls bounce. Check it out. Aloha.
What’s the matter @swellD, not enough puppies yet? Good thing I have insomnia or I’d never have seen your question in time for the challenge. Your not going to be happy with my answer. I’d rather be good than lucky, but on this one, I got lucky.
If my memory is still functioning after all that sun here at the beach fried my big bald head, I shot almost full power to skim the two small ice balls at the twelve o’clock position on the upper left doughnut. He continued around the planet to explode the large ice ball. After a lot of “stuff” happens, I had a score of 87k+, then the large lower ice ball entered the party. What happened with him was pure luck. One piece cleaned up the residue on the middle upper planet. Another piece came back to the original doughnut and exploded the remaining ice balls which destroyed the remaining popcorn on the lower left doughnut. I think the third piece even went to the upper right doughnut and destroyed a couple of lights.
The third ice ball is the key to high scores. Most of the time the pieces don’t stay in the area of play. How do you get him to play nice? I truly don’t know. Luck, luck, luck.
Lmao @rat9 ! Thanks for the laugh and the details.
I just improved from 126k to over 130k on today’s challenge. Yay. Used same strat as our wise @rat6. I actually sent Red at full speed and he went over that larger boulder and hit the medium one on bottom of 1st planet. When it popped it sent a snowball up to hit that larger boulder and then the rest fell in sync. A piece of the popcorn on lower planet did bump the 3rd orbiting large snow-steroid and it fell to that lower right planet which really did garner additional points from popping more corn and cutting the grass. Not yet a new puppy, but getting raising my score is quite nice. :-)
Ok, caught a glitch (yes glitch) in my typing above message. I know it is @rat9, but darn my old eyes and fingers put a ‘6’ in his name instead. Still want to thank Mr. Rat for the strat and description. I think my former 126k was from that as well. Now back to flinging for 30 minutes then I have to put phone down for night. I don’t know why getting up for work has to interfere with flinging time. Ho Hum.
Thanks for not taking another one of my top scores @gypsybird. I’ve lost count on how many top scores these daily challenges have cost me. ha ha ha Whaaaaaa!
Great flinging!!!!
@rat9 – Not to worry my friend! You are still the Supreme Monarch of Space! AB Space is my favorite and I do the best on the levels from other AB Releases but I’ve noticed my rank has been bumped down several pegs by other fabulous flingers on here. Now I have to go back and do a compare and fight my way back UP – my goal is to get at least close to you and @burpie! Problem is that some of the Space levels have me totally bamboozled in reaching for that trophy (or I’m just still affected by Murphy’s Law). I’ve gone so far as try and attach a Japanese Lucky Golden Poo dangle to my iPhone! (couldn’t figure that one out so I just hold it once in a while and pray for luck).
When The Master speaks, one should definitely listen. Great strategy, thank you @rat9.
Thank you @rat9! Lucked out with your strategy.
I tried 3 different strategies and all were frustrating inconsistent in obtaining high results ( >110K). But it seemed like the one used in the video was producing high scores and was the one I used to get 123K. I aim to just skim the pig and hit the ice ball on the other side with a lot of force.
Sweet-Tooth Tip
Similar to video but different target. Aim at the middle of the icesteroid that rests just to the left of the only pig on the upper-left doughnut. This will, more often than not, set off a better chain reaction that will net you at least 120,000 points. I really shouldn’t be pointing out the subliminal messages hidden in these levels. A year ago it was the Olympic doughnuts/rings. This time around – let’s not forget what level this is: 4-20 – hmmm, what in the world could that green stuff be that is growing wild from the lower-right doughnut? Hint: the piggies on this level seem to have the munchies, 24/7…Aloha.
Not a tip, but a hunch. Could Terrence and the Big Fat Pig on this level be twins, separated at birth? Check out this screen cap: Separated.jpg Aloha.
@surfcow – lol, lol, lol,;-))))))) I must say I’m quite surprised you didn’t pick up on that the first time around on this level of 4/20…or perhaps you did, never-the-less it’s absolutely so obviously, elegantly, subliminally put there for us to enjoy ;-)
NOTE: Did you notice how the planet that the Big Fatty Lard Pig rest upon, looking quite satisfied and stuffed full, has no doughnuts, treats or popcorn on it!?! Perhaps it’s because he finished grazing on the wildly growing “green stuff” from the lower-right planet and moved up, ate everything in sight and is now resting quite happily on his lazy laurels! lol ;-D
I added an aim to a snowball of the size in a direction of 2:00.The red bird gets a snowball of the size out of order afterwards in a direction of 6:00 and 9:00.Two snowballs of the outer space were dropped by a snowball of the large size of the direction of 3:00.I already think that it is the luck of the draw afterward.

Thanks @thee-michelle, got 120k using your strategy. But then I fired the Red bird lower a bit, hitting the 2:00 and 3:00 snowball, and got 129k.
@pourpete and @rat9 both describe “skimming” the 12 o’clock ice balls. That aiming point seems to work very well. Let me clarify what the aiming point is. (at least I think I am describing the same thing) There are four small ice balls on the upper part. Go over the first one and the second one. Hit the third one. If you hit it too low it won’t work, the aim has to be near the top of the third ice ball. Then the red bird will roll down and set of the big ice ball.
@stocktoad, thanks to your astute observations and play by play descriptions I was able to raise my score by 1800 points. Keep up the good work old chap so that I may continue to reap the rewards. Again, thank you and Ciao.
That is an excellent description @stocktoad !
I agree with @stocktoad ‘s comments above. It is important that red triggers the bigger ice ball on the east side of the doughnut. If Red doesn’t set off the big ice ball, reset.
If you miss the 3rd little one and hit the 4th one, reset – you won’t kill the big pig in the middle.
I would just like to add the following comment: The trouble I am seeming to have, is with the important fact that the ice block in the bottom centre (the one between the 2 bottom “Olympic circles”)has to be knocked into the right bottom Olympic circle for a good score.
Many times it is either totally missed (reset) or it is just pushed slightly down (you guessed it – reset). I don’t seem to be consistent in getting that right.
The other thing that I found about that, is that in quite a few cases when I get the ice block to go into the circle, the big pig survives.
This is one of those trial and error levels. Patience is a virtue for sure.
What I have no patience with, however, is using improper words. Olympic CIRCLES? Seriously Jaydee??? *shaking my head* lol
I am finding that bottom ice block to be even more stubborn than the worst marmoset in AB Rio! It does NOT want to go into that ring!
Of course it could also mean that the good luck that I have been enjoying the last few challenges is subsiding a bit.
I know that @rat9 describes himself as a big old bald guy with fat fingers, but am I the only one who thinks of him talking like Templeton the rat with the voice of Paul Lynde from the original Charlotte’s Web movie?
Anyway……..if you are trying for a high score on this one, don’t forget the Ratly wisdom to shoot at “almost full power”. Less than full power shots are a @rat9 specialty in Space.
@stocktoad Not having any children, I had no idea who Templeton was. So I watched a few You-Tube clips of Fat Templeton the Rat. Ha ha ha ha ha
If you lower Paul Lynn’s voice a few dozen octaves and include the word “Fat” in your description of the big old bald guy, you’ll have me pegged. LOL
And yes, power is very important in Space. You can’t play without it. It’s as important as aiming.
@stocktoad @rat9
I also went for taking off a bit of speed for Red.
I was however not able to improve on 127k. Next time perhaps.
@rat9 – I absolutely regard AB Space as your legally owned dominium. Was wondering whether we should actually start submitting visa applications to visit your country (or shall I say space) of ownership? LOL
@jaydee I respect your opinion. I’ll look into how to format the visa application process. lol
@Jaydee untrue but plausible fact: Rovio once considered adding an IAP so flingers could pay a small toll charge ($0.99) to @rat9 whenever they passed through his territory. Rat’s lawyers demanded a higher fee, Rovio balked, words weer said, and someone filed a lawsuit. Last I heard, the whole thing is currently mucking its way through the court system.
Thank goodness there is humour in this walkthrough it at least brings me a smile while furiously flinging at the 3rd iceball , hitting it, skimming it and cursing at it!
@stocktoad ty for pointing out something I should have caught myself the tip from @rat9 saying ‘Almost full power’ bing bing bing !! K back to the flinging fury:/
Whhiinnneee
Man, I was playing this level, and da bird said “be da bird, you a friend of @surfcow, you are de bird”
And the liddl’ red looked, and said “Hey, you really are a bird, I thought you was a dude”
And just like like Surfcow I let da liddl’ bird go toward the pink donut. It was, like, soooo amazing. All the other birds started squawking at me, I saw the score and I knew right way, it was high. Oh yeah. Which pink donut? Uhhhh, I’m pretty sure it was the round one that @rat9 aimed at.
Sure, that rodent must be tripping totally out on something
That was too close @HunnyBunny. ha ha ha ha
Very commendable score there, @hunnybunny. Maybe it would be best, however, if you just stepped away from this level. We are all worried about you. I hope we don’t have to organize an intervention. Just because @rat9 is a lost cause doesn’t mean you can go tripping on pink donut dust. Good luck. And aloha.
Now I’m not one to complain about having to work for a good score, in fact I really do enjoy the challenge it presents. My starting score was 126600 on my Android phone & shortly after the Challenge started last night I managed a very small improvement on my iPad to 127250 per @suicidesolution ….. ok I thought, baby steps, I’ll do it in baby steps, but this morning before work I managed a very very small improvement to 127300 ….. but really Angry Birds Gods, only 50 points. It’s wrong, it’s just so so wrong ; -).
Calm down @justpast40
Stroke the Purdy puddy tat. We can’t all be the “Rat”.
