Same first shot as the video, but got a lucky one-birder when some little piece of debris from the ground antenna or its base flew up and hit the tnt. Have tried to repeat this, but that antenna and base are almost always competely destroyed by the bird flying through it.

Great score @hallieginsb! I’ve had that happen twice, but it didn’t get a 1 birder either time. :-(
I see other 170k+ scores so others (@dedenamik and @dmsral et al) must have pulled this off as well.

@hallieginsb — Congrats on the high score. I haven’t had much luck with a 1 birder or even a 2-birder. It is the antenna base that can fly up and hit the TNT (the box below the base can explode), but the few times that happened, one of the 2 pigs with the TNT floats NW and the layout looks worse than without the TNT exploding.
@dedenamik @dmsral — Is hallieginsb’s strat how you got your high scores? Any more tips?

@captrec and @mvnla2 thanks for the verification that something can fly up and hit the tnt. This was one of those instances where I played all the way through all the levels, then went back later to post scores. When I realized I had the top score on this level(at the time of posting), I had some trouble remembering exactly how it happened, but I knew it was a one birder – a very lucky one at that!

I’m so confused by this. I had three scores on a one bird shot and I got one star, every time! , I figured this must be a level that needs more birds used for 3 stars, but then I read y’all have said a one bird is a lucky shot that’ll give 3 stars. How come this didn’t happen with me? I’ll come back to post what happens and my score when I get a one bird and one star.

@Katherine-Fox Don’t feel bad, I’ve had several one birders with only 1 star also:( Or my satellite box goes up and hits the tnt and my pigs float off into space as @mvnla2. . it’s all just repeat and pray for that lucky shot sometimes, unfortunately it seems the luck sticks more to others more than some :( Don’t give up. .Keep flinging and enjoying the Nest community. it’ll come around to you for sure:)

I’m with @kathy on this @katherine-fox. I’ve hair the TNT with the first shot a dozen times and always the dreaded drift and a crummy score. Getting 3* is relatively straightforward using the video strat. Getting above 170k is all about persistence and luck. May you have lots of both!

I haven’t scored as high as @hallieginsb yet. BTW, Great score. But I have achieved quite a few 170k+ scores going a different way.

I aim at the intersection of the two rocks in the right boulder group. Then activate very early. You don’t want the boulders to travel to the right much, just go up and lightly tap the Egg. All the rocks between the planets get iced and some take care of the boulders on the left planet and some take care of the pigs in Space. All done.

Believe it poor not @rat9 I’ve been trying that strategy for a while:/ but I’m getting more points d with the 2 bird method. is this how you got your current score? cuz i can’t break 170k either way :(
gotta resort to the Whhhhhiiiinnnneeeee !

I’ve had one and two bird 170+’s using the @hallieginsbinsb method Ma. But my current high was a one-birder shooting at the boulder group.

Not a top score, but quite close to it, moreover, I failed twice to get it from the following trick:

Launch Bomb toward pile of debris (i.e., same as video). Arrange yourself that it becomes buried under it, and activate so that one debris fly to rectangular shaped brick above. Debris has to fly really fast and hit brick slightly off center, to the right of it (orange line, very difficult part as activation window is extremely small, i.e., it partly depends on luck). This rectangular debris now must head toward eggy thing, which again it must hit off center, this time slightly to the left (dark yellow line). It must must go too fast but rather dock there before egg explodes. You need this rectangular brick for this job because debris from the initial pile reach the egg too fast and break on impact. Rectangular brick, on the other hand goes much more slowly and does not break on impact.

Then, because it is at 7:00 wrt egg, this brick will drift south west, sending the still undamaged double bubbled contraption down into gravitational field. You then have to hope that once iceroid had been activated after egg sent it into right gravitational field, one shard goes into the left gravitational field and burst every remaining (usually large) rocky parts there, AND that another pop the big 10 pigs bubbles (or, alternatively that some debris sent by Bomb did the job, but I never got this to happen when hitting the rectangular brick).

The picture below shows what you need to do. Don’t expect this to happen very often, and even if it does, the next two steps described above are unlikely to happen simultaneously. My best failed attempt left me with 98k, 3 remaining birds and the unpopped 10 pigs bubbles, i.e. a 178-179k potential score. My best succesful attempt got rid of all pigs, without ice shard into left gravitational field, so that the two big boulder were mostly undamaged. Probably 180k is possible there, but only if you master Bomb activation, which at the moment is beyond my ability.

My ability did not improve since my last post, so I relied on brute force to score 177k after a loooooong flinging session. Unsure I will come back to this one anytime soon.

I just sent the bomb bird into the pile hoping that some debris hits the eggy thing or one of the icy stones, no special strategy. After an hour or so I got very lucky and all that happened what @sglouk described (didn’t read it before but now I understand how this level works). The shot was almost a fail but finally some small piece hit the 10 pigs bubble and the score rose up to 147k.

Very lucky 1 birder for 179K. Just like the first shot in the video, but waited for the pile to topple to the left before activating. Pretty much as described by @sglouk, 1 stone from the pile hit the brick to the left of the 2-pig bubble. This brick then floated up and activated the egg, touching the surface of it at about the 7 o’clock point. The shock wave then redirected the same brick southwest to nudge the boulder toward the planet. The structure stayed in one piece and was dragged into the gravity field destroying everything. Meanwhile the shock wave sent the upper structure (also intact) into the other planet. Like I said, a really lucky shot considering the frustrations described by other flingers, as I got this on about my tenth attempt. Good luck everyone!

Alternative strat. First bird straight up to the loose big boulder left of the two pigs with the tnt attached. You want the bird move a little to the right from the collision with the boulder. Let the explosion do the rest. Just as difficult as the strat from the video but a 1-birder is also possible.

Space Eagle walkthrough, with 1 sardine can — Solar System level 10-8 (Europa)
https://youtu.be/RgHl0G-4jNQ

Make the first (bomb) bird reach the pile of stone blocks in the lower planet, exploding to fling some of the blocks into the bubble that is full of pigs. The next shot is a sardine can: call the eagle near the leftmost “elbow” of the claw by two pigs. Results vary and you may still have to use a third bird to finish any remaining pigs, but this strategy is highly efficient.

Feel free to discuss this level’s feather strategies here!
