One strategy for Red Planet level 5-1 is to launch a Red bird into the base of the ice tower. This level is pretty simple, and you just need a little extra destruction to earn 3-stars.

The geyser or whatever that thing is actually helps up to speed up the bird and furthermore creates a little ”bend” too in the scope so make sure to use that geyser properly.
I got 42350 one bird. Strategy: Launch aiming in between lowest horizontal ice and the squared ices.
What a fun first level. Best tip for this level? Restart, restart, restart :)
(Anyone else shot the Red Bird at the least amount of speed possible into the Geyser? He goes straight up!)
I aimed it between the coal and the ice within the lower blocks that contain coal. So the bird cracks the icecublicles and the coals fall down.
1 bird following the written description. Played it before the video was up.
I pulled back on the sling and then reduced power. It seemed to give the bird a more direct angle of attack on the structure instead of the loopy curve. I aimed at the glass/ice plank on the bottom of the structure. I can squeeze quite a bit out of it and have had as little as two ice squares left.
I sent red bird straight to the geyser right at the hot yellow bubbles that are bubbling up causing red bird to shoot to the base of the ice and the extra force from the geyser provided nice destruction. I got all the ice and ice blocks excpet one single ice plank remained. Here’s a screenshot of the trajectory and very little remaining debris.

Ty @lesleyg ..psstsst your on fire..lol and very brave for leading into.the hot geyser …however ..I can’t get it!!* stomps feet..* I’ve tried all of above and am 100 pts under average…is there a special angle you aimed..I tried rd’s above..worked pretty good..don’t want to bothers him on his vacation only in emergency situations ;) ty for strat..and keep leaving those bread crumbs my birdiies are hungry for revenge;) LOL
lol @kathy! I know it’s hard to see the dots in the screenshot against the yellow but if you look real close you can see my “dot” lines and I literally aimed right at the bubbles that are coming out of the geyser, almost horizontal really but just a hair lower. Besides that…I think there is a lot of that “L” factor” to get as much of the ice to break too. GL..I know you can do it!!!

44,190. I aimed so the bird hit the lower (left) hollow blocks just about in the center. Lots of lucky crumbling of the ice including the last piece just before the level timed out for 100% destruction.
@dark-cloud do you mean the bottom block with the fat pig or the 2 blocks above with the idk what they are ? I know its been 2 years lol but taking a chance your still around?
@kathy yes it’s been a long time and I haven’t played since I got a new phone at the end of 2012 and I never did figure out how to transfer my AB data to the new phone. But I’m pretty sure I meant the 2 ice blocks with the brown things above (or to the right) of the fat pig.

Basically did a similar shot and used the choked up and non choked launch from the sling. The best strategy for this level is patience. Started about 40K and just kept fling’n. The “L” factor does come into play with the fall of the ice boxes and stones.
Rised from 42.590 to 43.670 by shortening a pull back of RB.
Fellow citizens of Birdverse, don’t despair! There is hope for a puppy or two on challenge of the day. Certainly the situation looked very grim to me as well at first sight but I subsequently discovered how mistaken I had been. Now then, I have not yet been able to quite reach the goal but the video below proves it to be possible with 1 piece of glass remaining at 210 points from current top. If we throw an all out attack here there will surely be puppies…

Still same shot as @micromax video. The shot needs to be very precise: Aiming dots at the outer middle of the small black stone on top of the heap at SE. Loosing a few feathers lightly touching that south rock,hitting higher than the dots indicate.

I totally agree @micromax. I’ve been using the same strat all day and slowly increased to my current score. Needs lots of patience and perseverance though, as the far pig survives more often than not, and then the blocks don’t always fall right. But if you keep flinging it will pay off. I’ve had numerous scores over 43K, some in the higher ranges. Surely there will be a puppy or two?!
Well @micromax has given us another perspective. I’ve yet to better my 43560 obtained with the higher aim shot, but I came within a few hundred on iPad, perhaps it’s better on Android, so I’ll give the old phone a try.
BTW, I tried to download/purchase for my iPhone & it’s no longer in the App Store, at least here in the US. Does anyone have any info on this being pulled?

I kept on flinging for a few hours after this and beat previous top score many times, without being able to improve my personal best. A few points are probably there, although it is probably worth the time you’d need to spend to get them.
not enough for the challenge but if any help was using micromax video strategy, clipping the first part of the planet. just missed the clip fractionally and got 44,030 getting higher scores by missing the clip.
