Red Planet bonus level S-11 is unlocked by 3-starring levels 5-1 through 5-10 of Red Planet. One strategy to 3-star this level is to send the first Space Egg into the north-central pile of small asteroids. Depending on the destruction, target a pile on the west and a pile on the east of the level.

Another way is to first aim for the last set of asteroids (top right corner), then the middle one (as in the above video) and at last (if required) to the asteroids at top left corner. The more asteroids you destroy, more points you get.
I definitely prefer going for the far right pile first, as well. It is the trickiest shot to get right and has by far the most variable results of any of them. The aim you need is almost exactly in the center of the gap between the first two gravitational fields. Cross your fingers that it doesn’t hit the flying pig, and let the egg activate on its own. If you get it right, you’ll know it immediately; it will hit the pile near where it has that “corner” and will then roll right up next to the pig from the right. This causes the vast majority of the pile to be sent either directly into the lower planet or into the path of the geyser, causing massive destruction. Look for 75k+ with three or so pigs left.
In a perfect world, the pig on one or both of the remaining rock piles will be popped. If this is the case, send it to the spot where the pig had been sitting. If it’s the near pile, activate immediately; if it’s the middle pile, let it roll to the middle to activate on its own. Whichever of these shots you take, there’s a good chance that all pigs will be popped, so fairly quickly use the third egg to make whichever shot you didn’t make with the second egg. Be warned that the bottom left pig survives annoyingly often, but you should be able to get it eventually. This strategy is definitely good for 150k+. I haven’t quite gotten there yet myself, but it took me less than twenty minutes to earn 149k this way.
That is a very good method you have described @austinrhl, I was able to up my score by about 18000 points with it, thank you.
Great strat, @austinrhl !!! I was stuck at 147k until I read your post. Thanks! After a couple of hours playing with it tonight (at work :), I came to the following conclusions for a super high score. I’m sure there are other excellent strats, too. Here’s the “how to” for my current score:
1) Launch the first egg into the top-left pig’s ear–what fun! Manually trigger the egg so that the pig and its pile of charcoal briquettes are “sucked” downward into the bottom-left pig and its ice pit. Your score should be between 40k+ and 60k+ depending upon the number of other pigs you popped. Wait until the “dust” settles and the score tallies. Don’t be impatient. Goal: keep debris within the gravity field(s) for most points because any debris that escapes is worthless;
2) This is the most difficult shot and seems to require the most “L” (luck) factor. It is indeed the most frustrating. !@#$% :) As AustinRHL described above, launch the second egg “exactly in the center… between the first two gravitational fields.” If the top-right flying pig (or other debris) is still there, then timing is most important and you’ll have to zoom out (iPhone) just enough to time your launch properly. With practice you’ll learn to launch at the proper moment. Goal: second egg will fly UNDERNEATH the remaining top-right flying pig (or other debris, if any) and end up somewhere in the top-right pile of charcoal briquettes AND roll as far west (left) as possible before self-detonating. Do not manually trigger. Goal is same as Egg #1: keep debris within the gravity field(s) for most points. Once again, wait until charcoal briquettes have a chance to do their thing, the “dust” settles, and the score tallies. You should have 105k+ points after the second egg. If not, consider a reset and start over, otherwise;
3) Aim the third egg just over the top of the remaining top-center pig’s bald head but UNDERNEATH any remaining debris. Timing may come into play once again. Notice all the charcoal briquettes on both sides of the remaining pig. Goal: get the egg just left of the pig and let it self-dentonate to suck up the pig and both piles of briquettes for most points, otherwise, manually trigger when the egg ends up on top of the pig’s head and hope for the best.
For a super high score, you’ll need all three eggs and the “L” factor. I can score 140k+ in perhaps 75% of attempts, 150k+ in perhaps 3% of attempts.
muK :)
Your comment is to good. Following the instructions there are no pigs left after 2 birds. But it’s really fun, thank you
Thanks so much for this strat @dseufert Was stuck at a dismal 4k under average until I tried your method! 2nd egg is hardest as it kept rolling east when it hit the pile. I found if I aimed slightly higher than center it landed in a better position.
Thanks for the great strat @dseufert & @austinrhl!I kept improving my score from 142k to the current 151k. I may try to improve some more. I like to shoot at the top left pig first and hope that the debris will clear a path to the top right pig. I see what you mean by the “L” factor Muk. I needed plenty of it. Now if only I can get it 3 times in a row!
ty @dseufert I know the thanks are 12 months old but still appreciated your very detailed aiming guide, good advice never gets stale lol
The secret to any Angry Birds level that frustrates you: If the order of your shots is not working, do them backwards (reverse the order). I can’t tell you how many 3-stars I got this way. :-)
I too went for the far right first and let it roll towards the pig and detonate on it’s own. Then I sent second Space egg at the first group and manulally detonate so it doesn’t roll too far. I did the third one a little differntly though. I aimed it to come in at a low left angle by the right side of the geyser opening. It seemed to roll to the middle. If the pig is still their, I manually detonated it so it didn’t roll too far. If that pig is gone then I just let it settle in the middle (where the pig was)and explode on it’s own. Thanks @austinrhl and @dseufert for the tips ;-)
Thanks to everyone who shared their strategies for his level: AustinRHL, Muk Hummel, AngryAdvisor. I was fighting with this level trying to break 150K unsuccessfully until I came to this page and read what you smart people had to say. The main thing I learned is not to activate manually the egg sent to the right pile, but to let it detonate on its own. This made all the difference, and I was able to improve my score almost by 10K. I am still not quite sure how to get the egg to the middle pile so it lends to the left of the pig. It seems to tend to lend on the right side no matter how I send it. I find that sending the egg closer to the fire causes it to lend to the left sometimes (may be once out of 3-4 times) and this leads to better results. Again, it should be left to self-detonate. With the left-most pile, I got the best results by sending the egg to the pig’s eye (or if the pig is no longer there, to the place where it was sitting) and detonating manually.
reduce power by half to land on left side of pig, got my high score first tried this
I went for the furthest pile first and then the closest pile my score was 137750 … shoot straight through the middlw to get the far side comingback at everything!
austin RHL – thank you! Without your advice I would still be struggling. Going for the far pile first was the key for me.
Launch the first egg into the top-right pig.
Launch second egg into the top-middle pig.
Launch third egg into the top-left pig.
https://www.angrybirdsnest.com/members/can-attila/album/picture/2883/
I have gotten the exact strategy that got me 155,***, with potential for another 10k.
Shot 1: Aim as close as possible to the bottom gravitational field (without hitting it) and release the egg as the top-right helmet pig is just about to start travelling southwards, should be around 70k+ with bottom-right pile of glass and pig destroyed (they might not be destroyed initially, but the stones will travel back around and destroy them).
Shot 2: Aim for the very small gap between the top-left pig and pile of stones it is sitting on, explode the egg on impact. All of the stones should destroy the bottom-left pig and glass (this could not be 100% required, but it will definitely help)
Shot 3: Zoom right out; Aim somewhere between the two bright stars right next to each other, the egg should stop to the right of the top-centRE (or centER for Americans;) pig.
The end result should be most of the stones destroyed and the possibility of 160k,
good luck my fellow nesters:D
A few hints on this level (part of them mentioned before):
– if 1st egg to the middle upper section aim as followed:
: zoom out and aim to the little starright beyond the volcano
: for the strength take the half way to this star
: bird will bounce right left of the piggie
: accelerate the egg or do not…scores about 70 to 80k
– wait for all boulders to settle its movement, to gain rheir scores
– second egg aim between the two front speheres in full strength
: depending on the floating birds, you have to fling, when the upper pig is about to reach its highest floating point
: egg will hit right of the upper right pig on the boulders. If you´re lucky the egg touches the pig gently and falls right from it, then accelerate directly, for you get the right angle for the boulders, on the downward spere
– wait for the boulders to crash, BUT…..do NOT wait with the third egg, if all piggies are down. To get enough point you have to make some more boulders crash.
– the boulders from the right most upper nest will find a way to the left down icenest, blocking that, which gives you a low score with the third bird.
– so, third bird aims to to left most bouldernest. If theres a piggie left, aim left of its “ear” (as mentioned before). If this piggie has gone before, there should be a slight bowl. Aim there, but accelerate the egg before it touches the bowl, nor to soon, for the boulders will not hit the left down bouldernest.
Sometimes this is quite an chilling level, with much time to contemplate, but sometames it gets a little hasty, when the left icenest is going to be blocked, or the last piggies down, before you fling your last egg.
I quite like this level.
@liontooth -thank you! The is the strat that moved me out from below avg to #6 (for now) on most improved in today’s Challenge!
Thanks @liontooth :) exactly as you said !!
I didn’t do anything radically different, but here is a guide for getting scores over 155K.
First shot….to the far pile. You need to have the egg touching the right side of the pig when it implodes. I think the easiest way to do that is about a 3/4 power shot right down the middle. Now….after the dust settles, look at your points and add 5,000 points for every pig still alive. You should be around 90K. (95K is very good) If you aren’t at 88K reset.
Second shot….to the middle pile. You need to have the egg touching the left side of the pig when it implodes. I think the easiest way to do it is about a 1/2 power shot. As long as you have gone this far, you might as well shoot the 3rd shot regardless of the score, but again look at your score and add 5,000 points for any remaining pig(s). A good score is 130K Anything over 135K is really good.
Third shot….is pretty obvious, but it may have to be hurried if all the pigs died with the second shot. Also, this is the only shot that should be manually activated.
@Stocktoad I was curious why you activate the third shot? If you shoot just above the pigs eyebrow, it sticks in place and you can let it self activate. Might help your score. I was only able to get 161400 today. No luck on my side.
Thanks for the details @Stocktoad! It has already helped tremendously (6000+ points so far)!
I’m wondering if you might be able to give some more specific aiming/timing tips on the first and second shots? I’m finding with the first shot that reducing the power has totally jacked with my timing (I was shooting full power and releasing just as that top right pig disappeared out of sight fully zoomed in). I got lucky with my current score, but I’m not so consistent now…
On the second shot, where abouts are you aiming at 1/2 power to get the egg to land on the left side?
Thank you again, and congrats on the sweet score!
Hey @rat9 You know I never even tried not activating the 3rd shot. It seemed like I needed to aim it depending on what was where. Thanks for the tip! I’ll give it a try.
@rubeeinthesky I don’t know if I can help or not. All the platforms seem to be a little different with the backgrounds. For the first shot I go right through the middle of a star that is about 3/4 of the way to the where the circles are closest together. It is as far as I can tell, right down the middle. For the second shot I go just on the inside part, but still touching, the star that is just above and a little to the left of the first one. As far as timing, when I started using the 3/4 power shot it was so unpredictable that I just don’t worry about it and reset if I hit the pig
@Stocktoad very helpful indeed! I think I finally have the timing down for the first shot with 3/4 power – I release when the top right pig disappears from view. This *usually* results in the egg landing right between the ears of the piggy on the far right pile.
It took me a bit to figure out which star you were referring to for the second shot, but now I see that it is the one just left of the one that is right outside of that top left atmosphere.
Thank you also for the point ranges – also very helpful!
@rat9 I didn’t realize that the egg would “stick” to the pig as you described, but it works perfectly (when that pig happens to still be there)!
@stocktoad thanks for your excellent description of the 3 shots. I find reduced power shots tricky, the tracking line likes to wobble a lot but they worked better for the 1st 2 shots.
I think I sent the 1st one more at about 2/3 power, aiming right through the bright star in front of the slingshot. I fired just as the pig above the far pile started to move down (away from the pile). It’s hard to see the line against the background but here’s a screenshot anyway. It’s zoomed out on ipad.
http://angrybir.de/1i8ndcY
Great tip about the scoring too, 90k+ after counting the remaining pigs is ideal.
Half power is good on the second one, thank you @kelani for the suggestion of 1 dot inside the field. There is another bright star if you aim at about 2:30 just outside the gravity field that I tried to aim through.
@karen68 Very nice score there, and nice 1st shot! I’ve been aiming level and doing OK, but I think you and @stocktoad have a better shot. Mine leaves ~12 stones. Yours=5-6.
Two questions if you remember:
1.Did you land to the left or right of the pig?
2. Where was that in-your-way helmeted pig at in his cycle when you shot? (Hope nobody takes that the wrong way) :)
@kelani the egg landed to the right of the pig. At reduced speed I had it actually hitting the top of the pig & then rolling to the right usually with the antenna buried in the stones. If it landed to the left I reset.
As for the timing I waited until the pig was all the way up, closest to the pile. There’s a very slight pause before it moves back down & I let the egg fly at that pause.
The shot got a bit easier with practise but didn’t work every time, the L-factor definately comes into play a bit. There were many times where I had a great 1st shot score but then the 2nd was blocked by a couple of stones hanging in the upper gravity field, or sometimes even the pig there survived. Still, a great challenge level :)
@Karen68 It’s weird. The only difference between your shot and mine (other than my aiming 3 pixels lower) is the antenna’s direction. Landing spots & piggy head bounce are identical, but my shot throws more more stones into space, whereas yours sends them into the glass on the opposite planet. Tried that 30x and improved. Everybody: Use karen’s 1st shot! :)
#1 Pile 3. Fire horizontal, at full speed when the pig above the pile starts the ‘moving towards the pile’ part of his cycle. Correct trajectory will make you audibly hit the grav field of the bottom planet you pass over. Your trajectory won’t change. but you will slow a bit, pass under pig, and come to rest right next to the pig on the pile. Auto trigger egg. If for some reason the debris gets slung to the right and off into space – reset.
#2 Pile 2. I use the different colors of the background as a reference. You want to aim generally at the right of the geyser. Using the background colors gives me a triangle I can sort of remember, but even so, it’s tough. Fire half speed. you want one targeting dot inside the grav field. This is a pain of a shot, and takes practice. You want to land in the valley in the center of Pile #2, to the left of the pig. If you land on the right, reset. Do it right and you will have 110-120k or more after this shot and very little debris left in the center valley.
#3 Pile 1. Simple, full speed over the pile, flinging blocks onto the glass blocks and pig on the opposite planet.
I suspect the difference between my score and #1 is some refinement in shot #1.
@kelani I guess I’ve you to thank for this challenge. I’m excellent at shot one and three, but have yet to master two. Ever onwards and upwards, as they say, following your excellent strat, as normal on challenge days
@hunnybunny Glad you like it. Most everybody else wants to put me in the stocks for it. I didn’t know it was recently challenged.
Shot 2 is hard. The best way I can describe it is, look at the stone pile to the left of the geyser. Draw a vertical line from the leftmost stone, down to the grav field. This is where you want your egg to enter. You can also aim at the right side of the geyser, where the stone pile begins. Whatever’s easier. :)
Speed is everything. On PC, the right speed puts the last aiming dot on the grav field boundary. I dunno if that translates to the smaller screens. My best guess is fire around 1/2 speed. Unfortunately, too fast AND too slow make the egg land to the right of the pig. Usually, if your egg flies back into space, you’re aiming too far left, and/or WAY too slow.
All I did was practice the aim point until I got it down, then tweak the speed using any visual reference I could fidn. Lots of luck!
@kelani irony obviously lost on you lol
@hunnybunny wow, apparently. I didn’t wake up completely today.
Maybe the wrong place to ask, and definately no offence:
why ist this level again on the todays challenge?
The 5th of march ist not quite far away from now.
Just curious ^^
Levels for the daily challenge are now being chosen by users.
Thanxs ;-)
Seems this level has a fascination, i can not share ^^
Dunno if anyone else did also, but I submitted it by accident in a list of space challenge levels. Sorry about that.
It may be hard to get a puppy, but the key to it is posted right here in the notes by at least two different people. 3 perfectly repeatable shots.
