Golden Eggsteroid #3 is located on level 2-13 of Angry Birds Space Cold Cuts. Zoom out to see the Golden Eggsteroid in the brush on the planet below the slingshot platform. Launch the Lazer bird backwards, then redirect him into the Eggsteroid to snatch it. Once you hit the egg you’ll immediately be transported via a wormhole to the level, which pays homage to the 1970’s video game Breakout. Anyhow, if you need help, the video below shows the location of the Golden Eggsteroid on level 2-13 and how to pass Eggsteroid level #3 (E-3) with 3 stars.

instead of calling this one Breakout, this one looks like Arkanoid to me.
Pretty much the same thing
Arkanoid was in the mid-80s and a ripoff of Breakout.
Tip The third block in from the left, and the fourth block in from the right both yield tomatoes that give 3000 points.
Also, I’ve found you can often get a higher score by using two birds, with the blue birds bouncing around to cause a lot of damage and get both tomatoes :)
true, but I have trouble keeping the game going long enough to score higher. I have to shoot the second bird pretty quickly and keep my fingers crossed.
I forgot how much I liked breakout!
Any other tomatoes? I have a feeling one of the higher blocks has a tomato…
51520;]
This level’s fun.
All level’s have fun!;D:)
I like it!
A little angry as the score stops while the birds are still breaking blocks.
Yes that is annoying I agreee….! Should ha ve way more points than I have!:(
How do you redirect the bird? I still haven’t figured out what that compass thing is or how I’m suppose to use it that occasionally flashes after I’ve shot the bird off. Anyway, watched the video, but don’t know how to redirect. Help!
The “compass” is actually crosshairs. When using the Lazer bird, wherever you tap on the screen is where the crosshairs will appear. The Lazer bird will then travel in a straight line toward the crosshairs.
65540 (three bird left)
In eggsteroid, the game only shows frist level. How do I unlock the other levels?
What’s wrong?
You have to unlock the levels. Click on the link in the post to see how to unlock them all.
61690 with the first and only bird. Take aim at the single block 4 rows down on the right side. Love this level…
This level is very hard to control!
Grrr… I had 49750 before and just got 49880. This level does not like me!
Ahhh… Just got a score of 50650. I fell better now
I found that launching red to the right, directly next to the tomato block, then shooting blue at the same trajectory, into the hole, gives much more points. There are also blocks above the screen, which can be destroyed when one of the blues get ‘stuck’ in the upper part.
More tips:
– Avoid fast kills. More time = more destruction!
– Make sure (sort of) hat the lower blocks don’t get destroyed too fast, to prevent birds from falling down. More birds = more destruction!
– Go green, get lucky! More L-factor = more destruction!
Your strategy works best for me… however I can’t get more than my score of 55k. Almost had 56k but one of the pigs didn’t pop. Going to continue trying.
!!! Fun Level !!!
I can’t zoom out on the 2-13. I’ve got an android if that info is any use,
Can you zoom out on any levels?
Not fair – As soon as both pigs are gone, the level stops, even though the red bird is still bouncing around causing damage – It wont let me get 3 stars! GRRR
Anyone else encounter this??
58,850, a 2-birder. If you can, try to get to the top part of the level, there are like, endless supply of blocks up there and can gain huge amount of points.
Does the giant turnip appear when you hit a certain score or is it if you hit a certain block.
I shoot to the right, hoping to quickly squeeze through the single layer brick to get to the top of the level. If that doesn’t happen within about 6 bounces, I reset. If the bird doesn’t get to the top quickly, it’ll bounce into the pigs before you have enough points.
If it does work, stay alert. If you look like you’re going to bounce into the second pig before beating your best score, quickly launch the second bird. There’s a good chance you’ll be compensated for the 10k penalty before the level times out.
This is what I did for 69350 on my iPad during today’s Challenge, I got a little lucky.
I revisited this level four years later and nabbed the high score.
72.440 was with 2 birds.
80.000 was with 1.
Those are my two best results after thousands upon thousands of restarts.
I also played this one thousands of time @burpie, but never came anywhere near your score. 80.000 is impressive.
62560/1
thx to @burpie for details and tip
here my video:

I snet red up into the single plank at the top right (the one that covers the top void, like the one at left with a pig on it). As soon as possible, I send blue into that hole and split at the top. Frequently I can get 2 birds bouncing around in there and cleaning it out while red and one blue wander around the lower section. If there’s a large # of intact blocks left somewhere, I may even send blue #2 above it and hope for the best. As others have said, it’s all about lucky pig-avoidance. I normally get 50-59k this way, obviously with loads of lower scores and a few higher ones as well.
For those who wonder what is above the normally visible part of the level, here it is:

(thanks @happyshake for the tip)
Hi @sglouk. Just started playing for today’s challenge. The pic you posted is interesting! How do you do it? I can’t see more than the first four rows (2 brown, 2 white) at the top.
@peejaydee27 With an old PC version, you can rescale the game window so as to obtain a “portrait mode” aspect ratio. The width of the view corresponds to the one you usually ave, therefore the upper and lower parts of the screen show otherwise invisible parts of levels. There is nothing much there, except for a few levels, among which this one as well as Pig Bang 1-17.
Thanks for the reply @sglouk. I only play on iPad, so I guess that’s why I can’t resize the screen. I suppose it’s academic anyway, as it’s not vital to see the hidden areas in order to aim! Cheers. :)
