Angry Birds Space Cosmic Crystals Level 7-2 Walkthrough

Our strategy for Angry Birds Space Cosmic Crystals level 7-2 is to fling the Red bird north of the first planet. Red will loop-the-loop a few times before breaking the easternmost crystal. The asteroid there will then speed westward, clearing the level. The score in the video below is 50,610.

Same as the video, but went a little closer to the top of the first planet.

Did the same – took a few attempts to get above average but thanks!!

Ditto. Full power and low over the first planet. Oddly enough for the highscore (a temporary honor, no doubt), debris did not hit the shard of glass to the North of the third planet.

A little less than full power & pretty darn close the the planet for 53130 on iPad. The app has been crashing a lot today & a number of flings before this I lost 52800 when it crashed before recording the score, fortunately, the app remained stable for this score ; -)

I think the only strat here is to follow the video, bird little closer to the planet and restart, restart and restart.

I got better scores with bird as FAR from planet as possible and still making it. It seemed to get a more energetic hit on far right asteroid. Could be my imagination, but scores were ~500-1000 higher on avg.

Equalling my score of 52260 is easy staying close to first planet. Beating it is quite another thing it seems. Can repeat the score every 50 or so shots but have not been able to improve.

Hello @xanadude & @frankieman . I hope that you will appreciate that I only tied you Top Score without going above it.

Top Score proof in case it is necessary:

Nothing much to say about the strat. The key to get many point is to have Red to fall together with the rocks toward the left planets. One possibility is to send him quite above the first planet, so that his closest approch is at 1:30 wrt it (4mm away on my iPhone screen). Then he passes quite close (but not as close as possible) to the second planet (2mm on my iPhone screen). Then he hits the third plant at ~1:30 wrt to it. Red then has to continue turning clockwise around the now freed rock and then go left, BUT he must hit the second planet after the infalling rock (if not, he will stop or bounce to the right). Red may possibly break the planet if the rock did nothis job. The point is that during this second infall, Red but trail behind and below the rock, so that the reaches the planet center after it has broken and can break as many debris as possible.

For my highscore, it is Red who broke the second planet, and he was significantly and unusually below the planet center, so that I presume he had a unusual bounce at that moment.

In any case, as long as Red falls toward the two planets, you are in position of getting good score if AB God are with you.

Btw, there is an unimportant glitch on the game that you can seen on this level:

When Red crosses the boundary of a gravitational field, this is heralded by a small puff of white smoke (you see it when he enters the first gravitational field). Now, when a crystal planet is being imploding, the edge of the gravitational field shrinks, but before it disappears, there is still the puff of smoke when Red reaches the initial (but not current) edge of the gravitational field. Since Red does not accelerate when in between the initial and current position of the edge of this gravitational field, I do not think it affects his motion, but the puff should not be seen anyway.

New top score proof:

Nothing much to add about this. I did a thorough pixel by pixel statistical analysis of some aiming zone, and ended up deciding which was the most promising one. The following vid shows my best score prior to top score, made using the very same (I think) aiming point:

In the end, it took me less time to beat top score than to find the correct aiming point. A more patient flinger doing the same will probably be able to grab a few more points.

54040/1 and shortly afterwards 54190/1 using the method used by everyone for high scores. Fairly close to planet but not crazily so. Proof to follow but the website is refusing to let me upload at the moment.
